  1. Glad to see work still being done to preserve valuable information such as this in 2019!!

  2. Sorry for necroing this post. We have new information about Gen 2 PCNY and are collating it now. One thing I can say real quick is that Mew was shiny, and only shiny. The DVs for shiny are limited too.

  3. Yep we figured it out yesterday (since I'm part of it) We were able to get it from a Shiny Raided Pokemon, the save was not necessary (we had doubt that it was linked to the save part rather than finding what we want FROM a Pokemon File) All good, we'll test stuff and tools without bruteforcing later today.

  4. Staff could modify the campaign.. so anything is possible. I know of one person that got the Mew (shiny). We are currently recreating the machine data to distribute Gen 2 for video.

  5. I'm excited to hear about this stuff. The 2002 distribution did not say "rare" for color. A lot of what was shared in the past relied on the website to get stuff right and compliment the trial and error discovery process. https://web.archive.org/web/20021208162610/http://pokemon.com/events/events4.asp "Celebi is back, in both NORMAL and RARE color– but there’s also a chance to catch a NORMAL color Mew" If I remember right, staff said that Mew was super rare and maybe one person got it that they were aware.

  6. Probably the same for any other language to any other language. This issue originally existed for LGPE too; based on my research (for LGPE), the game does not refer to usual location that has the language byte is stored. So while that byte correctly shows the game language, editing that byte won't make a difference, as it is never referred to by the game again. The byte that controls the language is apparently somewhere else. If SWSH is anything like LGPE, chances are that byte is elsewhere as well

  7. @Ammako, I am not aware of anyone that has a non-shiny Mew from PCNY. Also the percentage was: 98.5% Celebi 1% Shiny Celebi 0.5% Shiny Mew So not many people got it.
