You uploaded the data which belongs to this card a few posts above. It might as well help to see how that kind of data looks like for the other cards.

Also this doesn't seem to be the data that is written on the card (it's too large when you compare them), it's more like data that get's executed by the game when the 21st card would be scanned in.

Maybe we can replace the data of one of the 20 released cards in the Colosseum ROM with this data of the unreleased one. So by doing that maybe we caYhan load this data by just scanning in one of the released cards.

That exactly what @StarsMmd is trying to do with Dolphin. But it's hard to emulate e-reader I guess.

    Here the first card bin.

    Maybe you will be luckier.

Even if I could extract it, it would be completely useless unless we can inject into the demo's save file and load it. Different internal IDs means it's incompatible with the final GSC.

    Ok, here's my method:

-in demo, put the Pokemon in first slot of your team

-in memory viewer, dump the RAM at D6B2 (30 bytes)

-in Kin (Japanese Gold) catch a random useless Pokemon and put it in first slot of your team

-paste via memory viewer your demo data Pokemon at D9F0

-change the ID of the first Pokemon of your team at D9E9 (HEX table here)

-if it's a generation 2 pokemon you will also have to change the first byte of the past Pokemon

ex : CB for Girafarig instead of 00?

-save if almost everything seems correct

-in Pkhex correct the nickname, the OT and sometimes the level of your Pokemon.

Edit: Got a wild Tentacruel and a wild Shark too ^^ Also Pikachu does not remain shiny

    073 - ドククラゲ - 7465.pk2

  3. Finally got them, that was hard because of custom moveset, bug in the attacks (which I think occurs with wild Pokemon too) ...

    RAM adress CE00

Next quest: Force-load the 21st card. Off topic: anyone has a legal shiny Oranguru to trade me?

    Edit: Forgot the Slowking ^^

    199 - ヤドキング - 4A7B.pk2

i mean the point is that you have to shiny hunt or hunt down the pokemon you want it to have in the wild to get to the right pokeball u want it to have. They should add that feature to Gen 8 to pass down the ball when people are breeding it make people's lives much more easier

I have a theory about: it's because of the Gender Unknown Group.

In that case which Pokeball should the baby Pokemon inherit?

But they can resolve that case in gen8 I really hope so (and distribute DreamBall/ParkBall/ContestBall Ditto as well).

I think you misunderstood what Jojo said.

Based on context of the conversation we were having thus far,
Jojo didn't understand why they removed certain balls, not that he didn't understand why there's balls.

In fact I was questionning only game mechanics not artistic director that made the choice. But I still though it was stupid to make exclusives Pokeball when the way to get them is down and you can't pass it easily.

Yeah, the Pal Park Ball is effective a fancy way to retain Gen 3 Poke Balls.

Additionally, Apricorn balls might not return in future games. We all know how they like to take mechanics away...

I really don't know the logic behind that for Pokeballs.

I mean Pokeradar for example was a huge gamelay, same for Pokemon following you so I can understand they don't always have enough time or they don't want to add it but Pokeball mechanics really??? Except glitchy Heavy Ball most of them are easy to code.

that is true i was to get a Fargas Ball in Gen 7 too. I do not know why some balls were added to gen 4 but then removed later on during the Gens it does not make any sense

Park Ball was not really a Pokeball at first as you can't hack it in DPPt, it was just a PalPark animation.

DreamBall was exclusive to DreamWorld and DreamRadar.

SportsBall was exclusive to Bug Contest.

Safari Ball is the problematic one as it appears in Safari of Gen1, 3, 4 and Great Marsh.

If Let's Go Safari is like a PalPark for Pokemon Go they should at least use the ParkBall or the Safari Ball.

it is a shame that nintendo will not release a Safari ball in Let's go Pikachu/Eevee i would of have loved a ball like that to be in Pokemon LGPE (short for Let's Go Pikachu/Evee)

It's more a GF decision than a Nintendo one. There must be a reason for its disappear since gen4  but I don't know it.

I was really happy to get Fargas Ball in gen 7 but then 4 official Pokeballs are still missing and some combo are still unavaible like MoonBall Skitty.

Yeah I know, just pointing it out :)

Yeah, some of those Pokemon are too late for me. I totally missed the Surfing Pikachu community event.

Still, we're not sure if the PGo moves actually get carried over. I think the Treehouse presentation showed a 1CP Pinsir being caught?
I think minimum CP in PGo is 10, so as a result, I don't know what to think of it :/

That's good to hear! A few of the Legendary birds (and Japan/Asia exclusives) I'll probably transfer from my main,
and everything else can come from you and Jase (he's playing another alt account for us right now)

Tho I'm wondering how the OT trainer system would work.
The demonstration showed we're using a standard ball from our inventory,
so I'm wondering if the ball information and level information gets updated, as tho we are catching a wild Pokemon. (so OT is us)

    It was a 10CP Hitmonlee that became a lv1.

I think moves will be carry over.

For the OT it can be like PalPark or the game could just generate a wild Pokemon.

I don't think it can be seen like this because the 50$ aren't for the Mew. And the Poké Ball Plus would most likely still cost 50$ with or without the Mew. What bothers me more is that I can see some Third-party sellers getting their hands on this. But it really depends how big the demand is. That's the biggest question in my opinion btw... will Let's Go be a success?

It's already sold out in many sellers, I think it'll challenge BOTW, even if harcore players are not over hyped.

I created a second account to obtain Mew. XD
BTW I've been meaning to ask you regarding that.

Gonna need help for Go region exclusives.
I'm aiming to collect all 151 in Go, to be transferred over.

Expensive* (it's a different word. I kept getting confused when you used expansive ;D )

I agree, it is a supremely expensive event, if you didn't originally plan to buy one. (ignoring purchasing old events from the internet)

Might not be the most expensive one. The elusive unannounced shiny Jirachi that mirrored the Pokemon Center one was a nightmare to get to.
Plus some events in Japan require traveling (their transport isn't exactly cheap, especially if its far away) or buying stuff (like Pokescraps), so collecting those are also a pain.

Sorry, I'm not english-native I do sometimes errors. Most of the time I'm correcting myself after.

The real challenge will be to collect all exclusives moves in PGO all of them are time limited and can even be usefull in battle like Quick Attack Staryu/Porygon.

Granted, it could be an oversight that they didn't block it, since not everyone has access to it,
but then again, I'm pretty sure playing with a Magikarp is pretty risky business, so that evens it out?
Additionally, players should always pay attention to the ball and ball animation.
Along that line, there aren't that many event Magikarp in Gen 7.

Gyarados Z-Bounce was really strong in VGC 2017.

Found more "demo shinies" in my free time.

For some reason a few of my caught Pokemon got corrupted nicknames, including the Rattata above. I just unchecked the nickname value in PKHeX before extracting.

    016 - ポッポ - 63E0.pk1

    019 - コラッタ - 2A56.pk1

I encountered that problem too when I caught more than 10 Pokemon.

It's a corruption of nicknames in the PC due to technical limitations (the one they mentionned in USUM).

Note that you can transfer you Girafarig datas as I did for other Pokemon I uploaded here but I'll surely not remain shiny.

Also if you have time maybe you can help me to find how to catch trainers Pokemon we need the RAM offset location of battle.

what's the problem with this, I'm curious? :3 (I feel like I'm missing certain backstory here)

The Junior Champion won thanks to the Event Bounce Magikarp last year (distributed for Singapour New Year at very limited quantity), the high number of hacked Pokemon used during it, the fact they restrict accesses to the event and other stuffs like that.

    How fair is that?

People buy stuff cause they like it.

Not only: by mimicry most of the time, to get an advantage (hello Mew) or because they were forced to.

I'll repeat myself but the real problem is GF/Nintendo politics. I really don't understand their hipocrisy even during Pokemon Worlds!!!

  15. It looks like Pokemon Let's Go has a weird way with underleved.

I saw lv3 Metapod in Viridian Forest during Masuda demo.

But also lv1 Hitmonlee at Go Safari (level depends on the CP of the Pokemon transfered).

And finally a new gameplay that changes the level of wild Pokemon.

    I'm really worried about.

  16. I think it's a really good question.

Do paying for genning Pokemon especially with the audience of the franchise is something disgusting and revolting.

While distrib (if Pokemon are 100% legal) can be a good thing.

Some Pokemon are definitively too rare, not counting shinies.

Another disgusting pratice is official paying event like the LGPE Mew one.

Because yeah at first the real problem is Nintendo/GF politics about event pokemon.
