ZMaster Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 hey guys, lugia hereI must ask, lately their has been this "PID" thing that has come into the pokesav, can someone please explain this to me? PID is a number generated based on the Pokemon's Gender, Nature, and IVs as far as I know. If you just click the 'Generate', the pokemon is not legal. If you use the 'PID/IV', it will make a legit PID for your pokemon. Or, you can always check the main site <_< http://projectpokemon.org/editingresearch/pokesavpidivgen.php

ZMaster Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Ok, I understand that, but is a PID for anything? PID is if the pokemon is legal or hacked.
damio Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 PID is if the pokemon is legal or hacked. It also holds the gender, class, shininess and nature.
Lugiamaster Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Ok, but if the PID is wrong, is there any way to tell on the game?
Illithian Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Ok, but if the PID is wrong, is there any way to tell on the game? The new VS Recorder might be able to, but otherwise no. PID = Pokemon ID. Info on IVs, gender, nature, class, shinyness. Bred pokemon can use generated PIDs.
GSForte013 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I think the VS Recorder picks up on either that or hex values; I did mine really poorly and it picked up on one of the two.
Greencat Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 PID is a code (Pokemon ID) that corrosponds to a particular set of IVs, nature and algorithm. That's about the simpliest way it can be put while still understanding it.
Sabresite Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Actually it was originally called the PV or Personality Value. It determined the individual characteristics of the Pokemon. The PV and IVs make up the genetic code of a Pokemon and determine all of its characteristics it was born with.
