That's not entirely true. The more people that have a decrypted save, the more likely it is one of those people finds a way to reencrypt, and therefore (literally?) crack the code.
Anyways, I'd love to do a video on decrypting your X/Y save but for the fact I've never done any tutorial ever.
Actually I meant to say I would do the video haha. I've done quite a few tutorial video's in the past. Though non are all that big or anything.

So uhm someone was requesting a video tutorial for full decryption of a US / Europe (in my case the latter) save before. If there are others that would be interested in this I could make it one of these days but I kinda do want appeal up front because of the fact that having a fully decrypted save file, as said many times, is pretty pointless at the current stage of research.

I know, a few friends and I are working with a modded 3DS and have successfully reencrypted the save into a legit NA cartridge. Now we are trying to figure out how to reencrypt for a non-modded 3DS manually.
All I can say is .. Keep us updated and mainly keep up the work. Would be awesome if it works out.

I don't think it's possible for someone to simply "build a re-signing program", and if it were, it'd be posted on here. There's a tool for every current possible task imaginable, including a re-signing program that only works with the Cyber Gadget Save Editor dongle. Which piece of hardware is your friend hoping to utilise? The Powersaves and Cyber Gadget work server-side, and the R4i dongle can only decrypt older 3DS games, not games with X/Y's encryption. For about 24 hours (probably less) you could abuse the Powersaves dongle and brute force Pokemon in, but they patched that immediately.
Either way, there's a (written) tutorial on here that is pretty easy to follow. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?37269-X-Y-Save-File-Research&p=183148&viewfull=1#post183148
You can only partially decrypt, through.
Actually SciresM continues the tutorial towards a fully decrypted save1 file here: Full Decryption. Not that powersaves, as you say, does re-signing however so having it is one thing, being able to do something with it is .. something else.

I'm sure many people could but I did decrypt my English save file so I can open it in pkhex for that. I'm on holi's atm though...

If that truly means so much to you. I only wanted to show off what other people consider my awesome voice again... #TooBrag4Me
I kid. People have actually said my voice is good for tuto's but I never felt special about it.

So I don't know if the region editor code on power saves works.
im trying to make my tanbatta jirachi (from power saves) look like it was obtained on a japanese DS
You can change your game language to Japanese and then get your jirachi. When changing back to English it'll have the JPN tag.

I have a friend who is willing to help us if we can give him the details to build a re-signing program. Also, would it be too much to ask if a tutorial video can be made to show us how to decrypt a backed up save file from powersave?
Uh I could perhaps work on that video tutorial but I'm on vacation at the moment so it'll be a while until I can get started

It's C++.
Ah ok thanks.

So I've been wondering for the past day here. With all the data dumped of both X/Y and ORAS, was there ever any info found on which programming language was used to create both mentioned games? I've been trying to find it on google but the only thing I can find is that R/B/Y were made in Assembly. Nothing related to X/Y/OR/AS.

If this is your method of getting japanese event pokemon look japanese. You Don't have to start a new game. Just use the powersaves code to change language.

yes it works its the same thing
k thanks

Hey people,
I've been doing some 'research' in prices etc. of the cybergadget and the answer to this question is likely burrowed in one of the threads but I really don't feel like searching countless pages so I'll just ask it here:
Does the old Cybergadget 1 still work or are we forced to use Cybergadget 2?
-
They're identical to the real ones. Is anything legal if you use Powersaves?
Well said. In my opinion I'm not bothered at all by legality of powersaves and such, but as a very frequent user of Facebook groups I see a lot of ranting, hating and praising going around. It is these discussions that always call for the discussion of "legality" and "legitimately". If taken those two terms apart of each other, powersaves would in fact be legal, but not legitimate. (That excludes the lati@s codes, "all tools [it adds cherish balls and whatnot]" code, and the fake diancie wondercard code I'd say)

you need bootcamp with mac devices
Can't exactly find if you're answering someone or asking the question, but either way, wouldn't using Parallels or Wine work as well? I don't have a Mac myself but from experience I learned through friends who do I would think those could work...

So, I guess you could just run through the game as the invisible woman or something.
Now if that would give you infinite repel effect, that would be cool though.

In that case just use PokeSav to edit BW2 save file then transfer it via PokeBank. We use PKHeX mainly for kalos-born pokemon
I agree with you on this end but you kinda do have to know what you're doing. Assuming some person would make them from scratch anyway...
p.s. imo pokegen does a better job than pokesav when it comes down to pokemon editing / creating btw...

My Pokemon that need moves edited
Sylveon -Wish and double edge, Rayquaza V-create, and Victini Glaciate, Blue Flare and Bolt Strike
my Friend Code: 2406-5142-4962
Personally I would consider an event victini that was not meant to have the moves you ask yet still has them through CGSE cheating (referring to things that are not legit to have, in certain ways of seeing it using CGSE as a whole is cheating) which earlier you said you do not support.. just saying.
Same counts for the rayquaza and sylveon if it's "kalos-born"...

Hi, I wrote a web application to get a better view of our exported data:
It currently support Reddit's format and I'm looking for someone to host it
Just gave it a test run, pretty neat tool you made!

Well.. I ended up reinstalling Java (the installer told me I had it installed already, as I thought). Then I downloaded it again and again as thought, it was something quite obvious that I overlooked. My file was called "Metropolis.jar.zip"; by simply removing the .zip extension it works a-ok now. Thing is, when extracting the files like any other archive (for which I use 7zip, not that it really matters), it would give me these files: http://puu.sh/8wIJr.png

Hi there,
I'm probably just overlooking something super obvious, but after going through the 5 pages of this thread I just can't seem to find the method for opening version 1.2 of the program.
After unzipping the downloaded file to a folder I named "Metropolis" (for easy finding) I checked the unzipped files, but I can't seem to find any .jar file to execute.
I hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong

With the existence of powersaves and that device holding access close to all event pokémon already, I for one can understand that adding Gen VI Wondercards isn't exactly a priority anymore. The argument on the request of powersaves having them and the person who asked having to buy the device is, in my honest opinion, more than valid.
Adding to that the fact that as far as I know CyberGadget would be the only method of injecting said wondercards and re-saving the game, what's the point to add them then? People would still have to dish out the money.
p.s. not that it really matters that much at the current stage, but to reply on your "c", I checked the price of device+game+CGSE myself a while back and accumulated to about 250 USD or a little less for Euros. Excluding shipping.
