Hima Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Last night I recieved an email that someone was apparently trying to break into my account and that after multiple failed attempts at logging in, have been locked out. Please look out everyone and make sure you change your password as I have done. Someone has tried to log into your account on Project Pokémon Forums with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes. The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 183.207.228.3 All the best, Project Pokémon Forums
xorhash Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I can confirm receiving the e-mail for a break-in attempt from the same IP address.
Anty-Lemon Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 ...Oh. This thread is a lot less clueless than I thought it was going to be. Carry on then :U
Eirikr Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I had the same thing happen to me on the 12th of March. The IP address was 117.169.1.221. It apparently originates from the city of Jiaoqiao (Jiangxi) in China. Probably just a bot. Unless your password is really weak they probably will never get in.
Cecillia Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Got an e-mail with ip address 201.217.213.162, my password was weak but they never got in. They are from Colombia and the city Bogotá. It was sent on 25 March
Alpha Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 These are just giant groups of bots. I've done what I can to prevent it and the notices you have all received are an indicator that the forums did in fact stop them in their tracks.
