What? Moses never claimed himself to be God. Ever. He was only following God... and never said anything about him being God himself. Maybe you ought to read more about Moses... or should I tell you?

The only person I know who claimed to be God was King Herod... but God of course punished him by having WORMS eat him up publicly when he said that.

The most famous fallen angel you may know of is Lucifer...

No... Moses was HUMAN. Fallen angels = angels who have become corrupted. Angels and humans are two different beings.

Fallen angels? They already have been kicked out. Of course God still has loyalist angels with him. Apparently, the fallen are 1/3 of the total number of angels... if the symbolism in Revelations refers to that... and the number of angels are numerous. They are ethereal beings and are in different dimensions. Fallen angels... you know them as demons/devils/and whatnot. And contrary to standard beliefs, they do NOT live in hell. The scary thing about them? They ROAM on EARTH (which is why you see all these bad things happening and explains all sorts of unnatural things... but of course those EMPIRICISTS wouldn't admit anything that is supernatural due to their HUGE reliability on SENSES not REASON). And they can enter heaven anytime and talk with God apparently... odd but true. Since humans are so predictable to them they have the capability to deceive us very easily. And of course, they can take forms of regular good angels...

Interestingly, the Mesopotamians had a very bleak vision of the afterlife... they called it the house of darkness... with nothing but dust to eat... and you can see nothing. The Mesopotamians were very religious actually... it's evidenced through their ziggurats and their votive statues. Some of their tales have men attempting to get eternal life (due to not wanting to die and go to afterlife but live as long as possible on Earth)... like Gilgamesh (I believe he is the Biblical Nimrod) but he would not attain it... ever.

Nah, there was always one God. People started defecting from that one God and made their own idols. For example, Shang-Di was the one God that the Chinese worshiped from long ago. The Emperor would always make annual offering to the Heavenly Emperor Shang Di. But like any other groups of people, they started forgetting about the one God that they worshiped and began worshiping their own gods which they made. Are those figures made up? Possibly... but I believe they're lesser "gods", well, not gods, because there can only be one absolute, which is... God. Those polytheistic gods are fallen angels masquerading as gods of some sort, because after all, angels are supernatural beings as well, so they may have aspects that seem oh-so-divine or else they would have no reason to believe in them. Their task? To try to divert the people from the real God, and scarily, they're succeeding.

Correct. Mesopotamia means the "land between two rivers" in Greek...

The thing about Mesopotamians is that they had a very bleak view of the afterlife and the gods unlike the Egyptians, who sought their deities' blessings. This is mostly due to their rivers. While Nile was the source of life, the Tigris and Euphrates were destructive and wreaked havoc...

The deal with the Romans... the Jewish prophet Daniel predicted four empires... the Mesopotamians (specifically the Babylonians and the Persians I suppose), the Egyptians, the Greeks, and the Romans through an imagery of a giant statue that the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of. I believe the fourth empire (Romans) hasn't fallen yet... just fragmented. Look at the US for example... it's indeed the new Rome. Rome did sack many places... and conquered the whole Mediterranean. One of their enemies were the Carthagians... and their general Hannibal. Know about him? The Romans are quite interesting... they take elements a LOT from the Greeks.

Akhenaten's deal... what I think is... he was just like the other pharaohs and would believe in the Egyptian gods, but it was when Moses showed up in his life and he escaped with the Hebrews he began to realize... perhaps Moses's God is the right one. So he started forming monotheistic beliefs. I don't know... it seems to make more sense to me because Akhenaten is the only Pharaoh I know of who was known for religious reformation. Plus... Moses would return to Egypt from Midian when he was 80... and God told Moses to come back to Egypt when "all the people who wanted him dead" were dead themselves (Thutmose III anyone?). It could be possible Thutmose III did not like the relationship Moses (Senenmut? the name literally means mother's brother) had with the "pharaoh's daughter" (Hatshepsut?).

Speak with God... that'd be great. Too bad though, I don't think God was too fond of the Egyptians. Most likely than not, the Egyptians would all be in the worst place possible <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

[stupid 1000 character limit]

The Greeks fought among themselves so much and eventually Thebes (not to be confused with Thebes of Egypt), another city state of Greece defeated the Spartans. This weakened the Greeks so much they fell under a Macedonian... the one we know as Alexander the Great, who brought in the Hellenistic Period (mixture of Greek/Egyptian/Persian/Indian culture). And you should know that Cleopatra was not Egyptian at all. She was actually Greek... and the granddaughter of one of Alexander's generals (the one who ruled Egypt obviously).

And that's fine... I don't expect you to know SO many things <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well, now you know. The Spartans were part of Greece... but the funny thing is, Greece was never united then and was not even known as Greece. Due to its mountainous terrain, they were all just city states (not exactly city states but that's the best I can describe them as). During the Peloponnese War the barbaric Spartans allied with the democratic Athens against the Persians. Of course, afterwards the Athenians were like "we'll be leaders, you guys are under our supreme leadership"... so the Spartans got angry and even allied with the Persians to take the Athenians down, including their great leader Pericles of Athens.

Pericles... that guy was brilliant... SO brilliant that he'd gather everyone in the city at the gate and would all die of overcrowding and rapid disease spreading... yes, even Pericles died himself. >.>

That's fun. Savor your childhood while you can. There will be a time you will MISS everything... and would KILL just to get it all back...

Sparta = Greece, not Rome.

I'm into old civilizations in general... and especially in love with Medieval Europe.

To tell you the truth, ANYTHING is better than now, that's just my opinion.

And you're 12? Wow... but you're pretty intelligent for a 12 year old. Most people here would have no idea what you were talking about just now. In fact, adults always think they're right... even if they're flat out wrong.

-

Aw come on... I'm sure you have something more intelligent to say than that ><img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm stuck in my dormitory and these idiots I live with are stuffing themselves with beer and getting high on bad stuff. I need someone to talk with to maintain my sanity... about something as intelligent as this <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue.png" alt=":P" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The Cadillac line though somewhat reminds me of Anthony's Song by Billy Joel...

The scary thing about the Great Pyramid: no one would dare put the cornerstone in its place. It's missing the top stone. And the fact it is PERFECTLY geometric... and it is like at the center of the Earth's coordinates... don't you find that intriguing?

The other pyramids were modeled after the Great Pyramid... but none were as great. They were modeled after the "Ben-Ben" shape, which is the emblem of the Egyptian sun god Ra. But.. I don't believe Cheops/Khufu were followers of Ra or the Egyptian religion. Like I said, the people who made the Great Pyramid were of an entirely different race.

-

Khufu = Cheops. It's just what he is also known as. I learned his name as Cheops.

It's entirely possible King Tut is the firstborn of Akhenaten... and remember the last plague from Moses... the death of the firstborn? Only recently did we find out Tutankhamen died of malaria and stuff like broken bones... and the one thing about his tomb? He is famous for not being raided... and plus how people who discovered him all "got cursed" and died soon after. The tomb he was buried in was not fit for a king, which makes me wonder...

-

And the Great Pyramid? Excellent question. Whoever it was, it was not the Egyptians. The Jewish historian Josephus says it was a bunch of shepherds. I can't pick names and whatnot, but it is associated with the "Pharaoh Cheops"... but Cheops is a mysterious guy. Who could he be?

-

Not necessarily. Hatshepsut was depicted as a man in many statues, which all even inscribed "His Majesty". Thutmose III is believed to have a strained relationship with his mother.

Speak of the devil... I had a presentation too. But it's some dumb paper written by a High Priest of the Church of Evolution Stephen Jay Gould and one of his lackeys about adaptationist approaches and non-adaptationist approaches. That was fun <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep.png" alt="-_-" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I'm not exactly a people person so I am no good at presentation... and it's something I'm deeply opposed to. LOL, believe me, go to this class and you're pretty much forced to deify Chuckie D (Charles Darwin) and swear allegiance to his ideas. Mhh... whatever. And how are you failing class? Which subject would it be?

I just woke up from a nap after I passed out. No clue about what happened.

Ugh, these idiots outside my suite are loud... I hope they're not throwing another party.

I personally don't care for a social life, but great to know you're getting on fine. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I had two exams this week... on the same day back to back when it wasn't supposed to be like that. Snow days do that to you.

Well, she didn't mysteriously disappear. Her son Thutmose III apparently didn't like her so he tried to remove all of her records.
