  1. This is awesome. Took me ages to find a way to "fix" my White Forest without Entralinking.

    On the City Dweller editor, anyone knows what the "content" vale does?

    Basically how happy they are being residents of black city/white forest at 100 they love it, at 10 and below... i think is when they're ready to leave

  2. Didn't work for me.

    Additionally, PokeSkin ED gives me some weird error with a Yes/No option upon saving the imported skin, but I can't read it. Tried with the Pikachu/Piplup .psks posted in this thread.

    Seems to be working just fine for everyone else, you're probably getting the 'are you sure you want to save changes?' prompt. I made a quick translation to PokeSkinED in my BW thread if you care enough to look.

  3. Alright I need some of you guys to try something for me, it sounds silly but do let me know if it works for you. (Did for me)

    Step 1: Find a C-Gear skin you like (.psk format)

    Step 2: Load .psk file into PokeSkinED

    Step 3: Save .psk file from PokeSkinED

    Step 4: Open up PokeCGear, load your save file and Import the new .psk file you just made

    Step 5: Check if it worked and wonder wtf it didn't work before

  4. Actually, someone managed to hack the Trainer Sprites, the Overworld Sprites and the Mugshot Sprite, as seen here. He doesn't give away how to edit it, though.

    Nobody else on the Pokémon hacking community managed to do this, which means it's quite hard to do (especially if you're a beginner).

    Actually as far as I know any kind of overworld sprites editing is not yet possible as for that video, they themselves tell you the tools used in the video's description. (Kazo's BW Trainer Editor)

    That's why all that was changed was the Trainer type (From E4 to PKMN Trainer)

  5. Hey guys, I am a new user, yet I am very familiar with the GEN 4th GTS Exploit, and upon some googlling, I found this thread!

    So, I have a few questions for this program;

    1. This DOES indeed work with retail english black and white and accepts .pkm files to be sent (more specefic on this?) (made with a version of pokesav that is B/W compatible?

    2.Will this work on WPA?

    the file I downloaded is labeled: "ir-gts-v0.42.zip" This is THE correct version, no?

    I apologize for being ignorant if I am, however, I am at school and have no ability to check immediatley.

    Thank you to IR for making this program, it is very convenient. :)

    1. Yes, Pokegen files are used as well (136-PC/220-Party for BW .pkm files)

    2. Only if you have a DSi I believe / and the file you need is "ir-gts-bw-v0.03.zip" notice the bw :)

  6. what do you mean with bugged kaphotics ??

    I tried it already and there's no problem at all ??

    which bugs are you reffering to ??

    It can import/export them fine, the bug is that when you continue your game it gives you an error that says the skin is corrupted and deletes its from your C-gear

  7. You do not need an external IP to make this work. I was able to successfully get into the fake GTS after adding 'socket.shutdown(SHUT_RDWR)' after every response is sent.

    Now that I have that out of the way, I should be able to finish IR-GTS-BW within the next week or so. Looking at the descriptions of the DPPT and BW .pkm structure, it looks like everything is in the same place, with the exception of the last few bytes of a party Pokemon. Is the block shuffling/encryption algorithm still the same? Haven't been able to find anything about that.

  8. Just one thing about PokeCGear.

    When o open it, i load my save, but when i enter Black City, White Forest Editor, it just give me an error and close.

    Any help?

    I made this translation under the assumption people had already downloaded the original version and had the required files already and just replace whatever they had with what I uploaded.

  9. google it, it's been out since the japanese release. The only translated one isn't even up to date with US names or anything but Pokegen v.3.0b17 is already up to date with english names and you don't have to worry about silly hex values or anything either..even help bubbles come up if you hover over something you don't know how to use don't see how you can hate a great program like that.

  10. This post is mostly aimed at the few(?) of you that actually use this tool so you know what it is. I'll make it clear now that I'm only working on the BW functionality of this tool. GBA stuff can be done by someone else or I'll do it eventually but I'm doing this on my free time and when I have absolutely nothing else to do so don't hold your breath. Also the way the program is made makes it impossible to use some words at times so I've done my best to abbreviate them without losing the meaning. I'm assuming you already have grabbed PokeStock from the author's site so replace his files with mine in their respective directories and enjoy! As always if you find a typo or some error and care enough to get it fixed leave a reply or shoot me a PM.

  11. The program itself doesn't come with the images, you'll have to get these on your own. Each image has to be in .jpg format and has to be 90x73 hmm lets see what else am i forgetting... oh yeah and the naming sequence you have to use is: p<dex #=""><gender><shiny>[Dex Nr][Gender][shiny].jpg

    So for example:

    A Female Bulbasaur, the file would have to be named "p001f.jpg" | A Male Bulbasaur would be "p001m.jpg"

    A shiny female Bulbasaur would be "p001fs.jpg" | A shiny Male Bulbasaur would be "p001ms.jpg"

    Someone should be kind enough to make these for those who use this tool, or i'll do it myself later on after i finish translating some more. Anyways now you know how :)

    P.S.

    Haven't figured out the special cases with pokemon with different forms quite yet but it should follow a similar format. Ex. Unowns would be p201[Letter][shiny].jpg

Sorry for the lack of updates been extremely busy especially with the holidays (hope you all had a great thanksgiving if you celebrate it) anyways I'll do a v7 here shortly with what vgperson who is so awesome he's keeping the translations alive all on his own. Anyways I'll do a release here shortly uploading the patches as i type this.

    Not sure when the next update will be if there will be one at all as vgperson said he's the only one who's still translating stuff so i'll just do one last one whenever he feels that it is 'good enough' since the game is playable without getting lost anymore. Anyways enjoy!

  13. Minor snafu in the eastern Wonder Bridge gatehouse: The old woman, when talking about the ghost girl, says "Casey" when she should say "Abra".

    That's how it was in the original text, Casey/Ke-shi might be the name of the Abra or something but i'll change it to Abra to avoid confusion for 6.5

    There's a number of Wi-Fi features, and even individual things are usually spread over more than one file. At this point, almost every entry in the non-story files (0/0/2.narc) that isn't already translated is Wi-Fi related. There are also a number of actual "rooms" in the story files (0/0/3.narc) that involve Wi-Fi, such as the Union Room (463), the Global Terminal (471), and a bunch of High-Link/Dream World rooms.

    By the way, my repository should now be good for a version 6.5 featuring a nearly-complete, non-crashing Battle Subway. (Most of the NPCs hanging around the rest stops every 7 trainers aren't translated, and I may be missing a few other things since I haven't done an extremely thorough test.)

    Merging repos now and i'll do some testing and then do the 6.5 with the fixes

    BUG:if you put some pkm's in egg from in boxs, when you move around in the box it will freeze. Then you have to restart the the game.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, if you deposit an egg into a box and then try to move around the box the game freezes?

Still haven't had any luck with the v6 English over v5 English Black. 2 Questions about this; 1) Does anyone have Black working on V6? 2) And who else DOESN'T have Black working when trying to patch v5 to v6? Because I only have 2 other people with this same problem, so afaik, it's not my Rom that's acting up. Here are my statistics in case anyone's curioius:

    Current Rom: 5216 - Pokemon Black (Japan)_patched

    Current Patch: V5Black-NewLogo-Kata.patch

    broken Patch: V6Black-NewLogo-English.patch

    Emulator: DeSmuME

    End result: White screen when trying to open Rom

    EDIT 1- I THINK it might be a conflict with the CURRENT patch and the NEW patch, (I definitely know it's a problem with the patch). I'm saying this because if you look at my data, (above), you'll see that my Current patch ends with 'Kata,' and the New patch ends with 'English.' It's not the Name I'm emphasizing, it's what the patch contains. I'm not sure that this is the problem, just putting this idea out there for the developers, and of course, people with this same problem.

    Have either of you found a solution to our problem with the white screen? Are you still having the problem? And the last question, what are your:

    Current rom?

    Current Patch?

    Broken Patch?

    Emulator?

    End Result?

    You are starting this with a clean unpatched game right? A lot of people usually have this error if they're trying to patch over an already patched game.
