Sabresite Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 (edited) Due to new information, and Pokemon Secure graciously leaking their NFTs, I have been able to make great progress in event checks. I would also like to thank Twig for getting the information about Mews. In the next version of Legality Checker, the following will be changed/added: MYSTRY Mew will be restricted to a valid SUBSET of "B-A-C-D" seeds. ALL PCJP from 2003 (including STAMP/WISH) Pokes will be restricted to a valid SUBSET of "B-A-C-D" seeds. Negai Boshi Jirachi will be restricted to a valid SUBSET of "B-A-C-D" seeds. PokeBox Pokes will be restricted to a valid SUBSET of "B-A-C-D" seeds. Once the new version is out, please re-check all of your pokemon that fall under these categories. MYSTRY Mew cannot be shiny. Negai Boshi cannot be shiny. As a side note, Ageto Celebi cannot be shiny. Edited June 23, 2013 by Sabresite
DannyB01 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Thanks very much for this Sabresite, those of us still collecting GBA events really appreciate it. By the looks of the post, I'm guessing you've already been given the resources you need for this, but I'll be happy to help if i can - I'll keep an eye out for posts asking for stuff. Thanks again.
Clear Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 If may Saber... if Pokemon bredt from a 3rd Gen game can be tossed around between lots (hundreds) of pre-empt save files to make them hatch shiny. Theoretically, shouldn't it be able to make anything that comes in any egg shiny? Or is there something preventing it be shiny in the first place? EDIT: also, can I take it from you now that you have confirmed that all PCJP and Wish NYPC are now under B-A-C-D, which is Common GBA Event (Restricted) PIDs? cause there is a Wishbliss being toss'd around right for the past few months now, and I would need to know. Are the above mentioned in their own category like JEREMY Pokemon? or just regular GBA events? Thank you for all your help, by the way. The community appreciates your hard work.
DannyB01 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) By the way I'm pretty sure PCNY Wish egg's were not B-A-C-D, that was PCJP Wish eggs. I'm probably missing something here but I'll pm you just in case. Edit: @Clear - only PCJP03 is CGU, not PCJP04 or pokepark05. I think this PCNY Wish thing is up for debate, but they're not CGR/U. Edited March 4, 2011 by DannyB01
Sabresite Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 I can see that it is not clear. I will clear everything up and edit the post as soon as possible. Until then, everyone please sit tight.
Sabresite Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) I updated some information. I was speaking specifically about PCJP 2003. I do NOT have RELIABLE PCJP 2004 to dive upon, and since most secure members have only one set, I cannot comment on that algorithm yet. As for PokeBox, and WISH from Japan. I am pretty sure they all use a combination of specific GCU/GCR seeds. Regarding Gold Ursaring, the widely distributed METS Farfetch'd is NOT his. He received it from a friend (who betrayed him and released it to other people, go figure), and in fact, the one that most people have is one of two modified versions of it. His PERSONAL farfetch'd is still an egg in his GBA game. If someone can convince GU to provide the PID/IV of his farfetch'd in his egg, that would be definitive. So the dispute is: ABDE or BACD. Anyone have any first-hand information? Edited March 4, 2011 by Sabresite
ShinySephiroth Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 It just seems to me more and more some of us are clinging to events in our collections that may not stand the test of time.
Sabresite Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 I am not going to point fingers, because these people know who they are. I would just like to point out that it makes certain innocent people look bad, and its a reminder of the wonderful communities we have. This also makes MY job much more difficult. Someone sent me their pokemon ingest and asked me to check it. I picked one pokemon at random from their fairly large list and used the OLD legality checker and noticed it looked familiar. Here is a screenshot. The one on top is obviously the hack, and that makes the one on the bottom suspicious as well. Both of these Pokemon came from the same community. I am not going to generalize, but it really does damper things.

I apologize for not responding. The pokemon listed above (I removed PCNY WISH pokes for now since it seems NOBODY has reliable pokes) all conform to B-A-C-D both GCU and GCR. However of those two algorithms, it is only a small fraction that are legal seeds. Also please keep in mind that 3rd generation eggs could not be traded. Therefore if you received an egg from an event and it has an origination seed, then its most likely NOT possible to get a shiny. So if you ripped out your egg and put it into a different save, or changed the TID/SID to match the egg, then the egg is no longer legit or legal. Edited March 4, 2011 by Sabresite
DannyB01 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Cool I'm back, I think that your post with the two legal shots actually is wrong. If you look at the 56452 Ralts, it has invalid trash is because it is HGSS pal park (check 86h HH = 04) - I'm pretty sure there's no reason to think it's hacked from the screenshot you've uploaded. I'm not sure where you got the other ralts from, but it looks like it must be an edit. I'm pretty confident the 56452 set is legit because I know the source. Unfortunately it's somehow been spread around so only the pokepark05 56452s are rare any more. I'll ask the people i know about their PCNY Wish for you, though all the ones I've heard of are ABDE and definitely not BACD - and that's not from judging any of the ones in circulation right now. I'm not sure how to send events to you, as I can send you a PCJP04 batch of files I'd rather was only used for research purposes if that's ok. With a little luck I can get my friend to extract a bunch of pokebox from her actual pokebox game in time for this for research, but I'm not sure if she's still playing it. Otherwise I have a bunch of pokebox that appear legit and are shiny which sound like they could be of some use.
Sabresite Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 First off, that screenshot contains PCJP 2003 pokemon from two separate people. From the screenshot it is obvious that at least one was modified, if not both. I was not looking at the trash bytes and instead looking at the fact that they have the same PID/IVs. My point being that this is the type of thing that makes research difficult. The origination seed ENSURES that there is a 0.000763% chance of duplication. Even for events that are strictly GCR, there is a 0.0000153% chance of duplication. If anyone would like to send me events for research (I do not distribute/share these), then please email them to me. Sabresite [a@t] projectpokemon [d0t] org. PCJP 2004 and PCNY Wish may follow A-B-D-E, but its really difficult to say because I see quite a few A-B-C-D, and B-A-C-D as well. If someone can get a hold of GU and ask him to hatch his farfetch'd, or send the PID/IV then I can confirm it. EDIT: I also fixed the wording of my note in red on the first post. It was 1am
DarkSteel Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 probably the PCJP 2003 egg was cloned or its bad hack
Sabresite Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 That is obvious. I am interested in seeing actual PCJP 2004 and WISH PCNY pokes. I have spoken with many people and the usage of A-B-D-E is HIGHLY unusual for event Pokemon. And since even pokemon that gold ursaring got are second hand, I am not wholly convinced without more evidence.
DannyB01 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Ah I guess I missed your point, in fact i understand a bit better now. I think either the 61035 ralts has either been edited for ID/SID/OT in gen 3 and then pal parked or it's just been modified and run through trash.exe or something. I do, however, believe that there are legit 56452 sets as i've got pokebox/pcjp/pokepark sets and they all look good to me and are from a reliable source. I am currently trying to get my friend to pal park some wish from his gba sav just for the purposes of working out what the PID type is, I haven't ever seen BACD which people consider legit and I'm sceptical of it. The most reliable Wish I've ever seen have been ABDE, but I guess you can't just take my word for it. Unfortunately the person I know with the most legit WISH gba saves is away right now, however I'm trying to contact him anyway. We'd already discussed the PID type of wish before and some things he said made me think they can't even be ABCD which is what many people think is possible right now, and i know it's still considered a possibility. Hopefully more people who know lots more will start speaking up soon!
Sabresite Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 PCJP2004 and PCNY Wish are the only pokes that were transmitted wirelessly. I suppose if the Pokemon was generated in the GBA game, similar to a gen 4 mystery gift, then it would possibly (yet need to be confirmed) conform to ABCD, ABCE, ABCF, ABDE, ABDF, and ABEF, with respective increasing rarity. This would also indicate that the vast majority of the pokes would be A-B-C-D, and not A-B-D-E. If the Pokemon was direct downloaded wirelessly, then it would be something else. I know there were mystery gifts in gen 3, but I don't know anything about them. I am also not sure if they were wireless...
DannyB01 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Hmm that is a possibility actuallly, I think both were wireless distributions and so should only have been available to FR/LG. PCNY Wish certainly was wireless, and I expect as the PCJP04 were practically an equivalent it'd be the same, actually I'm looking over old conversations and I've been told that PCJP04 and PCNY Wish use identical algorithms and were both FR/LG only due to being wireless. The person who told me all that actually claims that they can only be ABDE. I'm going to send you a batch of files now you may find useful. If I get permission i may be able to send another PCJP03 set but I'm not sure. Unfortunately I don't for the moment have any wish i can send you, but considering they should use the same algorithm as PCJP04 I hope that's ok.
pkmz Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Dann,y the 61035 Set is Mine. It's not an edit. I own the save file both pokemon came from. The eggs were traded amongst save files. Which were originally leaked by Michelle SG. Also, Sabre I sent you the save file. I also have WISH from a guy DarkDragonite and I used to trade with, who also had PCNY Weeks pokemon and Bryant park he obtained him self. I have these. Sabresite Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Pkmz, im sorry for exposing that particular pokemon you sent me, but I used that as an example of how a legit pokemon could be used in a way that produces hacks, and/or screws up research. In this case the egg was "hatched" by multiple people, or possibly cloned. Any and all pokemon sent would be great. The name dark dragonite sounds familiar...
pkmz Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 He provided my unowns to you for research if you remember correctly. I also have saves of BerryFix. Not exposing me, I made great contacts and obtained a lot of stuff as far as files go. I know what is legit and isn't. I don't trade with -random- people and people I do trade with I try and get the origins of the files.
DannyB01 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Sorry for getting your poke confused pkmz! Actually I was hoping you'd post, can't think of anyone around right now which would have better resources for this!
Sabresite Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 I believe pokepark (aka PCJP 2005?) are all GCR. Thank you for the information and when I get time I will look over the PCJP 2004.
DannyB01 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I believe that's correct, all the sets I have seen have been.
Sabresite Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Thank you pkmz. I went over the GBA save file and they are all A-B-D-E. I hope to hear from others because I am inclined to believe that A-B-C-D and the B-A- series were not used. What gets me is why they use that algorithm... its inconsistent with everything else released.
DannyB01 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Possibly the wireless distribution? Seems like the two events that were distributed wirelessly have the same weird PID type, doubt that's a coincidence.
