About This File

This event was distributed to those who purchased a 20th Anniversary Pokemon Clear 2DS (Red/Blue/Green/Yellow) from Japan,
that came bundled with a collection ticket see screenshot area.
The device also comes with a code card for a Serial Code for Mew, a code card for the respective theme, themed stickers , and pre-loaded with the Virtual Console title.
(The event is received in real life between March 19 to May 8, 2016. It can have any date on the PK7, due to transporter applying a date whenever it is transferred.)

The ticket would have to be taken to a participating Pokemon Center in Japan, in order to receive the Mew via trade.

As the DVs (Gen I IVs) are distributed with 15 in every slot,
it is not possible to obtain this as a Shiny when transferred normally through Pokemon Transporter.

This PK1 file will only be compatible with JPN version of the game.

A pk1 and pk7 is provided.

if you have access to save editing, such as PKHeX, drag either file into the relevant saves.

if you don't have access to save editing, read our threads regarding how to do so.

Just a question

As mentioned in above, it should have all IV as 15.

However, when I loaded it into my sun game(pk7), it has 5 IV as 31 except HP as 3

I still guess it is legit as you put it here, but it is just a bit confusing for user.

Is it become something like that due to some conversion from gen1 to gen7?

Poketransporter ignores Gen I DVs. (except for shiny determination)
Even if you had a Pokemon with all 15 DVs in Gen I, a Pokemon will only have 3 guaranteed IVs with 31 (placement random), and the rest being random.

GF Mew is a special case, tho.
It'll have 5 guaranteed IVs of 31, and the remainder being random.
(which is what you experienced)

read about it here:

Without save editing you will have to trade with someone or use ACE. I think trading on VC works.

Pretty much that,a flash card,or hacking.

Oh well.

@Sabresite

Thank you. ;)

First of all, a big thanks to the OP and their friend for providing this file to us!

This is my first time trying something like this, and I ran into an issue. After opening the PK1 file in PKHeX, I got the error message: 'Invalid Pokémon: HOME transfer tracker is missing.' Should I just ignore this error and proceed to add Mew to my Japanese Pokémon Red save file?

Also, is there anything I need to do to ensure legality when transferring it to my Pokémon Bank?

Thanks in advance!

You can't legally import it directly to Gen8+. Read up on what HOME trackers are.

I see, so basically this mew copy from virtual console japanese version will never be a legit one due to the core structure of home trackers?

Could you possibly elaborate on the issues cause i'm still clueless and tbh english wasn't my native language. Sorry for the trouble :')

P/S: Is it the same for all event pokemons that came from gen3 to gen 7?

Read about HOME Trackers here: https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/56296-read-home-tracker-value/

Mew from VC is transferred from Gen1/2 to Gen7 via Bank, then it is transferred to Gen8+ using HOME, which it then gets a Tracker. As I previously mentioned, you cannot legally import it into Gen8+, which leaves Gen1/2 and Gen7 as your only legal options.

Basically, my Mew is going to be assigned a tracker after it gets imported into Pokémon HOME from Pokémon Bank.

From what I understand, it will be assigned an important substructure from SWSH after I transfer it into Pokémon HOME, right? :')

Thanks for the explanation about Gen 1/2 and Gen 7!

Edited: I checked pk1 file and found out that the mew were a level 100, is it meant to be that level instead of 5? :')

Yes it gets assigned a HOME tracker

To be precise, its current data gets translated into the Core data and SWSH data. Then its original data is deleted. (AFAIK gets archived in the logs, but for all intents and purposes it doesn’t exist for the player anymore).

After it gets a HOME tracker, if you try to modify the immutables on the Mew and use it with HOME, it will likely get rejected by HOME.
