So, does 0.42 works after you deleted the zip, or is it still crashing? I guess I might not be checking whether a file is actually a directory and not a file.. sigh..

Thank you so much again! But, what do you mean the portraits have 24bpp? Sorry, since I'm new to this and I barely know anything...

24bpp means each pixel references a color with 24 bits (or 3 bytes). 2^24 = 16777216 possible colors per pixel. 4bpp is a lot more restrictive. 2^4 = 16 possible colors per pixel. With Gimp, just use Image -> Mode -> Indexed... -> Generate Optimum Palette for 16 colors. I don't know how to use Photoshop, but I'd imagine there's a similar feature.

Oh, and I couldn't find those extra sprites online anywhere. Thanks for uploading them, I plan on using them in a future mod.

No, thank you for helping me! I also thank psy_commando for helping me too. I finally found the problem, since all the portraits were in RGB mode, when it should have been Indexed. It also was the exact palette, which contained a certain ammount of colors, and I made them be in a mode called Local Adaptable, is that right? Now I'm continuing the step 20 again!

EDIT: I continued step 20, and still the same story. SkyEditor crashed when I pressed Build. Yet, I looked at them to see the ammount of colors, and they still show me that they have 16 colors... Don't know what did I got wrong...

I've published another version of Sky Editor with various minor improvements and some debug output.

3. File -> Save -> Save File. Restarting is optional, but probably not required.

4. Click Output at the bottom, and (optional) click the little pin icon next to the X.

5. Open your project and click Build.

6. If it works, then great. If not, please copy and paste the output into either pastebin or [noparse]

paste stuff here

7. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to disable verbose output if you're going to do anything else. I haven't optimized the output textbox yet, so it will log all console output. It slows the form down, especially when running ndstool.

I'm wondering, is the URL right? Cause it seems it's not working the link for me. When I try to click on it, a new page appears and says: "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE"

Also Antivirus keep telling me it's an dangerous file.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, seems like I don't even think, all what I did it's to deactivate the antivirus. Wow, right now, I'm feeling very dumb.

It's not dangerous, it's just being cautious since it hasn't seen the file before.

Turns out I wasn't looking for errors properly. The latest update should keep the program open if anything fails during build. Just restart Sky Editor and you should get the update. The error message on startup is normal, and shouldn't interfere with anything. I'll look into what causes that later.

Still doesn't work. By restarting the Editor, you mean closing, and opening the Editor? Well, doesn't work.

To make sure you have the latest version, I've published another update. If you don't see "Sky Editor Alpha 4.0.0.6" at the top of the window, try following the setup link again. If you see that, and it still doesn't work, try repacking your Mods/(ModName)/Pokemon/Portraits directory manually with ppmd_kaoutil.exe, so we know which program is failing.

Side note: If you want to edit any ORAS Roms, I've added pk3DS support. Just create a 3DS mod project, give it a decrypted ORAS ROM, create a pk3DS mod, then you can run pk3DS.exe from within Sky Editor.

Can you paste the output again? Since you see "Failed", that means it actually put the error details in the textbox this time, instead of crashing.

1. download this repo as a zip: https://github.com/jmacd/xdelta

2. Extract it, browse to C:\Users\Evan\Downloads\xdelta-master\xdelta3\releases

3. Copy xdelta3-3.0.8.x86-32.exe, paste it in C:\Users\Gustavo\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Data\0DN64G9R.072\WM0QBGC3.QBE\skye..tion_2412c5da0eb810a1_0004.0000_b932373fa05a7500\Data\Plugins\ROM Editor\xdelta\

4. Delete the existing xdelta3.exe

5. Rename xdelta3-3.0.8.x86-32.exe to xdelta3.exe

6. Then try again.

Or you could wait a minute or two for me to upload a small update.

I need to start my own thread. I feel a little bad I hijacked psy_commando's. (On the other hand, this is a GUI for his tool.)

Seems like it isn't working for me. Right now I'm getting really tired. And starting to hate PMD's Buneary... Can you do it, and link the rom back to me, if it's not trouble for you?

I've attached the patcher. It should work on any region Explorers of Sky ROM.

Missing as in you only see the default portrait, or missing as in you don't see a portrait at all?

And was the starter in the personality test changed? I'm trying to get an idea of what did work. I've attached a zip containing Indexed pngs. I'd like you to try again using those, when you have time.

Plus, something, the game is in english. Isn't it possible to change the language?

Try looking in DeSmuMe's settings. PMD's language is set by the language of the console (or which region of the game you have; US and Japan have only English and Japanese, respectively).

Sadly, I don't know how to multiple your quotes, like you did, so I'll go with numbers:

1.Ok, I'll see tomorrow, cause here is night.

2.I don't see any portraits, even the normal one is missing.

2.5.Well, the test personality hasn't changed 100%, since I got a Pikachu first. I was very upset, so I restarted the rom, and got a Bulbasaur. In game was turned into a Buneary.

3.I now figured how to set desmume in spanish.
