Changes not appearing in exported Pokemon Diamond sav file

After making changes and export as main, when I try to open the exported sav, all changes gone. Any idea how to solve it?

If you're editing a mon you need to set it back to a spot, otherwise you can try closing pkhex completely then reopening it and loading the just exported sav.

I am not sure what you meant by setting it back to a spot but I did try closing pkhex and reopening it and load the exported sav, the changes done were gone sadly

Okay, after you edit a mon, hover your mouse over the PC slot, right click, select set.

This is what they meant by "setting it into a slot".

After that export the save.

Then open a fresh window of PKHeX, check that save.

ok I am dumb. So I was missing that step. Thanks. Everything is fine now.
