pokejed
I am trying to load pokemon from the distant lands collection and some other gen 3 pokemon into my leaf green save and I keep on getting this error. I don't understand why this is happening as all the pokemon that i'm trying to load are from gen 3 games and events. Please help.

The Pokemon could have been pal parked, so it's in Gen 4 format.
BlackShark
PKHeX only supports official transfer methods. So no backwards conversions. There is pk2pk for this matter https://github.com/kwsch/pk2pk Keep in mind that unofficial transfer methods can never be proper because some missing data has to be guessed. I would suggest looking for PK3 files instead.

Sorry, I forgot that there's no precompiled build of the latest commits. Older versions didn't allow backwards tranfer. Here's the latest version: pk2pk.zip (Aug 19, 2017) Edited September 11, 2017 by BlackShark attachment removed since it's in the downloads section now

It would have been better if you uploaded it to the downloads page instead with an updated description. Instead of only those transfer methods mentioned in the OP, pk2pk now emulates any official transfer method and fakes non-official methods.
