Destati
Lets say I make a Flygon and do everything perfectly to make it "mine." Since Flygon is not available in Platinum, one has to hatch an egg in order to make it "their's." Now lets say I make it so its Hometown is Diamond. Will it still treat me as its original trainer? Delta Blast Burn
Yes They Will, The Game Origin Does Not Matter I Have Experimented With This Myself. I Tried The Same Code On A Diamond And Pearl, Which Included A Trainer ID/SID Change, And They Were Both Theated As "Mine" I Even Traded Between The Two Games But They Were Still Treated As "Mine". Destati
Sorry, but based on your last response I can't take your word on that.

GSForte013
Don't think it'll treat you as the OT if you set the hometown to Diamond. Why don't you just set it to Platinum instead since you can breed imported Flygons there? And since it's from "an egg", the parents are unknown anyways. Destati
You wanna know why? .........I hate Pokeballs. They're lame. I wish my Vaporeon was in a Dive Ball, but then I wouldn't be able to have Wish. I want my Flygon in a Nest Ball, but I also want it to be "mine" and OF COURSE Flygon has to be unobtainable in Platinum.
GSForte013
Well I guess the only way to find out would be to actually do it yourself. Seems simple enough.
Destati
I guess so. I'll post when I have the answer
KazoWAR
For a pokemon to be "yours" your SID/ID OT name and gender must match its SID/ID OT name and OT gender, other wise it counts it as you go it in a trade.
