  1. The obvious thing is that you named it "ssapphire.bin" when it should be "ssapphire.romfs".

    well damn... I'm blind

Don't name it 0011C500, I have a launcher specifically for Star Sapphire that will load the files with the proper set. If that's not showing up, you put the files StarSapphire.smdh and StarSapphire.xml in the wrong place. They should be in sd:/3ds right next to the eshop smdh..

Yeah that's the thing - after the first 2 launcher of HBL not even eshop shows up anymore. That said, it must be a personal issue of me overlooking something

  2. Did you edit the romFS with a hex editor? I forgot and have a black screen. When I get a chance, I'm going to try it to see if it works.

I have the same issue as Mantager and I did in fact do the hex editor thing. Here's the steps I took most recently (tried so many things...)

    - Dump game using braindump

    - Edit it in HxD

    - rename it to ssapphire.bin

    - put all files on SD card appropriately.

    - notice that for god knows what reason my homebrew launcher refuses to see the star sapphire forwarder thus rename the ssapphire.bin and .code files to 0011C500.bin and .code (since that is the titleid according to HANS)

(note: it also doesn't show the eshop thing anymore...)

    - after all that run it through HANS saying with options: region=--- / language=-- / firmware spoof=no / overclock=default (old3ds) / load code and romfs=yes / save config=yes

    - it loads some stuff then gets this black screen:

  3. That's incorrect. It is still totally possible to pokegen on 3ds. Also that patched method can still be used if you haven't updated, but there is an updated method anyway.

First of all it was never ever possible to pokegen on the (3)DS because PokeGen ran on your PC. What IS possible is dumping the game save and transferring that to your PC.

Secondly, if you were implying homebrew with "it is still possible" then might I remind you that you quoted a comment of mine dating back 15th of MAY this year.

And lastly, regardless of it being possible there is still close to no reason. For checking legality one can just use his brain.exe and for distributing events / fully legal mons etc there are great communities on reddit.

Subreddit PokémonTrades is the best out there for fully legal trading - in fact, over there it is a rule violation to trade modified mons.

(And there are many other similar very active subreddits where trading modified mons is allowed

  4. For the other Hax methods (Ironhax, OoThax, Smashhax), I need to waint until Smealum update their payloads.

Exactly, and to all, mind you that at least oot3dhax downloads Smea's payload during the installation so I would assume that once the ironhax payload is updated it won't be long at all for oot3dhax to be updated. But if that is fully correct then it is safe to say that oot3dhax wont be updated before ironhax.

  5. On another note, it is really annoying that Nintendo does not allow individual software transfers. Google/Android allows account syncing across multiple devices, so Nintendo is being really backwards on this matter, in addition to them still region-locking their hardware.

Iwata did say half a year back or so that it is being considered for next gen consoles to not have a region lock anymore - but that is to be seen really.

  6. Too bad I don't have Smash, as I'm not much of a fan of it x'D

EDIT: Oh, the free Demo does it too? Let me update my own 2DS first (the one without Ironfall) & go to e-Shop x'D

Quick question: BTW that Smash demo has a limited amount of uses, at 30. Does it mean this new Smash-Hax will have a limited amount of uses too? :0

Hmm i'm afraid so... I guess the demo part is mainly gifted to those who have the infinite demo. I'd say keep an eye on gbatemp, perhaps someone finds a way to extend the 30 uses. (I doubt simple save dumping and re injecting will do)

  7. lol digital is expen$ive, might not buy some games I don't need to play only for the sole purpose of hacking x'D (I might if it's retail, probably)

BTW, a question about restoring/backing up saves in the main Pokemon games. If you accidentally press "B" to restore & overwrite your save instead of backing up by pressing "A", while the "main" file from your SD is deleted, your recent save file will still be safe, right?

I assume it would give an error as it can't find the main file...

  8. Hmm never knew that until now, although I'm hearing about OoT3Dhax before but I thought to myself it just simply means wither of the 3: Iron-, Tube-, & Ninj- hax.

Then again how much does Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D cost? Might need some more money on that x'D

Eshop it's 49,99. Retail and used should be cheaper (round 30's i guess). But Cubic Ninja is even more expensive for sure.

  9. Ninjhax doesnt need internet but a better way besides tube, iron and ninjhax is OoT3Dhax (Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D). This being because it is easier to obtain and even is still available on the eshop. (A digital copy would save you the hassle of switching cartridges for homebrew)

  10. The Game boots normally when playing normally, but all the time i load the Pokémon AS Cart on Sdm it causes this. I'm becoming frustrated with this! Sigh....

Last night Smea added 10.0 to possible firmwares for tubehax, did you choose that or is it still on 9.9?

Are OR and AS both on the same update version?

Otherwise I'm really stumped on possible reasons. Especially since OR of all games does work.
