Mind you, his ideas were not new and the Protestant way of thinking did exist since the beginning of Christianity. George V calls Wilhelm II the most evil beast who has ever lived on earth. However he declines the idea of hanging him. Wilhelm was sent to exile in Netherlands. Hitler and the Nazis kept toying around with him, but Wilhelm was no friend to them, and Hitler even forbade people to attend Wilhelm's funeral, which most of the Nazis defied. Wilhelm asked that he wouldn't be buried in Germany as long as it isn't a monarchy and no swastikas be shown in his funeral. His first wish was granted... the second one? It was mostly, yes, due to the American pressure and how and why they were involved. Politics is a game... much like chess, the pawns go first. Only with America, it is deceitful. At least in former European monarchies, people would gladly give their lives for their nation to either defend it or whatnot. But with the Americans... there's always some "tyrant" across the seas that they must slay and spread democracy because it is what the people want. Sinking of ships (Lusitania, Maine, etc...) all end up with Americans fighting some foreign nation for the ends of the politician!</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Eh the Russians were a terrible breed at that point too. They were headed by Stalin and it was the Soviet Union, which the Americans would fight afterwards in the Cold War. They only allied with each other for practical reasons, and as much as I hate to say it, but I would side with the Americans in this case, as they are the LESSER of the two evils. But yes, I see what you mean.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Oh you don't know how terribly the Germans were treated before all this incident. Kaiser Wilhelm II, aka Kaiser Bill, the one every Allied powers of WWI would say was a tyrant, brute, and evil, was not a bad person at all. He was maligned horribly by the media and the British, especially by his first cousin King George V, who hated his guts. In fact, all of his cousins/relatives hated him, which was sad. Well, I'm not sure about his other cousin, Nicholas II, but Germans and Russians went into war against each other because of Serbia. If they didn't kick out Wilhelm... there would have been no Hitler.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>That sounds like stuff I've talked about before. Russian winter storm, always saving them. During Alexander I's reign, Napoleon was stopped hard cold by the winterstorm, here it repeats with Hitler's forces. During the Seven Years War, the Prussian (present day Germany) king was about to commit suicide as he was going to be destroyed completely by the Russians, but a miracle happened according to them... as Empress Elisabeth of Russia died that night and her successor was Peter III, who was pro-Prussian, and he pulled away the Russians from the war. It was called the Miracle of the House of Brandenburg. Hitler was hoping something like that would happen but it didn't... instead he got the Napoleon treatment. Oops.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

But still, head of state = president representing Walmart or McDonald's instead of a monarch representing the good of the nation. There's UK's and US's primary difference.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

It's disturbing... and in the UK the PM has too much power atm. Once people get all that power some few handful of revolutionaries fight for, they all wonder what to do with it. So they just agree with whatever is politically correct or what their neighbours want. I know we all have our opinions, but for the most part, everyone needs a leader. China is a great example: that is a nation that will never do without a leader, and so the communist nation they are in, no matter how bad it is, is essentially the filler for their lost empire. When republics such as America elects their leaders, the leader owes some allegiance to their political party, instead of seeking the benefit of their nation. That is a problem. What America needs is a leader that is beyond popular votes, any partisan political parties, and seeking the benefit of their nation instead of ideologies, but they got past that back in 1783 right? Oh wait...</p></p></p></p></p></p>
