Does it work like a regular wondercard? 'Cause hex editing isn't my thing. How does one go about getting those un-released secret base decorations? I always want to make 100%, everything unlocked save files. It's the reason I tracked down the Regi Doll E-reader card. I think I already injected Lucario into my Platinum save. Are you using an emulator? I'm having an impossible time tracking down actual Korean carts for my collection. I think that sounds like a good idea. More people will likely notice the project if that's the case.

Is there not a way to take a save that Toxicorak will appear and make a backup of it?

I second this. I was going to ask somebody with the ability to hook me up on a DP/P save so I could catch my own with my OT. But I don't have CFW until 8/31.

That's the great marsh one? I can start hunting that if you'd be willing to trade for your level 5 Jellicent.

So do Japanese and Korean games trade together fine? Cause now I would like to know what happens if you send an English Pokemon to a Korean save. Then trade the English Pokemon to the Japanese save and the Japanese mon to the English save and what happens when it evolves. Outside of doing the coin case glitch in an English game, you could get the events in an English game and trade them to a Korean save. Then just release the glitched name mon from the English save.

I'll have to find a gen 1 save online. I don't currently have any gen 1 carts. Just a Silver cart. I really can't wait for these gen 2 VC games to be released. It will put to bed so many questions.

That's sorta how it works in gen 3. When you trade an English Wartortle to a Japanese Fire Red for example, it will be named WARTOR. And if it evolves, it will keep it's name. Same with Japanese mons on an English game and probably any language. I never tested with the others (I could). If you migrate a non-native Pokemon, it's name will be treated as a nickname. So a French Articuno will be named ARTOKODIN when it goes through bank. I migrated the in-game-trade Farfetch'd named CH'DING to gen 4/5/6/7 using a Japanese save for gens 3-4 and it's nickname was preserved, despite being shortened in gen 3. I never tested with a Pokemon like Wartortle in a Japanese save though. The point of all this is: This is in gen 3 where you can trade between all the languages and they didn't really fix it properly until gen 4. Where Korean games can't trade with the others, as I was told. So I highly doubt something as far back as gen 2 could work properly. It would just create an interesting nightmare. (Also, mind sending me a Korean gen 2 PKM? I'm curious about what happens if I evolve it and if I migrate it using bank/if I even can and what happens if I trade it to gen 1if it's a gen 1 mon, etc. Lots of experiments and tests to run.)

I asked a friend to do that a while back. Using my English and Japanese Soul Silver saves. To just have them trade with eachother. But I was never able to connect to the fan made wifi servers.

Of course it is. I was going to unlock every other course legitimately and then use Action Replay or something to unlock that course on my save files when I've done that. But I'm not that close to unlocking all the others yet.

Anything in particular? I have a complete White save as well. I could import some Pokemon and we could try to knock out gen 5 together.

You keep mentioning which ones you have (like the level 5 Jellicent) but it doesn't help much if you're not contributing it. It just gets confusing. I'm mostly trying to work on the gen 3 collection. I might do gen 4-5 later, when I get my 3DS back. I just need to know which ones we have. I have the gen 4 Medichaim to contribute, I just need to trade it to my R4 later tonight probably. Do you know off the top of your head which Pokewalker course has the Octillery? I could start working on that. There's a level 30 Piloswine friend safari in gen 6 which could lead to an under-leveled Mamoswine as well. I read online that people weren't able to trade Mamoswine because of it's level.

Are you making a contribution or just talking about what you have? Which Pokewalker course?

I found out you can use a 20$ GameCube/Wii Action Replay and a generic SD reader memory card. The GameCube AR will load up the data off the SD card if it's in the B slot. Change the nature and you change the PID. You don't need to modify the PID to change the ball. So you could SR for a nature you want and switch to the ball you want later. Up to you obviously.

I was editing my previous post when you replied. Here's the file containing what's listed in the quote above. Under-Leveled Pokemon.7z Edit I found mention of underleveled Pokemon while google searching. One I don't currently see on the list is the apparent under-leveled Hydreigon from XY's victory road that falls from the ceiling. Here are my re-worded notes and copied messages from other people.

I can't hex edit or mess with emulators. I suck at match and I'm a hardware collector. I have a lot of the gen 3 Pokemon in the list. There's also a level 35 Medichaim west of Snowpoint in Diamond/Pearl. I obtained a few and traded 2 for the in game trade Haunter since it's technically lowered leveled than you should be able to get it. I have the Haunter and Gengar. All my contributions will have the OT: HaxAras though. I have the level 20 Gengar from FR/LG but it's in gen 7 with my level 7 Pidgeotto. I'll dump the Medicham, and in game trade Haunter/Gengar later as well.

The YouTube let's player Chuggaconroy did a video where he was talking about the Pokemon Platinum wifi mini-game rooms and supposedly there was a Mew room. I remember using them once and they're mentioned in the Platinum manual. Does anybody know if these were downloaded to your save temporarily (similar to those gen 5 events) or if they're physical locations in the game you can actually enter somehow? I know the fan made wiif servers are a thing but I've had no luck connecting to them and I don't know if the wifi rooms would work.

I no longer have any to test but I seem to remember something similar of the sort. Something about the data being handled differently and you couldn't really trade between then. I might have tried with English and Japanese gen 1 games back in the day.

What's the point of undertaking the ribbon master journey if you're just going to hack your Pokemon? I got lucky and got a Bold Suicune in 1 attempt. You can get a time flute before you encounter it. So you can save before the battle, use the time flute to purify it and check it's nature. If that's too much work for you, you probably shouldn't even bother with a ribbon master because it's a TON of work. PKHeX or the Colosseum/XD: Save editor would work best if you want to edit your Colosseum Suicune. It does make a difference which game you do it on. The battle tower in Ruby/Sapphire is much easier than Emerald. You also need a game with a working internal battery if you intend to blend your own Pokeblocks. But if you're fine with cheating, might as well give yourself max contest stats. As long as it's not so overly-hacked that the terrible GameFreak legitimacy checkers don't catch it, you should have no trouble migrating it to the current gen games. You're going to need to complete Colosseum to trade your Suicune over to Ruby/Sapphire and a GameCube to GBA cable. (Unless you're doing this on emulators. Then just use Triggers PC to move it) You'll need a complete gen 4 save to migrate from gen 3. Again, unless you're using an R4 or have CFW or whatever. Lately I've been using PKHeX to inject Pokemon into my R4 saves and trading them over to my legit carts to migrate them because migrating from gen 3-4 sucks. You'll need a complete gen 5 save to migrate from gen 4 and to migrate to gen 6. You're going to need 2 complete gen 6 saves. X or Y and OR or AS. And a complete gen 7 save. Your ribbon master doesn't need a good nature or IV's to complete the journey. As you can see with my E-reader Scizor. My Suicune below. Good luck on your journey. As I said, it's a TON of work. But it's all worth it in the end.

Here is my Japanese Pokemon Soul Silver save with all of the event Pokewalker Pokemon. They're all 100% legit. I caught them all myself using my Japanese Pokewalker (R.I.P). I can't get anymore because it went through the washing machine earlier this year and I've been too afraid to lose my English ones and sidetracked to buy another Japanese one. JpSoulSilverPokeWalkers.sav Edit: I was using my English Pokewalkers and sending Pokemon to my Japanese Soul Silver so there might be non-event courses in there. When I get back into it, I'm going to work on unlocking every course and then just working my way down the list and getting a complete personal set. This box, the first 2 Pokemon are marked as illegal. Which is BS. I obtained these Pokemon myself and PKHeX lists a legit move as illegal. Looks like the Pokewalker legality checker isn't quite there yet?

I have no idea what you're talking about. I hate being serious. I'm only serious when I have to be. My goal here is to to be an asset where possible. Being a videogame collector puts me in a somewhat unique position. I have access to a ton of stuff most people don't care to own or can't track down. I like to be the guy who can get stuff nobody else can. Right now I'm working on beating Colosseum in German so I can get the un-released Colosseum Pikachu and Agate Celebi in German and the second set of German E-reader mons using official hardware.
-
I've never played the game and I don't own it either. What do their met locations look like in-game? I'm curious what their met locations will look like when we get them as PK4's. And does anybody have the save file in other languages? Do they have set natures and IV's?
