"but that disturbs the theory about keeping their own type"
I give up ):
-
The legends do reappear if you knock them out and rebattle the elite4.
Raikou and Entei stats are determined when they flee from the burnt tower, while suicune is a regular stationary legendary in front of which you can save and softreset (which is at the cliff next to bills house in Kanto for Suicune).
The latis should be triggered by your chat with steven stone, but I didn't check this and just assume it
-
You can stop enforcing your idea now. A suggestion is a suggestion. You already said a few times what you think it might be according to you.
They got the elements when Ho-oh revived them. This is not a suggestion. I'm trying to point out that they couldn't have been of those types before.
I don't care if someone thinks they were rattatas or whatever, as long as it's not of the few possibilities we can actually exclude by reasoning.
-
I always thought that they were Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon. It marks with they types (ELECTR, WATER, FIRE).
Read some posts like number 218.
-
They were always the beasts.
They were the original eeveelutions.
These 2 don't make sense.
Lightning struck the tower, it burned and the fire was then put out by heavy rainfall.
3 Pokemon died.
Ho-oh revived them and EMBODIED THEM WITH THE ELEMENTS OF THE 3 EVENTS that destroyed the tower.
-So you see, they couldn't have been Electric, Fire and Water typed already before. Considering that, Normal is the only logical type they could have been. Anyone thinking otherwise is ignoring the few facts we have.
Now think about it.
Eevee's can evolve into 3 different species when they are exposed to elemental stones (of thunder, fire and water).
Whatever the beasts were before, it is a fact they were given an overdose of elemental power from Ho-oh and became what they are.
It makes perfect sense that they were 3 Eevees.
-
Evolution of an old pokemon doesn't make any sense to me.
It's going to be the main pokemon of the movie not something like Electivire...
I still don't see any similarity to Lucario so I'm wondering why people think about it when they saw it.
Maybe the process goes like this:
1. what are the options: legendary or not
2. discard thoughts about being totally new as there isn't anything to continue thinking about that way .
3. wait! only legendaries star in movies.
3.a Correction!: well there was Lucario...
4. Stop thinking
5. post on the internet: MAYBE ITS LUCARIO EVOLUTION
Btw:
see those hair bits that stand out of the "mane"?
They are all the same design. The first three are perfectly similar.
That's why the first one is not an ear (like in the red fanart) and why the second one is not a different part either (like in another fanart). Same goes for making a connection between one of those and mightyenas ears...
the 4 is the most WTF in that picture. It's not even pointing at Poochyenas tail but the leg and then the end of the mane or whatever that is (it originates form the head.)
-
IT IS A DAMN BIDOOF EVOLUTION!
not
1. Everyone who is so fascinated by the Sandslash comparison, THINK, the main thing on sandslash are his slashing claws. Z has small claws. Sandscratch? LOL <.<
2. MightYENA is a hyena. It is a bit jumpy to assume it will evolve and become a werewolf... I know Remoraid evolves into Octillery
3. ITZ A LUCARIO1! compare them. lucario has got no claws, while Z has no ears. the body structure is totally different, except the fact they're both bipedal...
I'm not gonna even say anything about Shaymin, this is ridiculous.
My guess is, that this Pokemon is not just a new legendary Pokemon, but also finally the first one of the Fighting type.
-
My theory is that in future Pokémon generations, they'll introduce the 3 Pokémon that were to become what is known today as Entei, Raikou and Suicune. I really don't think 3 Eevees became the 3 legendary dogs.
They would have released those 3 pokemon long ago if it was like that, not wait 3 generations lol.
BTW: if you don't agree that lions and tigers are cats, call them beasts at least, because legendary dogs is WTF.. <,<
They were Eevee's, because of the following reasons.
-Eevee's are common as pets in Ecruteak city.
-The killed pokemon were resurrected by Ho-oh, who also embodied them with the elements of the events that destroyed the tower, lightning, burning and rain. Remember that Eevee's already evolve naturally when they get in contact with elemental stones. What Ho-oh did was like giving them an overdose of elemental evolution xDD
-The 3 Sages "protectors of the Tin Tower" (
) each own a Noctowl and one of the original 3 eeveelutions. -
Actually, no, Synchronize does NOT work on legendary Pokemon.
What? I'm sure I used it on legends in the past o_O
-
The copycat girl has a Banette in her room, which is the only Pokemon that's not a real doll.
No clue where the Bulbasaur is used.
@Pedro250:
You can't. The only way is trading to DPt and doing it there.
-
That's dumb of GF....
We can SR Suicune easily when it's at the last spot, but can't for Raikou and Entei )=
Well if you wanted to softreset for the other 2 you would have to trade yourself a masterball before setting them free in the burnt tower, chase it (it becomes very easy after some training to find them) throw the MB, check the stats and repeat...
Though this only allows you get only 1 either Raikou or Entei..... and of course you still can't synchronize their natures like for Suicune <,<
They should have made it like in FRLG. For you example choose Chikorita as your starter, Entei would play Suicunes role and run too Kanto for the final battle, while Raikou and Suicune would be runners.
Squirtle->Raikou
So if you'd choose Cyndaquil it would be exactly like it is in the actual games now.
-
Where do you get a firestone and is there gonna be a pokesav for HGSS?
You get 1 Fire stone for showing Bill's Grandpa a Vulpix/Growlithe (the one that appears in your version).
He is in Kanto in Bill's original house at the end of Route 25 (north of Cerulean city). But he'll want to see some other pokes first (Lickitung->everstone, Staryu->water stone, Pichu->thunder stone,Oddish->leaf stone...don't remember the order)
Another way to get fire stones (repeatable) is by getting Schoolboy Alans number. He calls you when he finds a Fire stone.
I remember he is the first trainer west from where Sudowoodo was (Route 36)
The only other person there is a Psychic, so....
There are of course also trainers who give out the other stones.
The girl south of the Daycare gives you leaf stones I think
and the fisher west of Mahagony water stones (Route 42)
Forgot about Thunderstone
You can't buy evolutionary stones anywhere since RBY (except FRLG obviously)
Apart from Dialga, Palkia and Giratina being able to learn new moves... which other pokemon get to learn new moves they previously couldn't in the other games? Can you list them (If there's a lot, sorry because it'll be a pain in the neck)There are almost none.
Dig for Hippopotas
Lugia and Ho-oh get Weatherball
Lugia can learn Dragon Rush while Ho-oh gets BRAVE BIRD =D
Kyogre got Muddy water and Aqua Ring
Groudon, Lava Plume and Hammer Arm
And Rayquaza, Hyper Voice and Air Slash
Dialga, Power Gem and Metal Burst (O:)
Palkia, Power Gem and Hydro Pump
Giratina, Shadow Sneak and Destiny Bond
But the real changes are not in their movesets.
Like every fifth Pokemon got a new Egg move!
Some of the more interesting:
Squirtle - Water Spout
Nidoran M - Head Smash
Diglett - Reversal
Growlithe - Morning Sun
Geodude - Curse
Ponyta - Morning Sun
FARFETCH'D - LEAF BLADE YES!! NOW JUST EVOLVE XDd
Shellder - Rock Blast (note it's ability Skill Link)
Dratini - Extremespeed (no need for soft reseting at the Dragons Den)
Cyndaquil - Extrasensory
Totodile - Aqua Jet O:
Cleffa - Aromatherapy
Togepi - Extrasensory (if your Egg hatched you already know that one )
Wooper - Recover
Murkrow - Brave Bird =DD
Misdreavus - Nasty Plot O:
QWILFISH - AQUA JET <3<3<3
Teddiursa - Belly Drum
Phanpy - Head Smash

Shinx <3<3<3<3 - Night Slash
Munchlax - Counter
Mime Jr. - Nasty Plot
I have been thinking...The Arceus event that triggered the Platinum library creation story was supposed to be activated with only the movie one. I proved that wrong...
My question is: Can the Arceus in HG/SS be other than the movie like in the Platinum?
Works with Hall of Origin Arceus.
Does anyone know where the part is for the Power Plant? I know in the old games it was in the water, but the gym has changed. Here are the things I did, People are saying its a glitch or something:
- went to the power plant after visiting running man in Lavender town, Phone call happens telling me to goto the Gym.
- I confronted the rocket, chased him to the bridge, and beat him
- Went to the Cape and found misty
- beat Misty, still don't have a part
- Went BACK To lavender town, man is still running, then went back to the power plant, and nothing.
This was pretty confusing to me too...
The machine part is in the gym but they made it hidden even for the Item finder.
It's in the back on the left side, in the rescue rings.
i am playing soulsilver and i cant get the nat. dex. i currently have all the badges and beat the E4 2 times. ive beaten the s.s.anne thing finding the little girl, how can i get the nat dex? or is there a way to make a action replay code that can get me the nat dex cause i wanna be able to get groudon and continue on.someone please lemme know how
P.S.(I have the regular Dex maxxed thanks to A.R.)
^ then again could that possibly have messed something up?
You get the national dex before you enter the S.S.Anne, so you already have it o_O
-
could someone get me pkm files for HG kyoger lv.1 palkia lv.1 dialga all i want is pkm files
Kyogre caught on my heartgold attached.
I needed a SS Groudon to get the Green Orb from Oak, but I just copied my Kyogre.pkm and changed it into a Groudon, its attacks on 50, changed so its from Silver(Johto) and it worked.

Who's to say they were even Candid pokemon in the first place? Who's to say they weren't just regular dogs? Additionally, who's to say they weren't some random pokemon? Like Raikou being a Pikachu, Entei being a houndour, and suicune being some random water type? After all, it says they were given the forms of the three beasts, so it's somewhat plausible that they could've just been some random pokemon, no?
It's also plausible that they were of the Normal type before, as it was Ho-oh who embodied them with the elements of lightning, flames and rain when giving them the new forms. There wouldn't be any point in that if they were already of those types.
-
Corocoro has confirmed rayquaza to be at lv 50
Apricorns and pokeballs from them
battle frontier west of olivine
bug catching
west of cianwood safari zone
egg sidequest returns- not known if still togepi
what do you guys think!!
What do you mean with, more info?
The lie that we can grow Apricorns in a bag?
Those info sux. Nothing really new or unexpected...

I'm not saying that an Eevee struck by lighting will evolve into Raikou without Ho-oh doing it's "magic".
But you have to admit that the eeveelutions are surprisingly similar to the beasts.
Well maybe theres some other explanation how 3 Eevees got into the tower, but it's definitely not impossible.
I hope they'll give us some hints in HGSS
So Rattata is the logical conclusion considering the place, and Eevees are, considering the similarities between the eeveelutions and the beasts.
-
Hm, damn Klaat I forgot about the Kimono girls... you bring up very good points, it's just how Eevee do not inhabit the tower that bothers me, how would they be in their? Did they just randomly decide to come in? I mean, the reaction theory makes sense, but it's just the question on why the Eevee's would be in there at the moment.
Well the only thing I come up with is that 3 Sages were once protectors of the Brass Tower and used an Eevee each...
I don't get it tough how the legends having been Rattatas is less speculation and more logical than the Eevee theory, which is what DanteKoriyu is pointing out.
Anything about this is speculation, especially since this thread is about just that. Searching for the last small hints and speculating.
How much the assumed time for domestication of dogs in the real world takes, tells us that there were not 3 Eevees in the Brass tower 150 years ago?
o_o
-
I agree with you. I don't want to be repetitive, but it's the only logical explanation. Here's a previous post of mine, and I remember someone linking to the plot of the episode and showing the being reincarnated where they resembled Ratatta.
It's not the only logical explanation O: (Besides it also sounding a bit crap, 3 Rattata LOL)
Eevee can evolve into stronger elemental evolutions of it, when exposed to the 3 main elemental stones (Water/Thunder/Fire Stone) (which happen to be the beasts types, ANY other stones don't work).
Ho-oh resurrected the 3 dead Pokemon and embodied them with elements from the 3 events that caused the incident: Heavy rain, Lightning strike and flames.
If they were Eevees, this could have triggered like an overdose exposure to the evolution inducing elements needed.
Btw, Eevees are rather popular in Ecruteak city, being the home of the Kimono girls, and considering the Tin tower has 3 protectors
which own, guess what, one original eeveelution each.
-
Klaatu, once again, not saying it won't happen, but I'm still kinda playing Devil's Advocate here.
Your Dex theory is still based on too much speculation. Every region, the Dex's Pokemon get updated level up movesets. All the Pokemon that evolve via attack may very well not have the move in their set at all in HGSS. There are other questionable changes you made too. Its obvious that they aren't above modding the Dex now, but to what extent and why are still unknown until the game's release.
BTW, your Dex list is huge. A spoiler tag would have been nice. lol
Yep.
Ok I rethought this. What happened to stuff after Lapras really is too far.
But I'm sure about the lv.up move evolutions being in.
Yanmega
Ambipom
-Growlithe is +2
Tangrowth
Lickilicky
Mamoswine
-Lapras is +5
Does anyone have any reason why GF would leave Pokemon which are not seen till very late/uncatchable in GS? I mean stuff like
-Kangaskhan (exclusive to Rock Tunnel),
-Cubone(same),
-Diglett(exclusive to Diglett Cave),
-Snorlax,
-legends,
-fossils(no fossils appear in 2 regional pokedexes anyway)
-Kanto starters (same)
spoiler doesn't seem to work the ways I know of ):
-
I figured out why Growlithe is placed +2.
All the 4th gen new pre/evolutions for the Pokemon coming before Growlithe, can be excluded by not making the reqs for their evolution/breeding available, EXCEPT for 2:
Yanma and Aipom.
For those they'd have to either:
-make them not learn the needed moves
-go the FRLG "oh it stopped evolving" way
Both are crap so they leave those in.
It's obvious then that this will also hold true for Lickitung and Tangela (and Piloswine if the move relearner is available pre national dex)
So my most logical prediction at this time would be this:
001 Chikorita
002 Bayleef
003 Meganium

231 Celebi
For more accuracy we only need info about:
-where the move relearner is (if pre natdex then Mamoswine gets in also, but unlikely)
-if Dratini and Larvitar line go somewhere else in the dex than where I put them (they're definitely before 224 and after 130)
-which of the common Kanto pokes will be left out (the rock tunnel ones for sure, like Kanga and Cubone, maybe Diglett also...)
otherwise everything should be like above (which is mostly the original Johtodex anyway).
-
We have no idea what is actually going on with the Dex now. All we know is Growlithe, Arcanine, and Lapras are further back in the Dex than before. There is no proof anything was taken out, though certain Pokemon may have been reorganized now. Not saying they aren't taking anything out, the Kanto starters and legends are about pointless in there unless we are given a Kanto starter by Oak and a chance at the Kanto Legends later on, but they don't need to be in the Dex for that, tis what the National version is for.
Though the little information that we have right now doesn't support your Larvitar theory, as that line has 3 Pokemon and the number shift is only by 2. If anything, this is only proof that the Dex may have been expanded, like it needs it. lol It was the largest Regional Dex we've had so far.
Well, they surely didn't put the fossils before Lapras right? This means that something was put before Lapras which wasn't originally. If you also agree with the logical conclusion that they're not any of the legends, then the ONLY possible lines are Dratini and Larvitar.
This is 100% logical and obvious, with the info we have.
Btw the Kanto legends and starters despite not being catchable in Johto, are used by important NPCs like Lance with his Charizard and Aerodactyl.
But what would be the point of fossils not remaining on their numbers if not because they're taken out?
And yeah 251 Pokemon is huge for 1 region. That's probably why they change it a bit and probably exclude the 20 Pokes to make it into 231 or 230, which is at least nearer to Pt's SinnohDex (210).
-
I just came back from vacation (an extraordinary awakening seminar btw xP) and found out that johtodex numbers for Growlithe and Lapras are known and they are different!
Anyone remember how much I speculated about what would be changed in it in order to make it an actual regional pokedex? Yay, I can continue DX
So,
Growlithe and Arcanine's number are +2 (what about Houndour getting squashed in before? =D)
Lapras is originally before the fossils at 219, but now it's number is 224 which was previously the last fossil, Aerodactyl, right before Snorlax.
So I was right about leaving fossils out (and probably Kanto starters/legends)? D:
If yes, it means that the Dex continues after Snorlax like that (btw Snorlax is 1 of those last before pseudo/legends in dexes):
225 Snorlax
226 Raikou
227 Entei
228 Suicune
229 Larvitar
230 Pupitar
231 Tyranitar
232 Lugia
233 Ho-oh
234 Celebi
looks crap.
UNTIL you get the idea they might have put Larvitar earlier in the game and therefore also in the dex (like Gible for example)!
228 Suicune
229 Lugia
230 Ho-oh
231 Celebi
Now that looks much better
This would mean that 20 Kantos would be left out:
fossils 5
starters 9
legends 5
= 19
The missing one should be obvious: Kangaskhan, as it's one of those 4 lines that appear exclusively in a single area in Kanto, and of course the only one of them with 1 stage.
-
And here I thought we had dropped the subject. lol
I still say there is no use trying to prove anything, as there is no evidence for or against any of the theories. The legend says 3 nameless Pokemon died in the fire. It does not say their species, nor their type, and the fact that it says nameless means that NOBODY in the game from the time the events happened to the present knew what Pokemon died. There are three simple facts known about the Pokemon.
1.3 Pokemon died in the Brass Tower fire.
2. Ho-oh revived the Pokemon into the 3 Legendary Beasts known as Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.
3. Ho-oh granted them these forms to embody the events at the tower; the lightning strike, the raging flames, and the torrential downpour.
Anything other than that is fan speculation and will NEVER be proven unless Gamefreak addresses the issue in HGSS. And if most of the old stuff is kept as is, like most the dialogue was in FRLG, we will never know. The best bet is just that 3 wild Pokemonm like Pidgey/Hoothoot/Ratatta got caught in the fire. I doubt wild Eevee were in the tower, as Eevee are domesticated Pokemon only, and if a trainer had an Eevee die, then we'd have had a known species to put in the legend. lol
Well that's where at least something is backing up my Eevee theory:
3 Sages, the protectors of the Tin Tower, have Eeveelutions. wouldn't the Brass Tower also have 3 Eevee trainers as protectors before burning down?
The hole in this is that it's said they're unknown and if this was true anyone would know. Maybe we could really encounter 3 Eeveeless Sages which are successors of the original 3 Sages and who would tell us that those were their grand grand fathers Pokemon who died xP
Yes this speculation. But what's wrong with looking for the most logical theories and ones for which we also find some hints?
