Any ideas on what the easiest way to get parts of this to use in BWOE (BW2)? I need all except running/walking and biking and healing sprites (I already have those). Kaphotics Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 "won't work" is not descriptive enough. Obviously you did it wrong; extract the original sprites, crop the tilemap into the original images, then reinsert the PNGs with N's sprites instead. You need to add the proper palette too.
Kaphotics Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 You need to articulate on "what doesn't work"; just saying it doesn't gets you absolutely nowhere as I'm definitely not going to take the time to describe the entire process so that you find where you messed up. Just showing me sprites does nothing. What do they look like in game? They have to mirror those that already existed (dimension & sprite position).

cpan1 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 An image can only have a max of 16 colors. 1 Background + 15 Others. Find a program that can limit/reduce the # of colors. There are lots of them out there.
Andibad Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 If you editing on photoshop try don't use RGB color, using color table. or you can edit manually on ncgr file and nclr if you want color more than 16.
