I checked all the past tournaments listed on the PGL, and none of them had prizes like this, so it is unprecedented.

    Well, I've asked someone who knows people who will be going to each countries' qualifier, so hopefully they'll be able to find out.

    Since apparently players of any language of game (at least European language) can enter any regional qualifier, are these Larvitar distributed only to the local language of game, or all languages?

    On the Japanese Gen IV page, the Sunday Tropius has its distribution listed as "02.27.2007-02.14.2007", meaning that it would finish before it even started. According to the archived announcement on Pokémon.co.jp, the distribution was from February 3 to 12.
