1) Sure the evolutions should be easy to implement since my tool already has the database on all evolutions.

2) I have thought of plans for trainer cards. My main idea is a rename trainer option where it would rename the trainer as well as the OT Trainer of every Pokemon caught by that trainer across all loaded saves. I probably won't add changing ID's though. Gender I can easily add as a changeable option. And as for trades I actually haven't found the location of that value yet hehe. I'll look into it but I could enable an option to always increment the trades count when using the tool.

3) Sure I guess I'll disable it for Safari Balls entirely. I'm gonna make it so you can buy Safari Balls at the in-tool Mart anyway for customizability meaning you can always replace them later. Would you still like a confirmation disabler for the Master and Luxury Balls?

Honestly, I never use them anymore. I only keep master balls around for shinnies like Graveler or possible roamers, etc. I was going to breed all my Safari Zone Pokemon in my save but I just decided to change the balls. Breeding in FR/LG is the worst thing ever. Also, this morning when I typed that. I didn't realize for the trainer card stickers in FR/LG, you don't have to breed 300 eggs, just hatch them. So I'm going to breed 300 eggs in Emerald, get them close to hatching and then use your wonderful tool to just import them to Fire Red and hatch them.

Man, re-naming all my OT's definitely would helped me in the past. I'm remaking my gen 3 living dex because It probably had a dozen different OT's and hacked Pokemon and Pokemon in just about any ball and it just looked cluttered and terrible. I want my living dexes to be in Pokeballs from now on with the OT: HaxAras to display how much work I put into them.

As for the evolutions, that would be incredibly helpful. I had to use A-save to evolve my Swablu because I didn't want to keep leveling it up and potential messing with any moves it might learn. (Passing up a move because it evolved too late or something like that)

Yep I'm aware of this, but i've cloned with / because of trigger's PC in not a wanted way. I mean it was not something wanted, and if Trigger's PC wants to be legit at 100%, just want to tell that i was able to do a clone

That always ends with being up to the user. You can clone by copying save files and save editors or Emerald version, etc. People who want to clone will always have a way. Cloning with Triggers tool just seems to be an unintentional accident and if you're against cloning, could easily release them.

Edit: I found another problem. Not with the tool but with the games themselves. I imported a False Swipe Swablu egg into a Fire Red save I'm working on. But every time it tries to evolve, it stops mid-evo. Just like Gloom and Golbat do every time you try to evolve them. Would it be possible to add an "Evolve" feature not only for trade and item Pokemon, but regular Pokemon that are currently able to evolve? At least for Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Edit 2: Something I've been wondering. Is the tool able to edit the trainer card? For legitimacy reasons, it would be nice to add +1 or +2 for trades to the trainer cards.

I remember reading in the first post that eventually, learning moves from items will be a thing. Does that include re-learning moves using Heart Scales? I'm playing a lot of my saves on VBA now because that speed up button is the best thing ever and I know gen 3 like the back of my hand. But I keep accidentally deleting moves.

Edit 3: I decided to change the Pokeballs of some Safari Zone Pokemon on my current Fire Red save using Triggers PC. Not gonan lie the "XXXX is in a rare ball, would you like to change it?" message gets annoying after a few times. Would be cool to turn it off. Another thing I found. The tool seems to auto select my Emerald save and isn't consuming the balls. It's been at 8 the entire time. I selected Fire Red once but I didn't check how many I had so I don't know it it consumed that one.

If it's fixed, it'd be quite awesome !

But I did a "bad" thing but I don't know even how : I was able to clone with Trigger's PC. I've wanted to check a Shiny on another game so I took the Nidoqueen Shiny from save 1 to the save 2, and played save 2 with Trigger's PC. I saw that the Shiny was not Shiny anymore in the game (emeraude+ once again) and so i closed the emulator and go back to Trigger's PC and i said "no" to reload saves. And tada. the Nidoqueen were in both games.

You can also just copy your save file to clone Pokemon if you're into that kind of thing.

For Ex. I loaded up the testers only versions of Triggers PC and loaded in a copy of my Spanish Ruby save so I could remove all the Pokemon. Then I just saved it and uploaded the empty (of Pokemon) save to another part of the forums. I just deleted the cloned save and re-opened the regular copy I've been using and my Pokemon were fine.

You've no idea of my hype when I saw the Shiny icons haha !

Thank you so much ! This is an incredible work o/

Edit : found a more classic bug. I wanted to try with a save that was not working before. Forced the Emerald game, everything loads fine. Except THIS :

b5aaebf5eb.png

Not important I think, because it works so much better

Edit : Fix'd by moving pokemon, so there's no problem of course ! o/

One way you can either re-create them or delete them is using the A-save editor. They show up in that tool as well and can be easily deleted.

Yay or nay, and would you be against me hyperlinking you?

Hell yeah man! If you want to. That's cool as hell. With a lot of projects like this, there's not much of anything I can do to help because I can't really edit Rom data or program or any of that. I'm just glad to be able to help and being in a list of contributors/helpers is awesome!

Any Pokemon that was transfered to any GameCube game including Pokemon Box (optionally and back to another game) would have been permenantly affected. Every other Pokemon wouldn't have saved the difference and it only would have been visual.

Well, that helps a lot. All the Pokemon Box saves I've been messing with have been copies. A few Pokemon came from Colosseum saves and a very small number may have made it to Colosseum and back so it shouldn't be a problem for me. Good thing we found that relatively early.

Huh... Apparently this is a bug with my program with all GBA games and Pokemon Box. It's probably been there since the beginning. Good catch.

Edit: FOUND IT. I was reading bit 46 instead of bit 6... -_-

I was just going through each one of the status pages of every Pokemon to see if anything was off.

Did it modify the PP of all Pokemon that went through the tool? Will it fix them if you put them through the tool again?

As in with playing it in game?

I imported all those Twitch Plays Pokemon, Pokemon and they all saved on Box. I loaded the save up on actual hardware and couldn't find any obvious flaws. All the Pokemon missing abilities were already missing them in the Twitch save.

The only flaw I noticed before was one of my PCNY Tropius' OT got messed up. Along with all those other problems shown in the saves and screenshots I posted/sent you. But those seem to have been fixed so bravo and thanks for all the hard work.

I'll be careful and observant in the future when using your tool with box and report back any findings.

I didn't edit anything in it. I backed it up directly from the cart. Here's the save:

All that does for me is throw up an Unhandled Exception.

I opened your save in A-save and the items are really messed up. I saw a lot of "None x99" and every time I'd try to open it in Triggers Tool, it would say that you had an insane amount of money. Even after I repeatedly edited it and set it to 0. I wonder if it's because Action Replay/Gameshark or some other cheats were used.

9. Moved Pokemon from a copy of a Pokemon Box save to a Twitch Plays Pokemon Emerald save. All the OT's are fine and as far as I know, that's all that got messed up last time.

I moved the Twitch Plays Pokemon, Pokemon to Pokemon Box and I'll be writing the save now to see if it works. Video will be posted or edited in.

Edit: I'm a moron for using a Twitch save. Half the Pokemon don't have abilities.

Pokemon Box seems to be saving alright, as far as I can tell.

Would you mind sharing that save with me so I can inspect it. This is probably caused by the game code being zero. Have you ever used an editor on your save beforehand? If so it's possible it may have set the security key to zero which is in place of the game code that is normally on Ruby and Sapphire. (The game code for Ruby and Sapphire is zero). If this problem becomes more wide spread I can create a force game type option to help avoid it.

I had the same problem with an Emerald version. I just told the program it was Ruby and it worked fine after that.

Hey HaxAras. Just a heads up the newest Pokemon Box Test version is up. No need to rush into testing it since you've already done so much for me. :)

Also make sure you read the latest changelog. There were some issues with Loading Pokemon Box previously and some of the Pokemon might have minor or major flaws in them because of it. The new Non-testers version fixes this as well.

I noticed one my my PCNY Tropius had a screwed up name. I downloaded the Pokemon Box save from the internet somewhere about a year ago. So I have to actually load it up on the actual game. Hopefully that's where the messed up name came from.

I'll probably get to it in a couple hours at the time of typing this. My brother went off to the mountains with the last of my rum so I have nothing else to do after I take a shower. I need to test the unmodified Pokemon Box save anyway.

The purpose is to have a collection of every item in the game on Trigger's PC. (This also includes HMs and Battle CDs.) Since I sort of consider copying key items to not be a legit method, and I sort of don't see a point for it other than fossils, and even then there's not much point to trading fossils since you can always hatch one on the desired game. I decided not to implement sending them to other games. (Do FRLG Fossils even work on Emerald or wice versa). If there is a demand for trading key items I'll certainly consider adding it. On a separate note I've considered adding a feature to give both bikes to players on RSE since it's such a pain switch them. Maybe you can buy them in Trigger's PC for $1,000,000, hehe.

I've thought about hacking them in, in the past. I never used Action Replay for it in Emerald because it always messed up my items. I'd only see myself using it for fossils and if I really wanted to, I'd just use a save editor to 1 of each of the fossil Pokemon at the set level.

14. This makes me wonder if it will work with Pokemon Blue Sea. I loved that terrible rom hack and I wish my Pokemon never got deleted.

What is the purpose of the key items/ Add to collection feature? I thought at first I could clone my fossils or send them to different games but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Could somebody please elaborate on this increased shiny rate rom?

I'm looking at the data for the Pokemon Box save and I'm realizing it's a little more complicated than I thought and it just happens to be coincidence that it's loading well. Unfortunately I'm mentally drained today from all the work so I'll start looking into getting it working tomorrow and the day after that.

Same here. I wasn't sure how much longer I could mess with this. I've been working on projects all morning and afternoon. Time for a break. Hopefully we can figure it out soon.

What will happen: Replacing a shadow with any Pokemon will remove all traces of the shadow. Saving with the shadow Present will destroy all data about the shadow because my program turns the shadow into what it sees as an invalid Pokemon. And for making sure shadows don't pop up I'll try to do more heavy scrubbing to make sure a Pokemon is a shadow. Can you send me some saves with the shadows so I can test removing them? Also, that's the case for that other image at the top of this page right? Those were loaded there?

Yeah, It was like that when I loaded the save. Good thing you're working on getting rid of those. The Pokemon didn't get saved and some bad eggs were created on Box. New video soon.

17. trigger_death said:
I know why it's sending Pokemon to the wrong box and can fix that. The blank wallpapers is because I didn't write code to support the extra Pokemon Box Wallpapers yet. I'll probably just replaced them with the simple theme until I can make replicas. As for the Invalid Pokemon what did you do before it happened?

For the first time ever, I can say I didn't do anything and be telling the truth. Those Pokemon were just there when I loaded up the save.

I think I know what they are though. I've seen the same thing with the A-save editor. Pokemon that have been migrated leave behind those 'shadows' on your save. I was able to reverse-engineer some Pokemon that had been migrated from my Japanese Ruby before it was sold to me in 2012! I think if Pokemon Box saves Pokemon in the same way as the GBA games, it probably leaves some of the data behind after the game is saved. Until it's replaced I'm guessing.

Also, I edited in a video to my previous post in case you hadn't noticed.

What I'm going to do is this.

1: Save some Pokemon over the shadows and then move them away with your tool to see if they remain.

2: To test my theory. I'll remove a few Pokemon from the Box save and save it and then load it up in your too to see if shadows were created.

18. trigger_death said:
It may be possible that you need to install the .NET Framework 4.5 if you don't have it. Just a guess but I'll see if I can figure anything else out.

I found out and just recorded a video showing it.

It's sending the Pokemon to Box, it's just sending them to the wrong boxes.

Edit: Video showing the Pokemon being placed into the wrong boxes.

HaxAras I have a vital mission for you. Pokemon Box saving works now! It reads from the memory card fine and doesn't report any problems however... I need to test to make sure the Pokemon are still safe in sound. If it's not too much trouble would you be willing to use the test version in the downloads section and follow the given instructions to see if everything works?

I found 3 problems so far.

WkjxSCt.png

I'm using a copy of my Colosseum save and trying to send the Pokemon directly to Box and they seem to vanish. At least, they're not appearing in the box that I send them to.

I dunno what could be causing it, but I can't get the program to even run. After double clicking the icon, Windows acts like it's loading it but no window pops up. Checking Task Manager, I see a process that Windows won't kill when I tell it to, forcing a restart. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit if that helps.

I was having that same problem. I think I had to delete and re-download the program. If you've already used it, I suggest just saving anything in the "gen 3" folder.

vRUereG.png

I think I found a spelling error with the Quiet nature (Unless it's spelled differently around the world)

Another change that I think would be amazing.

When you highlight all Pokemon and click send to: if it would keep the Pokemon in the same box positions they were in before. When making a living dex and transferring Pokemon between games, it would save a lot of time not having to re-organize them.

21. trigger_death said:
Sounds like an excellent idea. And that's nonsense, I love any and all requests. ^_^

You not only saved me a ton of time I would have spent identifying Pokemon Box saves, but I just discovered the holy grail of gen 3 event Pokemon (For me anyway, one of them.) 2 1/2 boxes of PCNY Pokemon stored in an old Pokemon Box save I downloaded from somewhere!
