  2. It's kinda weird that the back ups 4x save size. Are you sure your cart is a real retail cart, not a repro/fake? Yeah, if that is what the tool back ups, then you should make sure the file you're restoring is also 4x a save. Maybe the tool trims it when writing back, maybe your cart only reads one of the sectors in the 4x, who knows.
  3. well that's the problem. Read and follow: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ If you got questions, start your own thread. This isn't the place for any follow ups.
  4. you didn't obtain that save using CFW. That's a file straight from your SD card isn't it?
  5. If 57->47 was done in decimal If 57->47 was in hexadecimal His example: Regardless of which value you did, you reduced the wrong bit...
  6. Unofficial VC FireRed. Heard unofficial VC FireRed saves may be different from standard cart FireRed saves. Next, removing trade evos requires a ROM edit, not SAV edit. (so in this case, the save being slightly different won't matter anyway)
  7. and his response still applies. It isn't done by anyone. If it is, you should have been able to google it.
  8. check our save files in downloads. No need to bump your request.
  9. One can get it via Encounter database in PKHeX, or one we uploaded to our site.
  10. Sysbot is a bot (connected to CFW Switches) that can trade you a mon, in Gen 8. Basically, you can upload a mon to the discord channel that has sysbot, then it'll being you a trade code, and when you connect, it'll trade you the mon. (You're effectively using someone elses CFW Switch to inject a mon, then trade it to you) Here is a list of them: https://disboard.org/servers/tag/sysbot Sysbot can be really easy to use. Send the command in the Discord chat, upload the PK8, and the Sysbot will trade it to your game via Locked trade. :3 Reminder: We are not affiliated to these servers. For best results, generate a legal PK8, then get the sysbot to trade it to you. Do know that new events (at the time of you trying), may not be tradable to you. Do not ask us about the issues on said servers. As said, we are not affiliated to them. Happy trading! :3

  12. This may come off as a bit demeaning, but it has to be said. I can't do anything if one were to misunderstand my tone. Do you really think it's that simple? You're saying it as tho no-one else has thought of it. Hint: you're not the first The popular version of CFW installation that works on ANY firmware (on unpatched Switches) is possible due to a hardware vulnerability. So a firmware downgrade (hint: software downgrade) will not work, since it's the hardware vulnerability that was patched. (And besides that, even if that were the case, one can't downgrade the firmware anyway. There probably are exceptions, but chances are it won't apply to you. There's no need to discuss that, since you can't even get CFW.) maybe one day a software vuln for patched Switches will be found, but until then... You can't even install CFW, so you can't use any of those things you mentioned. And also, before you suggest "why can't I find the save in my SD card then use that etc etc", game saves are console encrypted, so finding them in your SD card won't help you. Without CFW, you probably won't be able to dump decrypted saves, nor dump the keys to perform the decryption on your PC (which at that point, might as well dump the saves, that's easier). PKHeX deals with console decrypted saves. If I recall correctly, console encrypting saves only became a thing after the 3DS did it. In any case, without unpatched Switch, no CFW. There was a hardmod that worked for patched Switches, but that's from SX OS, and they've been arrested, so good luck getting the necessary software updates from them. (and that's assuming you can install solder said chip onto your Switch, and the chip isn't faulty). A software vuln may come, but if you want Pokemon hacking now, you gotta wait. (Unless all you want is mons, then use a sysbot)
  13. Check if your Switch is patched. Can only install CFW if it isn't patched. https://ismyswitchpatched.com/ Personal Opinion: If you bought your Switch (not Switch Lite) recently, check if it's a HAC-001-(01) [Model number, at the bottom back of the unit]. Only older models of HAC-001 can install CFW. Chances are, I would think you have a patched model: either newer version of HAC-001, or HAC-001-(01). Running your serial code into the website would give you a better clue.
  14. I can only assume this is a listing you're considering buying. At first glance it seems fine. Tho buy at your own risk. I guess one way to know for sure is to take it apart and check the motherboard and stuff. One could use official shell and buttons on a fake motherboard. (don't know why they'll do that, but the possibility is there) edit: Also depending on price, might rather you just get a 2nd hand NDS/NDS lite. Backlight and can play GBA games + DS games.
  15. We only talk Pokémon, not other games. Also importing correctly sized SAV into Desmume is easy: Once your game loads, That's all you need. Won't be entertaining your non-Pokemon game any further, nor giving you a video. Edit: I'm genuinely hoping it was a misclick on your part. Reporting my reply won't do you any good :3
  16. erm, those numbers are PID. Insert PID and IVs onto your mon. To load your mon correctly, you should load a ColoXD save first.
  17. Someone has to do the research. Much as you find it a pain to search through all generations, it is the same for anyone who would embark on this kind of research and documentation. This kind of documentation isn't magic, someone has to do it.
  18. Please don’t multipost. Most mons transferred back are probably rendered illegal, or was never legal to begin with. In any case, you should still be able to play in-game using them.
  19. @M3nsa please don't multipost. Also link removed. You can upload your save directly into your next reply :3
  20. Use your Switch to obtain a ROM dump. I'm under the impression that the save is the one obtained from your Switch, which would mean you have CFW. So simply dump your own Pokémon Shield.
  21. I hid my response, because the described method normally works for other gens, however I'm having issues recreating the solution for Gen 8 and Gen 1 specifically. As for using Hax mode:
  22. Yeah I understand, and I really really appreciate it. It's always good to have more data. I do think it's too narrow a window to hope to find media for. So hopefully in the mean time I can find the original poster/speculator or images from that timeframe ><
