Ooh yes. Martin Luther... there's a LOT about this man that changed the way the medieval people thought and a lot in the political landscape. Mind you, his ideas were not new and the Protestant way of thinking did exist since the beginning of Christianity. A very important figure might I add... and maybe one of the reasons why Germany was chosen to be targeted by the Vatican. More on that later...

Talking about WWI and the events leading to WWII. I could go more into this eventually, and even to the past. However, I'm of the belief Rome (read: Vatican City) is behind all of this, selecting GERMANY in particular to take revenge on them for the Protestant Reformation that took place in 1500s by Martin Luther.

I suppose I could go on PO eventually, but wait a bit.

Media is AIDS. Eh, I think Wilhelm was right in many ways, but wasn't communicating effectively and that everyone was too blinded by their hatred of his personality to understand his goals, and used that little struggle between the Russians and the Germans as an excuse to attack the Second Reich once and for all. Russian's so called allies Britain and France were cheering when the Russian Empire fell and the Americans didn't even join until that moment, and had a clever excuse to join (Lusitania sunk because they brought the ship PROVOKING German U-boats to attack it when the Germans CLEARLY said do NOT bring any boats there). Seriously...

As much as I despise Hitler, I think his leadership skills were rather needed for Germany in shambles at that time... but they shouldn't have kicked the Kaiser out.

Interesting. But there were other reasons why Rome fell though, and it isn't just economy. Rome hasn't really fallen btw... it still exists, waiting to be restored.

Well of course, but if it wasn't for the American involvement, the dynasties may have been preserved. But of course there were others. George V calls Wilhelm II the most evil beast who has ever lived on earth. However he declines the idea of hanging him. Wilhelm was sent to exile in Netherlands. Hitler and the Nazis kept toying around with him, but Wilhelm was no friend to them, and Hitler even forbade people to attend Wilhelm's funeral, which most of the Nazis defied. Wilhelm asked that he wouldn't be buried in Germany as long as it isn't a monarchy and no swastikas be shown in his funeral. His first wish was granted... the second one? Not so much <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

France had a huge grudge against Germany mind you since the 1870s... which I'm sure you already knew.

What particular mistake about the Romans are you speaking of? It's interesting you say that because America is pretty much modeled heavily on Greco-Roman influences. Just look at District of Columbia; it speaks for itself.

The stereotypes don't just stop with just the Germans. But Americans are dumb enough that they can't tell the difference between an Arab and a Russian (true fact)!

Treaty of Versailles put too much pressure on the Germans... kicking out the Hapsburg and Hohenzollern out of the scene. It was mostly, yes, due to the American pressure and how and why they were involved. Politics is a game... much like chess, the pawns go first. Only with America, it is deceitful. At least in former European monarchies, people would gladly give their lives for their nation to either defend it or whatnot. But with the Americans... there's always some "tyrant" across the seas that they must slay and spread democracy because it is what the people want. Sinking of ships (Lusitania, Maine, etc...) all end up with Americans fighting some foreign nation for the ends of the politician!

Eh the Russians were a terrible breed at that point too. They were headed by Stalin and it was the Soviet Union, which the Americans would fight afterwards in the Cold War. They only allied with each other for practical reasons, and as much as I hate to say it, but I would side with the Americans in this case, as they are the LESSER of the two evils. But yes, I see what you mean.

Oh you don't know how terribly the Germans were treated before all this incident. Kaiser Wilhelm II, aka Kaiser Bill, the one every Allied powers of WWI would say was a tyrant, brute, and evil, was not a bad person at all. He was maligned horribly by the media and the British, especially by his first cousin King George V, who hated his guts. In fact, all of his cousins/relatives hated him, which was sad. Well, I'm not sure about his other cousin, Nicholas II, but Germans and Russians went into war against each other because of Serbia. If they didn't kick out Wilhelm... there would have been no Hitler.

That sounds like stuff I've talked about before. Russian winter storm, always saving them. During Alexander I's reign, Napoleon was stopped hard cold by the winterstorm, here it repeats with Hitler's forces. During the Seven Years War, the Prussian (present day Germany) king was about to commit suicide as he was going to be destroyed completely by the Russians, but a miracle happened according to them... as Empress Elisabeth of Russia died that night and her successor was Peter III, who was pro-Prussian, and he pulled away the Russians from the war. It was called the Miracle of the House of Brandenburg. Hitler was hoping something like that would happen but it didn't... instead he got the Napoleon treatment. Oops.

Just stating that because it came into my mind.

Every time I try bringing that stuff up they go "Oh there he goes again..." It's definitely not easy to talk about stuff like that. Sometimes attentive, other times it's just the typical me or whatever. I don't know if most people really want to go deep.

Deep stuff with family? Okay... yeah happens sometimes, but not all the time. And stuff like that brings you down?

Emperor Joseph II of Austrian Empire once said "Government should be for the people but never by the people". He was the musical emperor... the one during Mozart's time, and the brother of the tragic Marie Antoinette, the last queen of France.

Like I said, democracy is too ideal for people. The elites are looking for a worldwide democracy, reviving old Atlantis. I may sound silly now, but it will all make sense pretty soon.

I would never rely on government for everything. Their role is to protect people's rights and govern over us, not to tyrannise us! Modern republics tend to do that, very unstable. The only reason America doesn't suffer that is because it is based off British checks and balances and some Polish aspects. But still, head of state = president representing Walmart or McDonald's instead of a monarch representing the good of the nation. There's UK's and US's primary difference.

Yeah sure, PO.

That's exactly a problem; trivial matters for the sake of stupidity! People these days <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

These presidents know they can pretty much do whatever they want for 5 years (5 years in France... 4 years in U.S. methinks and possibility of re-election) so nothing stops them and will do whatever they want to be in power and do whatever they want to change the political landscape. It's disturbing... and in the UK the PM has too much power atm. The parliament seems to make all the decisions for the Queen... all due to democracy <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Separation can be a good thing sometimes, but at other times it's disturbing (apartheid anyone?). However, right now the world is going into a union that it has never seen before. It's rather scary and seems like the revival of the Roman Empire...

Got three hours to kill? Or too busy?

Oh, and the other problem with democracy; people NEVER know what they want. Once people get all that power some few handful of revolutionaries fight for, they all wonder what to do with it. So they just agree with whatever is politically correct or what their neighbours want. I know we all have our opinions, but for the most part, everyone needs a leader. China is a great example: that is a nation that will never do without a leader, and so the communist nation they are in, no matter how bad it is, is essentially the filler for their lost empire. When republics such as America elects their leaders, the leader owes some allegiance to their political party, instead of seeking the benefit of their nation. That is a problem. What America needs is a leader that is beyond popular votes, any partisan political parties, and seeking the benefit of their nation instead of ideologies, but they got past that back in 1783 right? Oh wait...
