Can someone please differentiate the patches ending with -English and the patches ending with -Kata for me? I sound like a total n00b, but I never really found the difference. But the first part of being a n00b is realizing you are one.

Hello, I am in need of the 3 shiny beasts, (As close to official as you can get, please). Entei Suicune Raikou If anyone can get/trade me these Pokemon, that would be great. For the Rudolph patch, (I had a friend patch it for me in the first place), do I drag the Rom itself, (the .nds file), into the patch.exe? Just asking for some clarification.

Okie. I think everything is running smoothly again for me now, (AceKard2i running AKAIO v1.8.1, Pokemon Black, Patch v6). I'll just keep quiet for the next few pages unless anyone else needs help.

Ok, I just got my AK2i in the mail today, 2 questions about it: 1. This translation does work on AceKard, right? 2. Can someone give me a link to the firmware or whatever I need to get it started? EDIT - I've managed to download AKAIO 1.8, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it rite. AKAIO loads, I see my clean Rom, my patched Rom, but I see no saves, my save for Pokemon Black seems like it's not present... Halp? EDIT 2 - Ok, I think I've found the problem myself... AK uses the save WITHOUT the '.nds' at the end, when R4 does. Just saying this for reference in case anyone else has this problem in the future.

I haven't tried out the Battle Subway yet, just found the 4th Gym, (after 3 days of searching), because I didn't know it was in the Park... I should learn to examine things more.

Ok, well I just got back on my computer, (I had to write a report), =\ and I'm just about to patch my Rom now. I believe what @Kaarosu said is right, so I'm trying that now. Use an UNPATCHED version of your Rom, (like, a Rom without a v# on it), and apply the v6 patch. Tell me how it goes. EDIT - Ok, @Kaarosu was right, obviously, we, (or at least I), were patching an already patched Rom. I used the clean Rom, and it worked. Now just to get my save file to work.

I think that's the problem, because what I've been thinking of a 'clean' and 'unpatched' Rom would be is just the Rom without the .sav in the same folder. I'll try using the v6 patch on my unpatched Rom, then get back to you. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Still haven't had any luck with the v6 English over v5 English Black. 2 Questions about this; 1) Does anyone have Black working on V6? 2) And who else DOESN'T have Black working when trying to patch v5 to v6? Because I only have 2 other people with this same problem, so afaik, it's not my Rom that's acting up. Here are my statistics in case anyone's curioius: Current Rom: 5216 - Pokemon Black (Japan)_patched Current Patch: V5Black-NewLogo-Kata.patch broken Patch: V6Black-NewLogo-English.patch Emulator: DeSmuME End result: White screen when trying to open Rom EDIT 1- I THINK it might be a conflict with the CURRENT patch and the NEW patch, (I definitely know it's a problem with the patch). I'm saying this because if you look at my data, (above), you'll see that my Current patch ends with 'Kata,' and the New patch ends with 'English.' It's not the Name I'm emphasizing, it's what the patch contains. I'm not sure that this is the problem, just putting this idea out there for the developers, and of course, people with this same problem. EDIT 2- @DrPhilGewd and @Satsu Renkai Have either of you found a solution to our problem with the white screen? Are you still having the problem? And the last question, what are your: Current rom? Current Patch? Broken Patch? Emulator? End Result?

EDIT: I tried it out, I patched my Rom with the right patch, used my current save, but when I load it, it into DeSmuME, it has a white screen. This is how I've done it in the past, why isn't it working anymore? AmIdoinitrite?

Just got the news of v6 from a friend, trying it out now.

To keep the same save file, just make sure the save file of your game matches your .nds file's name: (Ex. yourgame.nds and yourgame.sav).

EDIT: Ok, so the CCE worked, I can use cheats. But now, the actual cheats themselves are there, but no codes inside them. Can someone direct me to a page where I can find some?

Ok, I'll try that out. I found out that my cheats file works with the Japanese game, (BEFORE APPLYING THE PATCH), and it doesn't work with my English game, (AFTER THE PATCH). But yeah I'll try this out, keep you updated.

So just to make things clear, all I have to do is OPEN the usrcheat.dat file to get it to work again?

Ok, but I don't even have any hacked Pokemon, and it's still not letting me in. And I'm not even sure how to get over 5 letters in a Pokemon's name. Oh, I thought it would need to be downloaded through a different site. I'll go check it out.
