This rare variant can only be found in Pokémon Shield, though it is possible to invite others (including Sword) to join this Max Raid Battle. While always available for capture (if found) in a den in the Wild Area, an event from January 09 to February 06, 2020 made it more commonly found in Pokémon Shield, by having it appear in dens normally not associated with it. To be able to encounter the event variant, user's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period.. Alternatively user must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period. -

This save file has a 100% Completed Pokédex and the Story Completed. All save files are listed: USUM: “ProjectCherishUM1”: Contains events from Generations 2-3. ”ProjectCherishUM2”: Only contains events from Generation 3. ”ProjectCherishUM3”: Only contains events from Generations 3-5. ”ProjectCherishUM4”: Only contains events from Generations 5-6. ”ProjectCherishUM5”: Only contains Events from Generation 7 and includes the unreleased Event Pokemon. ”ProjectCherishEggsUM”: Only contains eggs from Events. (The eggs are hatched.) IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE SAVE FILE PLEASE RENAME IT TO "main" (obviously, without the quotation marks.) All events were Injected from PKHeX and PKSM. This gift is distributed to players via a serial code, given in participating stores in Europe, from 25 September to 25 October 2020. The codes are redeemable until January 31st, 2021 (Thanks @AlamosIT for the report). Using the Dynamax Crystal would allow the Pokémon to appear at the Watchtower Lair's Den as a max raid. The Pokémon can be Shiny with standard odds. Attached there are the wonder card, the standard Pokémon and the Shiny variation. To be able to use the items associated with the event, including injecting items into the save and getting it to work, the player's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period. Alternatively the player must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period. This gift can be redeemed on either Sword or Shield. This events also has a certain fixed IVs. As of time of writing, end date for the serial code redemption is presently unknown. In order for the item (whether redeemed or hacked in) to function, players would need to have at least Wild Area Event #24 downloaded into the save. (When collecting a Mystery Gift, a copy of the Wild Area News would be downloaded to the save) As of LGPE, wonder cards are no longer stored in saves. As such, players will not be able to inject this event into their save using PKHeX. As I said above, if you import the wild area news, such as this one, the crystals will be usable. Tutorial regarding how to import wild area news. (The tutorial is generalized, you gotta import the 4 blocks to the correct spot) [If you updated wild area news in the game, you would not need to import the blocks] -

The indexes account for which event in the game first. Index 16 came first, then index 17 (Easter event) interrupted the index 16 distribution. Now that the Easter event ended, GF servers loaded the same event, but as index 18. In other words, even if the mons are the same, they’ll always go up by an index. This happened with other wild area news before. -

From Index 01 to Index 08, the Wild Area News makes it available to catch a Gigantamax Butterfree via the Dynamax Crystal ★And337 on Pokémon Shield, even though ★And337 was not made available to players until Index 14, which by then the encounter was changed to Gigantamax Corviknight.
