Pokemon_player Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 How can I delete sprites on my Pokemon Diamond save file without it permanently affecting my rom?
ReignOfComputer Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Sprites? Could you elaborate on that? Sprites belong to the ROM, not the save.
Pokemon_player Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 Well my game has a few glitches, sprites are where they shouldn't be and it looks the same on every rom I use my extracted save file on, so I believe it is the saved game with the glitch (corrupted data) If I were able to delete the sprites which should not be where they are, my game would be fine. It randomly glitched and sprites stuck on a tile where they shouldn't be. It happened once I reached Hearthome City, Keira is stuck and so is her buneary! I have noticed I am not the only one with this problem, as I found somebody with the exact same problem here:
Pokemon_player Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 If anybody knows how to fix this please post or PM me.
Delta Blast Burn Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) I thing (s)he means clearing the flag in the save that indicates the sprite is present. Edited January 20, 2012 by Delta Blast Burn no period
Pokemon_player Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 I have found the route of this problem. The cause of this problem is the action replay code: 94000130 FCFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004 00000000 20001273 00000000 20001293 00000000 D2000000 00000000 (Rebattle Darkrai) This code causes numerous affects, the one shown in the video where the sprites of Keira and her buneary 'stick' and the other problems are that the Jubilife and Sandgem wi-fi rooms become blocked again. Can anybody tell me/help me with a solution to this issue? Perhaps reversing the problems? Thanks.
Kaphotics Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Mess with the flags the game uses, you mess with how the game runs. Solution(s): Restart the game reroll to a previous save find what those values once were before you changed them and then change them back with another code If I had to blindly guess, I'd try this code before anything (flip the flags) 94000130 FCFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004 00000000 20001273 00000001 20001293 00000001 D2000000 00000000
Pokemon_player Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 I do not have a backup of the save file before the incident, only after.
Pokemon_player Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 How do I reroll to a previous save?
