<p><p><p><p><p><p>Like Wraith said, they're additions. The original starters are quite usable actually (some of which may be better off not mega-evolving!) <p><p><p><p><p><p>I can see why it bothers you, but the old starters are still there. Personally, I just am indifferent. I have things I like and dislike about them. Trust me I was REALLY angry with the whole mega-evolutions thing when it came out, and still am, as I would just like standard evolutions. But it adds a mechanic to it which changes gameplay (more than we realize) and then some... Plus, aside from Blastoise, they're not painfully different.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
