  1. What have I done? I've started an entire conversation!!!

What about an iPod Touch/iPhone theme? <:B

Just make a "mobile" theme. I've seen an iPod Touch, it works in a similer way to the DSi, except the DSi takes advantage of the two screens.

    -posted on a DSi

  2. Here I go again, another monster of a reply:

Yeah but who does that, i only do that if I'm near my charger, and the games just look really good on high brightness.

I always keep mine on the lowest setting. It is convinient being able to turn off the backlight when needed.

Do you realize you were saying Plat the whole time, at first i thought you were talking about Pokemon Platinum.

That is it's actual name, and it is colored platinum (or rather, silver, or grey)

Yeah the DSi has a lot of cool dohickeys, and hotkeys, or shortcuts if you prefer, like making the hand held mute, changing the brightness, hot swappable, and you can enter everything without turning the DS off.

Finnally, someone other than me who actually supports the DSi!

Well, that didn't turn out as bad as I planned.

  3. What's wrong with being young?

If you have a brain, you shouldn't be ashamed. People who judge you based on that aren't worth it anyways. What good are friends you have to lie to? It's not like you're going to be hunted by the FBI for being young and good with computers.

"Okay, Command has ordered us to look for this kid who can program. He's been hiding from us for years, but we finally have his location. This kid is KOS. None of that 'capture him alive' bs, that's for pansies. We all know using a computer is illegal, let's make this quick. Move out!"

    >_> Srsly. Nobody cares whether you're five years old, twenty, or fifty. If you can type coherent sentences and don't act like an idiot, it's fine.

    HAHAHA

    I love secrecy.

That's why I'm not posting a more detailed picture of me.

  4. Hmmm.....

If I post a picture, then whoever game me the Developer rank in the forum will probebly gasp.

Because of that, I'lll just leave it at this:

    [Dosen't show much, doesn't it?]

[edit]:I dare anyone reading this to guess why.

  5. ~Improved Battery Life.

Unless you have the brightness on really high

~Brighter, it will make games look so much better, especially those dark area games like Zelda, or Dark Spire, even Avalon Code.

One thing, there is a bug (the DSi has it too), then the backlight is turned off (Super Mario 64 DS can do this), it is difficult to see past the thick screens. This is the only real reason I can see for getting a DS lite over the Plat, aulthough, the Plat. is only slightly brighter (One can barely see this) than the DSlite when it is on it's lowest brightness setting.

I still recomend a DSi, because at any time, one can hold SELECT, and press the volume buttons to change the brightness. AT ANY TIME!!!

~Lighter it actually becomes a portable console, that you can fit in your pocket easier then the Phat.

    ds.

Here I am, testing this to be true (that tells that I really do not support the DS lite). Lengthwise, it is about 3/4 inch shorter, Widthwise, it is less than 1/2 inch shorter, Heightwise, it less than 1/4 inch shorter. Also, the power switch is on the outside, so if you put it in the pocket, it may turn off. (That is an improvement of the DSi, putting the power switch on the inside).

~I think it has improved wireless, because when playing Bleach Dark Soul, while it loads, the Lite seems to download the data faster then the Phat.

That is an opinion, not a fact.

~Improved stylus, making it thicker, defiantly reduces the chances of the stylus swinging out, or slipping down.

I honestly have no preference on this, and it is no reason to turn down the Plat.

Have you seen some videos on Youtube of people destroying their Nintendo DS Lite, it takes a hell of a beating, and it survives so much, there was a really good video of testing the DS durability, but unfortunately it has been removed, and the bottom screen is probably the toughest part of the DS Lite.

Take the screens, for example. The Plat. has a much stronger transparent layer for the top screen. On the lite, one can just barely tough it, and it will have the colory things displayed, which it really bad.

For the Plat, one has to mean it, and I don't want to exert pressure for it to even slightly appear, because it requires that much pressure. As for the touch screen, I wouldn't be supprised if the Plat's touch screen was made of plexi-glass.

The buttons are cheaper, too (thank the LORD that nintendo made them better quality with less plastic). The DS lite's buttons wiggle around all over the place due to insufficient planning. The Plat's buttons are amazing quality. I still recomend a DSi, because unlike the DS lite, Nintendo really spent time planning it.

  6. Whats big about september 22? Your birthday? I'm excited because the release of this game means more pokemon!

I used the same offset (In days) as the DSi release.

I'm agree! Don't like mystery dungeon! I had bought (in french) "explorateur du temps" in a game shop and I had resold it the next day!

Was it because it was french, or do you know French?

  7. This is a tough one. I have so many different parts of my personallity. In mystery dungeon 2, I got just about every pokemon available! I almost have a choice of which one I get!

    [sprite]007[/sprite]

That is what I choose, which also fits me, because I have figured nearly everything about this world out. Including that the number 4 is genetically signifigant for pokemon!!!

  8. The Zune plays by the rules more than any other company: Microsoft supports all normal formats (including Apple's format, but nothing weird like Impulse Tracker [*.it]). Apple locks you into their service, so there isn't much choice in which format/media player you use.

  9. Looks like I'm gonna buy an NDS Lite. If anyone is selling theirs, let me know. Currently the cheapest used ones I can find in my location are for about $55 USD.

If you are not going to get a DSi, then get the DS Plat, and not the DS lite. The DS lite is made of cheaper material than the original. When I got a DS lite to replace my original one, the only reason was that it broke, and I couldn't find any originals (on sites I trust). The firmware is next to no different at all, and the only positive difference for the DSlite is that it's screens are brighter. Also keep in mind, the speakers on the original DS are louder/better quality than the DS lite's. Adding on to this monster of a reply I caught myself typing, the GBA games stick out akwardly of a DS lite. I would love for anyone to attempt to tell me that the DS lite is better than the original, only if they have at least 3 facts to back it up.

Get the original DS (Plat.) :kikkoman:

  10. I will finally be able to play as a Riolu without hacking the game and putting up with the lack of animation (animation of walking for sleeping, only one picture for when it is talking, etc.)

Now, let's apply logic to this:

Platinum was released in US March, and JP October. That is about a 5-6 month difference. The DSi was released in US April, and JP November, That is also a 5-6 month difference. So, using the same idea, because this was released on April 18, 2009, then in the US it should be released September-October (Possibly September 22)!!!

  11. What programming language do YOU primarily use? If you are not using the .Net version of the languages that apply, then please specify in a reply.

Non-Programmers/Developers/Webmasters should not vote. [To clarify things, I am not talking about your forum rank here.]
