I've attached the files I have of Torchic and Mudkip, but they're regular and not shiny. Checked the forums but unable to find anyone that has them. Can anyone send me in the right direction of obtaining the shiny versions, and hopefully a Treecko too? 255 - TORCHIC - 311EF99002D7.pk4 258 - MUDKIP - A5EBDB29D6B4.pk4

Hello. Im a little new to the pkhex program and Im wandering a few things regarding specific events. I downloaded from the event database (thx pp) the files for Pikachu Kanto, Hoenn and Sinnoh caps. I had no problem with Kanto but the other two appear to be "not legit" in the pkhex legality check. That is the message that appears. My question is: Are they still legit? I wont use the Pikachu crystal, but is it safe to Game Sync while having those two in my boxes? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks a lot for the support guys.

So, I've heard a lot of talk going around about how people think Hoenn was the worst of the region. And it seems like for every two comments of someone talking about how great Johto is, there's one comment for how lame Hoenn was. I really think Hoenn had some great places, but I think the real reason people didn't like it was it's regional pokedex. Hoenn was the first region to have a regional pokedex that didn't include all currently known pokemon. As a result, a LOT of the generation I and II Pokemon were simply cut out. There wasn't even a way to obtain them after beating the Elite 4 until Colosseum and FRLG came out. And I think that's what turned people off to Hoenn. On the flip side, think about the great music the RSE games had! And think about all of the cool locales! Mt. Pyre based on Sakurajima, Sootopolis City inside the volcano, Shoal cave with the changing tide, Mossdeep the coastal town with the Space Center, Lavaridge town with the hot spring, ALL of the volcano routes (the ones inside, the ones with the ash raining down), the desert route, Pacifidlog Town floating on the water like some kind of island bungalow, Fortree city up in the trees, ALL of the routes leading up to Fortree )with the tall grass, rain, wood bridges over waterfalls and rivers), the weather institute, and the above-ground secret bases that could be all over the place (those were seriously fun if you mixed records and went to search for your friends's bases). There really is a large variety of places, and many of them were really aesthetically pleasing. I think a lot of people were turned off by the amount of surfing in large, open, and long routes that took place in this game. It did get to be a little bit tedious and repetitive at times, but I really enjoyed the diving aspects of it. It really added depth (pun) to the game, and it was a unique way to get around. I really liked the fact that you had to dive underwater in order to get into Sootopolis City. All in all, I consider Hoenn to be really enjoyable and probably my favorite region (definitely better than Sinnoh). Anyone else out there that appreciates Hoenn? Or does everyone hate it?

Hoenn: Starters Poll Which starter from Hoenn did you choose? Comment on how it effected your game play and the over all idea of the Pokemon you choose. [sprite]252[/sprite][sprite]255[/sprite][sprite]258[/sprite] I personally choose Torchic. It helped me so much, I didn't need to restart again to decide if it was the right choice. It learned some of the most helpful moves and was the highest level Pokemon I had.

Hey all, I don't know if many people here have any experience with pkm files taken from a 3rd gen game, but for anyone who does, I have a problem that I could use some help with. I created a DDMence in Enciclopedia Pokemon (kind of like PokeSav for 3rd gen), it probably wouldn't pass a 4th gen legal test because it has all 31s and a naive nature but other than that, it's mostly legal. The thing is, since it has an egg move (Dragon Dance), I put it in a normal Poke ball and tried to make it look hatched on Hoenn Route 117. The problem is, there is no option in Enciclopedia Pokemon to make the Pokemon appear hatched - just one for making it an egg. So I opened the pkm file in a hex editor to see if I could manually adjust whichever bytes control the "egg hatched" data, but I have no idea which offset it is. Bulbapedia has a basic guide to the data structure of the pkm file, but I can't determine exactly where the "egg" data is. Could anyone help me out here? EDIT: Never mind, I figured out that setting "Level met" to 0 in EP makes it show the egg hatched note. Could a mod close this thread please?
