  1. there are. example:

in pokesav, edit a pokemon from no nickname to nicknamed. pick something random for the nick, then save the save file in pokesav. open the sav in pokegen. look at the trainer's nickname and the nicknamed poke's name. pokesav does funny things to them. you'll see bits of that nickname sometimes show up in both sets, not to mention that the nicknamed poke will have weird trash bytes beyond just bits of the name showing up in them. you don't always have to nickname it, either. sometimes, bits of the name will just show up. pokegen doesn't do that, and if you delete it with pokegen, it will fix the problem.

that doesn't mean that anything major has been changed in pokesav, but it's enough to start questioning where the poke actually came from, etc.

  2. if you look in the readme that came with legal.exe:

    More Types:

    - Egg - This is a pokemon in an egg. There is not much to check.

    - Hatched - This pokemon was hatched from an egg. Not much to check.

    - Honey Tree Munchlax - This is a legal Munchlax that came from a Honey Tree.

    - Mystery Gift (Static PID) - This is a mystery gift with a static pokemon id.

    - Mystery Gift (Dynamic PID) - This is a mystery gift with a dynamic pokemon id.

Make sure to check it thoroughly with another program to be sure its legit.

    - Hacked Mystery Gift - The mystery gift is a hacked static pid mystery gift.

    - Egg from Manaphy Event - This is an egg from the pokemon ranger manaphy event.

    - Static (usually in-game traded) - This is a static pokemon, usually it was traded from an in-game source.

    - Hatched from Manaphy Event - This is a manaphy hatched from the pokemon ranger event.

    - Hacked Manaphy Event - This is a hacked manaphy.

    - Valid USA (or Japan) Berry Glitch Zigzagoon (RUBY or SAPHIRE)

    - This is a legal zigzagoon acquired from the japanese or american demo disc.

    - The name displayed, RUBY or SAPHIRE is based on the trainer's gender, and must match the OT Name.

    - Hacked Berry Glitch Zigzagoon

    - This is a hacked zigzagoon, which failed either the OTG, TID, SID, Shiny, PID, IV, Location, HomeTown, or other check.

    - Unknown GBA Pokemon - Hacked & Hatched pokemon from GBA will show up as unknown. Pokemon from XD/Collo will also be unknown.

These promotional pokemon also fall here:

    - CHANNEL Jirachi

    - Ageto Celebi

    - Koroshiamu pikachu

    - Ruby/Saphire Shiny Zigzagoon

    - PCNY pokemon

    - Hacked Pokemon - This pokemon was hacked.

the chansey was given away in a pcny event. you would need someone to check to make sure it's legitimate, though.

  3. sure your card is compatible with it?

IF IT DOESN'T WORK TRY PUTTING IT IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY!

If your card supports the argv mod it should be OK in another directory (AKAIO, CycloDS, HomebrewMenu)

Homebrew menu is included in the download!

Remember to DLDI it for your cart if it doesn't automatically.

    Works on:

    * CycloDS Evolution (before v1.55 root only)

    * Acekard 2i AKAIO

    * EZ-Flash V (root only)

    * Most R4 clones (root only)

also make sure you follow the instructions about trying the thing in the root dir.

  4. I don;t think I'm understanding you exactly. you have a pkm that's legal and you change an iv, and it's hacked right? the pid and ivs aren't a matched pair anymore and the checksum is changed, but not re-calced, so that's why. you might want to have a look on smogon at the article by x-act on how pids are generated. this is where i'm losing you, though. "doing this by using the pokemon in-game" doesn't really make sense because after the 2 rng calls to generate the ivs, they don;t change at all. could you maybe post a couple of pkms as an example?

  5. you can also just attach them here.

also, legal crashes if the poke is marked at hatched but a non-real date is given for its hatching/receipt. pokesav's 0/0/2000 will cause legal to crash. also, non-matching pid/ivs won't cause legal to crash, that's what it was made to detect.

  6. The ARDSi plugs into the PC without the cartridge or the DS (unlike the ARDS).

I presume this was working OK at one point?

oh, really? that's pretty cool. there were a few people on another forum wondering why their ardses weren't working, and as it turned out they hadn't plugged them in with a game, etc.

  7. the chances are pretty good. malware is everywhere. kaspersky and malwarebytes aren't enough to verify that you have nothing on your pc.

i just downloaded all 3 pokesav versions from here, extracted, and ran all 3 with no issues with microsoft security essentials 2.0. mse is great and my go-to av when someone's pc is infected and their av can't fix the problem. you're either getting false positives or yours pcs are already infected.

notice that you're all running kaspersky, btw. verizon doesn't make any antimalware software, but they do license others', and i think kaspersky is what they currently give out. that last guy said he was using it.

  8. off the bat the absol is wrong because they should all be "common gba event(restricted)". i haven't used pokesav in a while, but i know pokegen can handle this no problem. also, the ot is 10 aniv, but i think it should be 10 anniv.

for the manaphy, it has a pid of 1 to start because it's generated dynamically before/when the manaphy is given out. where did you get that? did you pull it out of a pgt/pcd file? anyway, the pid and ivs aren't supposed to correspond, i don't think, so you should be ok there. the pichu should be the same way- no correspondence between pid/ivs, so you're good there. that said, though, i can't tell you for sure that the pid you're using is one that should appear on a wondercard poke. i know that when rng-abusing wondercards, the frame used is method1+2 frames(or just "wondercard ivs" in rng reporter, but it's the same thing) so i guess most any method 1 pid should work. the riolu is also a wondercard, so i can only assume it works the same way regarding the pid/ivs. if you can find someone else to get a second opinion, definitely do it.

e: i didn't notice manaphy was shiny the first time i looked. mystery gift stuff can't be shiny unless they're set shiny.

e2: and i'm glad i imported them into my game, because i wouldn't have noticed the shiny absol. i don't think 10 anniv stuff can be shiny, but i'm really not positive about that.
