  1. alright i merged what vgperson had in his git and did some continuity check with trainer names and I think I got everything preparing patches, major props to vgperson since v6 is basically all done by him.

    Edit:

vgperson updated some stuff while I was making the patches so i will either do a 6.5 later on if battle subway still freezes/crashes if it doesn't i'll just add them into v7

    P.S.

    V6 patches are up

    P.S.

    Hi Crys!

  3. I though this was fixed by now, but, is there a way to fix the VS Recorder bugged code numbers?

I fixed it earlier, but you won't see it till v6 or unless you update your own narc with what is on the gits.

I'm sorry if I just totally missed this if it's been talked about already but, once I applied v5 to a clean dump and put it back on my acekard2i and I went to load the game, it just sat there with a white screen and nothing happened. Is that just something wrong with the patch or did I do something wrong?

Remember to give it enough time to create the new nds file... and move over the _patched one not the original one.

And I'm calling it a night see you guys later

  4. Kaarosu, are you using the black version or white version when you are running the battle subway? And are you using desmume? I'm just curious since I still keep crashing on the battle subway and I just wanted to emulate your setup. Maybe that'll cause all of my troubles to go away.

I'm using: pokemon black --> patched with rudolph --> patched with translation v3

emulator --> desmume on windows 7

Ah haha my bad I seemed to have failed to mention that I made changes on what I thought were causing the problems (Subway Trainer names -Main git File 0014.txt) and I'm testing them and it seems to be working so far (there is 300 trainers that are selected at random so testing as much as possible) I'll include it for the next patch though and hopefully it'll be fixed by then

  5. I was using the original Pokemon White version, the only patch it had was the Exp. Patch but when I played V4, I went to the Pokemon Party Menu, and the names were still in Japanese text... I put the sav. file somewhere on my computer and started a new game with V5, which has English text for the Pokemon names, will the japanese text stay on my previous save file, no matter what English Patch I use? Because on V4, I caught some blue Bug Pokemon and its name was in English.lol

Any pokemon caught prior to a patch retain their names since that's in the save file, anything caught after that will have english names if that's the patch you used.

  6. it always works on an ak2i, that's what i use... anyways so the kindergartner kept on crashing people right? i'm still trying to test them all but there is a total of 300 possible trainers in the subway... but so far i've run into a couple of bikers/waiters/baker/kindergartners and haven't crashed. Any other trainers that you guys have had crash it for you? that you can remember of course

  7. it was the formatting, I just took out the 'Video' out cause it seemed redundant to me since you *know* you are looking at a video so why have it there again (I would've fixed this a while ago but this was actually my first time looking at anything in wifi lol) but it seems to work well so I moved on to these said Battle Subway problems with some changes I made, what is the highest people have gotten to? I'm at the 12th carriage/battle right now

  8. only other thing I can make of what you said is.. the backwards of it. Desmume > ak2i in which case while playing your game in desmume go to File > Export Back Up Memory, give it a name and save it somewhere then move that new .sav to your ak2i (make sure the .nds and .sav file names are the same or it won't load) and play..

@mptje: you're probably looking for a tool like dsbuff for editing the icon/text as for the title screen, I have no clue how that one goes sadly I've only used the narcs sent to me but I'll let everyone know as soon as I figure it out myself

  9. i was wondering if there was a way to play the game through desmume with the acekard 2i?? Cus it worked on my computer but i don't have any idea of how to play desmume through acekard or if there is even a way for that

Copy your save file from your ak2i then wen playing in desmume after loading the game go to File > Import Back Up Memory and choose the sav you copied from your ak2i... and play.

    Edit to avoid double post:

Battle Videos should be fixed now I posted a pic up on an earlier post, I'm checking out Battle Subway now to see what is up exactly hopefully it's something that can be fixed from this side

  10. OK. I also want to mention that this is the same in the Battle Video GTS, but the Battle Recorder and that are probably linked.

I am at Sanyou Town now, and when I talk to the middle lady in the Pokémon Center, she talks about the spikey eared PICHU not being allowed online, when I don't have him in my party. This is at the early stages of the game (the lady to the right displays the correct message so maybe you can just copy that message).

I'm looking at the Battle Video stuff right now even though it seems to hate my router, as for the spikey eared pichu i thought I had fixed that a while back it must've been reverted back with one of the merges without realizing it but i'll fix it again.

    Edit:

Alright the messed up numbers should be fixed now here is a quick shot i took with my phone

  11. Wow like being ignored for wanting to help out translating.... >___> I have R4i Gold, so I don't know how to help you there.:(

So anyone? I i decided to be nice and put the 2.narc file with all the Gen V move names changed to English, like Pawaashea is now Power Share. Well if people here are ignoring me here because that change has been done already, then sorry.... Please tell if someone has already done this? So I can at least know.xD

It should be They're very wary and take turns to keep\xfffea watch over the area around their next.\xfffeIf no one's there, they get nervous.

I think you were being 'ignored' cause the attack moves have been romaji free since like... v3? or v4?

    P.S.

Do remember that all of our translations are being made into the 0000 directory and not the 0001 directory

  12. Naïve is how it's spelled. Sometimes it's also spelled naive with a normal i, though.

I didn't notice that line being too far over, but if it is, changing "become" to "be" would be best, I think.

Assuming everything from my repository got over properly...

    - All scenes on the path of the story should be translated (though there are still likely a few issues, as it hasn't all been tested).

    - Somewhere around 30% (really rough estimate) of trainer dialogue is translated (but all plot-important battles are covered).

    - All NPCs (except for the designer in the lower-right of Shippou City) should be done up to around Raimon, and from then on it kinda just depends what I've felt like doing.

Speaking of that last one, would anyone happen to know what file the designer's house is in? (Her first line starts "ワタシ かぐデザイナーの".) Or for that matter, Belle's first email? (It ends with the blinking "PIC_バイバイ"/"BYEBYE" emoticon.)

EDIT: Also, I suppose a message to whoever translated the type images: the status effect images still need to be translated.

Yeah whoever did those images disappeared so i'm actually working on learning that stuff on my own now. and as the designer house it's ummm 316 in the story git

  13. Thankies.

Edit - Decided to see if bugs from the previous version were fixed.

The Battle Recorder and everything related it is still "corrupted". It's even worse now as it freezes for longer and you can see any of the battle numbers, it's all just question marks, making it impossible to share battle videos.

I am going to test U-Turn now, and get to work on finding errors in the story.

Edit 2 - Seems U-Turn was fixed, I'll do more battle testing (battle subway) and see if that kid crashes the game.

Edit 3 - Battle Subway crashes immediately upon entering.....

Edit 4 - Entered a second time, and it didn't crash. The same kid is still doing it I think.

I'll look into the battle recorder this update was mostly centered around story and the battle recorder is in the main git i think so that's probably why it wasn't fixed but i'll take a look at it and see whats up.

Before I go crazy, what are the differences between the kata and normal version of the patch?

EDIT: Is it only the name of the pokemon themselves or does it effect gameplay somehow?

It seems that there is some sort of filter on their servers that filters out 'edited' pokemon so if you want to trade/battle online I would suggest you use pokemon with their original names(the kata patch)

  14. ok, has anyone figured out if we deleted some lines or something for the union room stuff?

if anyone could please tell me where the file is when the pokemon learn a move, since i have found the in-battle learning stuff

Is it freezing or something? From what I've noticed Union Room/Battle Subway has some sort of filter that doesn't let people in that don't use pokemon with original names... I might be wrong but that seems to be the trend. You can always compare it to the 0001 folder since that was left untouched for moments like these... but i doubt there are any lines missing or I wouldn't have been able to compile.
