  1. While it is true Mono Spiritomb does have the proper support, and it does work really well late game, it's a little risky to go that way if your whole team has a problem with physical attacks, particularly if Dark Pulse is resisted by the very Fighters and Steels it wants to take down. That is, unless that whole team is based off having Spiritomb sweep, then that would be okay. I was just suggesting WoW on it is all, though if you still want that Spiritomb, just stick WoW on Entei. Yeah I just found out what the whole point system was as I edited a bit above. As for bulky waters, Meganium should be suitable enough to take them for the most part (save Freeze hax, it has Aromatherapy and Synthesis and quite hard to take down by bulky waters, electrics and grounds). Hm it said they weren't allowed, but now it is? If you have Wish support of some kind, it would be helpful, but otherwise, I wouldn't remove Synthesis. You can stick Leech Seed in its place then just to be annoying (or Toxic, whichever one works). Yeah I remember Alan. Tell the guy I said hi. It is past 11 AM here, so I have to leave now. *stares at "Lax Bro" and your biography and I am somewhat getting a hint of who thou art...*
  2. Oh come on, Beartic isn't even weak either. Is it outclassed by Mamoswine? Unfortunately... it looks like a much weaker Mamoswine, though it has Focus Punch and fist moves Mamoswine could not possibly get. 95/80/80 isn't soft either: it's just that its typing doesn't help much with resistances and all. Samurott has 95/80/70 defences (I think), so it is slightly above Samurott's. They tend to make Ice types slow and bulky, but the problem is they didn't give it enough resistances. I think that's all that's needed to fix Ice types: more resistances. Anyhow, those are nice change suggestions. That bear should climb Waterfalls. It's like their concept of a Water/Ice without the Water type, but they did not really give it much physical water moves.
  3. I'm not sure what all that point system is, but to help around your strong physical hit weakness, try to put Will-o-Wisp on one of your Pokemon in the first team. Spiritomb may be ideal because it is tanky enough to take hits, and MonoAttack Spiritomb is not exactly easy to set up. Either that guy or Rotom works, it is your choice. Since Entei is not running a bulky set, it hardly has room for that and should just be attacking as much as possible. That Entei would love Life Orb, but if the Recoil turns you down, run Expert Belt instead, as super-effective hits take down things much quicker. HP Grass is only for specific uses, such as to 2HKO Swampert and the likes that have 4x weakness to Grass. It's only for surprise value and to add coverage, but if you don't like that, run a status move instead or even Overheat or maybe Howl. Why doesn't this guy learn Earthquake already???? For your other team, yes, Thunder Wave is very nice to have on Slowking, because not only is your team quite slow (save Moltres, but 90 speed isn't always reliable), but Ground Pokemon do not normally switch in on Slowking, while it generally will not live long enough to Toxic stall hard physical attackers unfortunately (which Slowbro does slightly better on). Don't stick it on Cobalion because Cobalion's #1 switch-ins tend to be Ground types. If you do run Thunder Wave, maybe you can also try Iron Head on Cobalion just to be annoying. Taunt is also learned by Nidoqueen. As much as I like Nidoqueen, Nidoking is generally better for the offensive type of set you are running. Yes, some slight bulk helps, but generally it will not combat her weakness to common Water/Ice/Ground moves she hates. You can stick Toxic or Toxic Spikes on one of her moves (maybe Flamethrower) if you feel Toxic is needed. That + Dragon Tail combo is quite annoying, though you can use Meganium for that. EDIT: Never mind. I see the point system and Nidoking is 20 points. What a huge jump from Nidoqueen. I didn't expect them to be THAT far apart.

<p><p><p><p><p><p>They're okay offensively, and Cloyster isn't anything like meh. They're just... well, bulky and powerful but uninterestingly slow. There's not much disadvantage to them but the problem is there's water Pokemon with less weaknesses and generally better utility. Water/Ice also lacks Scald unfortunately. Ice doesn't add anything but Ice STAB (which isn't bad) and many many weaknesses and nullifying Fire resistance. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I'd say Lapras is quite good and has great movepool and even counters other bulky waters. It's just that SR weakness and other stuff that hinders it, such as generally unimpressive stats (as of this gen), as nothing goes above 100 but HP.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>And yes, it will happen, making it the fourth Fire/Fighting. In all honesty, I'd hate that to happen, as I really really love foxes.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Too many Water/Ice, but I would like that, especially if it isn't a bulk machine but a powerhouse like Ice types are supposed to be. Most water starters have bulk, but they just don't have speed. Blastoise and Feraligatr are tied for the fastest Water starters... and you know how "fast" they are. And strangely, Feraligatr is more physically defensive than Blastoise is. And Samurott, though offensively tailored for mixed attacker, is still quite bulky and not a powerhouse. I think the only way they'd pull this one is if they lowered one of its attack stats (lower than Empoleon's) and raise the base speed instead. I don't like how Empoleon has the speed of Swampert and learns all sorts of physical moves and not enough special attacks to take advantage of its special stat. How the frog will turn out, who knows? </p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>You know the fox is supposed to be a Fire/Fighting. It will happen.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Oh so you're playing the "different game" I see. Froslass is a tough one to use: it's not exactly what I'd call easy but she is mostly utility and some other craziness. Spikes, fast Taunt, Thunder Wave, STAB Ice Beam, Destiny Bond, Cursed Body... so many things.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Walrein with Thick Fat is not quite bad, but it is mostly outdone by things like Lapras or something. Why not run Super Fang + Brine on that thing? Too bad it cannot learn Scald <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Arcanine is just too recoil happy for my tastes, but it gets its job done. If you have the right support, it beats things very handily. Try to get Flash Fire because things are so WoW happy these days (particularly UU), but Intimidate is great also.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I don't like Poliwrath much either, but it's not hate or anything. Also Whimsicott is trololol. Great dislike for that thing.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  10. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Is... THAT... POKEMON???!!! Since when did it turn so... I don't even know. And Looker with Team Rocket? Wut? And what's with the Reshiram vs Charizard? Mass Genosects (clone wars?). Strange thing. Also those new characters all appear in B2W2.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  11. <p><p><p><p><p><p>As for the frog... eww it will become another Water/Fighting like most of the other frog-like in this game. I'm sure of it. Heck they will troll and make all starters with secondary Fighting type. As for Cofagrigus, as long as someone's there with Roar, Haze isn't all that required. Though I will say Haze is helpful at times, like if the person is at his last Pokemon or being a jerk and using a Curse Cradily, but there's always Taunt for that thing. Baton Passed Octillery with Suction Cups is a nightmare to face, but I doubt you will let THAT happen.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  12. <p><p><p><p><p><p>As for Arcanine: don't go too offensive on it: capitalise on some of its bulk so that it can live longer because it has too many recoil moves that really add up to losing its health (not to mention the Stealth Rocks weakness). Mixed is fine, though most of its moves really are stronger on the physical side, particularly Flare Blitz, Wild Charge, and the hereditary Close Combat. I don't think Morning Sun is legal with Close Combat, unfortunately. It also gained Outrage, but without STAB, it's not really worth using. Everything in my game, I swear... Arcanine's Outrage leaves them with 1 HP or something. Arcanine is my most fainted Pokemon in my game, just to let you know. But then again, I'm a critical magnet, and that was horrendous.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  13. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Oh you did not tell me you were using Bulk Up. Okay that explains everything. And seriously you are lacking Ice Pokemon? There's so many Ice Pokemon in the lower tiers: are you sure you don't want to use Froslass or Glaceon <3? I ran a defensive Glaceon once that actually survived Hitmontop's Close Combat (taking 81% though) and abusing Snow Cloak. If only it had high HP those defensive stats would not seem like a waste... but it is scary with that Blizzard in Hail. If I remember correctly, Abomasnow is now UU, which makes the set viable. Abomasnow + Walrein: now that thing's annoying if Prankster Pokemon with Taunt don't come in and ruin the day. Hey wanna try Glalie? I really like Lapras, or even Jynx. Cryogonal makes great support, and Regice is nigh unbreakable.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  14. <p><p><p><p><p><p>As for Arcanine, it either has offensive (physical recoil set with Choice Band or Life Orb) or a defensive set with Intimidate and some other useful utility moves like Will-o-Wisp and Roar along with Flamethrower and the likes. It's up to you to see what works for your team. Honestly though, I used to run bulky attacker so it was bulky enough to take Gyarados's Waterfalls and 2HKO with Thunder Fang (this was Gen IV, now at Gen V it has Wild Charge). Do what you wish.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Beartic? I don't have one unfortunately because I have not found a Cubchoo yet. Even so, Twist Mountain isn't even available until AFTER you beat the E4. This game is strange. It's strangely addicting, but has some stupid things as usual. Look at the "Most Memorable Moments" thread in the B2W2 section and see what one of the game barriers was. It's LITERALLY as if they don't even try anymore!</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>You don't really need to use it in the rain or hail: Snow Cloak isn't too reliable and Swift Swim is DW. Wow I love Glaceon and Froslass. I'd run Froslass if I ever get access to it. Wait... that bear actually lived through Flare Blitz and Close Combat STAB? There's something wrong there.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>If your Cofagrigus is offensive then honestly Pain Split isn't all that great of an option: it only slows you down. Only use it if it is the usual defensive buffer, as the lack of recovery made it hard to use. I have no idea why you would have Haze and NP on the same set though.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  16. Ah. Yeah, leaving that thing with 1 HP made me quite a bit annoyed. But at least White Kyurem is manageable with something like Azumarill with Superpower (acquired at Level 42). Black Kyurem on the other hand... I don't even want to think about it. That thing forces me to run a Magneton or something just to resist its attack. I just defeated the league single-handedly with a Serperior, believe it or not. Although Serperior really had a hard time for the majority of the game (even Clay proved troublesome), it really paid off during the league. And I even predicted my old time nemesis, a timely CRITICAL HIT and healed right before it happened! I guess this here is another memorable moment, although I only need ONE MORE EXP (quite literally) to reach Level 63, and the Champion's last Pokemon left me hanging there. Grrr... [Easy Mode Unlocked] Hey what? No Challenge Mode?
  17.

<p><p><p><p><p><p>This game is actually quite addicting, but honestly, I have never seen more pro-globalist and occultic images in any other Pokemon games I have played: it is rather disturbing me, to be honest, as I am a man of faith and I have studied quite a bit (but not extensively, though I plan to) regarding the esoteric and the occult. Anyways you wouldn't believe me but I just swept the entire league with Serperior and even predicted a critical hit! Insane right?</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Good for you. Beartic can be quite amazing actually: think of it as a worse Mamoswine without a STAB priority move (but still gets Aqua Jet anyhow). Nasty Plot Cofagrigus? Unexpected but it works. Now that it gets Pain Split have you actually utilised it?</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I don't get it. I walk in that route and all of a sudden Virizion comes out of nowhere and challenges me? So weird.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Even if it does not look like it, I am quite busy this whole entire week and the following. And when we do battle, I'm probably not going to be too serious. But we shall see.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I just started playing White 2 again. Serperior got much harder to use in this gen because of Poison Pokemon spam from Team Galactic. Seriously, Grimers with Sludge Bomb and Minimize in Double battles are annoying, particularly when your partner's Pokemon's AI sucks and spams ARM THRUST on Golbat or something ridiculous <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>It really was too soon. What, it was like 3 months after the English versions of B2W2? [i'm using English ones because they're the only ones I can read aside from Korean, French and Spanish, but Korean isn't really compatible with the other versions and all.] Also we haven't really been deep into the BW metagame... not that it's in any way, shape or form balanced, but still. And why are you failing writers craft? <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow.png" alt=":|" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

  25. I am torn between Huotsuko and Keromatsu this time, but I'm leaning towards the froggy. This is all aesthetics wise of course, as I have no idea what their stats or their final forms' appearance are. The fact I chose Grass type last generation influences me to lean for the other two (though I want to try out Samurott in Gen V).
