mrmikeryan Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) Looks like the upcoming JP Shiny Kyogre and Groudon events will be by serial code, so only JP 3DS will be able to obtain them? Is this the first official shiny events for these 2 pokemon? I think it a 'yes' to both questions, but I just wanted to confirm. Thanks to all! Edited December 14, 2017 by mrmikeryan 1
FalseSwipe Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Serial code = region exclusive, yes. It is the first explicitly shiny distribution for both Groudon and Kyogre, yes. Note that they were both possibly shiny during the BW Super Strong Pokémon Campaign (PC Fukouka), though they'd be extremely rare.
theSLAYER Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Actually it's been confirmed that it's distributed at Pokemon Centers (probably via local wireless), game exclusive. https://mobile.twitter.com/SerebiiNet/status/941308969389383680 @argus1963 will you be able to go? :3

I assumed these were also taking place at PCs (among other locations) and not via local wireless. At any rate, the details are slim. 1
theSLAYER Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Well, it wouldn't be the first time they've ran serial code and local wireless events within close proximity. best examples would be the anime pokes (vulpix/turtonator/steenee) and movie pokes (mew/lucario/charizard/piplup) 2
