I am trying to load pokemon from the distant lands collection and some other gen 3 pokemon into my leaf green save and I keep on getting this error.

I don't understand why this is happening as all the pokemon that i'm trying to load are from gen 3 games and events.

Please help.

The Pokemon could have been pal parked, so it's in Gen 4 format.

Sorry what do I do with the pk2pk to get it to work with pkhex? im not familiar with these kinds of files.

- check "Allow Incompatible Transfer (Backwards)"
- choose destination format PK3
- drop the PK4 Pokemon files onto the exe
- they will be exported as PK3 into the folder of the original files
- import them into PKHeX

@pokejed you can find the program on this page:

I cant find any option to - check "Allow Incompatible Transfer (Backwards)" when using that program though.

Sorry, I forgot that there's no precompiled build of the latest commits. Older versions didn't allow backwards tranfer.

Here's the latest version: pk2pk.zip (Aug 19, 2017)

Ill update the pk2pk OP, thanks @BlackShark !

It would have been better if you uploaded it to the downloads page instead with an updated description. Instead of only those transfer methods mentioned in the OP, pk2pk now emulates any official transfer method and fakes non-official methods.
