@Gridelin How can I find out if the PID I want is one that could be generated normally with a physical gamecube and gba connected to it? The one I would like is 722FB9EE (Naive, 21/20/15/24/21/30) - is that one possible to receive on hardware? Thanks in advance

Does PKHeX check for the legality of Gen III->IV Pal Park trash bytes?
I understand there's different trash bytes assigned based on which Gen IV game the Pokemon is transferred to (DP, Pt, or HGSS) and the language of that Gen IV game.

What's the difference between the MYSTRY Mew and the Aura Mew?
From what I understand, the MYSTRY Mew was distributed in the USA and originated from a FireRed cartridge with around 400 preloaded Mews. In terms of the Aura Mew, was it distributed in the UK from a distribution cart similar to the 10Anniv distro carts? If so, how would I go about recreating an Aura Mew with a legal PID?

For some reason when I type the desired ID and SID into that python script for checking the legality of the umbreon/espeon it just closes out the window. Any idea what the issue could be?

Ok because I noticed my Gen 3 Manectric (edited IV's and generated a new PID for it in accordance with its method) was originally marked as legal with legality checker and is now marked as illegal with PKHeX (file attached below).
Is this a false positive/negative or an actual issue with the way the PID was generated?

I noticed that PKHeX seems to now take into consideration initial seeds with a given TID and SID on a game to calculate whether the PID of a Pokemon is possible with that game/TID/SID combo.
Am I understanding it correct that this is a new level of legality checking and that we should now use RNG reporter to find legal PID's for our Pokemon given a TID/SID combo?
Does this mean that many Pokemon that were marked as legal in the past (such as with the old legalitychecker.exe program for Gen 4) are now going to be marked illegal?

You can also use Trigger's PC (Pokebank for Gen 3), which has an option to reenable the Steven battle

What's the best way to generate a legal PID for the XD: GoD Eevee (given a certain nature and set of IV's)?
I've been trying with XDCheck but I keep getting the "unable to match encounter conditions to a possible RNG frame" error when legality checking

It worked! Thank you so much

please try the version in this link; I changed the autoscaling properties to potentially fix this issue (since it appears your UI scaling is not 100%)
Still the same only the first five columns show, even with the new version you posted in that link

Two bugs I noticed while editing my Platinum save file:
1) Editing a Pokemon's EV's to 252 will randomly give it a whole bunch of ribbons as well
2) After editing the first time and saving, a Bad Egg showed up in my daycare center (without me having ever touched the daycare center editing panel)

I've updated the program, it should work with all Gen IV files. (it does with mine)
edit: DP reading wrong index, hot-fixed.
Thank you so much for your help, this is huge! Finally able to recover some old Pokemon's data (PID) for recreation, again I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your help

I'm currently trying to change an Aron's PID to match the new IV's I gave it and I'm getting inconsistent information from across serebii, PKHeX, and Pokegen regarding whether Ability Slot 1 is Sturdy or Rockhead. When I use PKHeX to import my Aron from a Gen III file format to Gen IV+, it says it had Sturdy (as it does in-game), and says that Sturdy is Ability Slot 1.
BUT, when I search my Aron's PID with PID-IV.exe, it says that this PID could only have Ability Slot 2.
Am I missing something here? Did they switch from Gen III to IV?

I'm considering it, but I'll need to find one of my older saves with DP/Pt Hall of fame cleared in order to grab the offsets, to make sure I'm getting the correct values..
So to view the PID info in the save file myself using HxD, do I simply open up the .sav file in HxD and try searching the full PID in Hex form?

Will this extractor work with DP/Pt?
Edit: Never mind, silly question. Do you plan on making one for DP/Pt?
-
Will RAM2SAV still work for S/M?
If not, what are the other options for extracting a save file from a retail S/M catridge?

Any chance we can get a Hall of Fame hidden data viewer/editor implemented for past generations similar to the one already implemented for Generation 6?

Which program are you using to check if the Pokemon is legal?

Hi all,
I'm currently trying to edit my Generation 4 games' Hall of Fame data, is there any program out there that allows me to do this?
Thanks in advance,

Quick Question: If a Japanese event Wondercard (such as the Shiny Jirachi that was distributed some time ago) is redeemed and the Pokemon received on a Japanese cartridge that's language is set to English, will the Pokemon be generated with an English name? (whilst still having the Japanese OT obviously)

Could someone please post a .pkx file of the Maxsoft Arceus that was just distributed? Thanks in advance

Nostalgia Moment: I still remember the days when this site used to be called... Oh what was it? Pokesav.org if I'm not mistaken? Back then it was Generation 4 and everyone was hacking and pokesav-ing their D/P/Pl/HG/SS games. This place was bustling!
My video game hobby growing up as a teen wasn't simply Pokemon, it was playing around with Pokesav, and then eventually Pokegen, to get the most out of the games. Those were the days I was much younger then, more carefree.

Hey all,
I am currently trying to run PKHeX on my mac using wine (the latest version) but it always gets stuck on the loading screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?
And please don't just say "get bootcamp/parallels" as those cost a lot of money and are a pain to install.
Thanks
XD: Shadow Monitor stores PID's?
in Saves - Research
Posted
Hey everyone,
I just loaded up my ten year-old XD:Gale of Darkness save file. While looking at the Shadow Monitor in the in-game PDA, and I noticed that it displays:
Given it provides this information, I would assume the game stores the PID of each and every shadow Pokemon caught in a separate part of the save file for the Shadow Monitor to cross-reference and see if that Pokemon is still present in the games PC/Party.
If so, would it be possible to view/extract these PID's?
The reason I ask is that I lost a lot of these shadow Pokemon (including Lugia) and would like to recreate them using the original PID's.
Thanks in advance for any advice
