  1. You are using a gen 9 save. TSVs only matter for gen 3-7. For gen 9, all nonshiny eggs will never hatch shiny for everyone and all shiny eggs will hatch shiny for everyone.

Iron Treads is impossible to catch in Scarlet version but shows as legal in PKHeX version 20221218. No major changes were made in this Iron Treads.

Not sure where to post this, but can you fix sprite for Level Ball? The right one is more yellowish. 24px-Bag_Level_Ball_SV_Sprite.png

Any plans for a dark mode?

Iron Treads and every other Paradox can be caught in the opposite versions using the Union Circle.

Dude whats the point of tellling if you don't want too trade or make it accessible, and I really don't want much just Buizel.

You won't be finding Buizel, I think I'm the only person in the western community that has it. Our article lists all of the documented winners, most of whom are Japanese Twitter users who only trade uncloned. And it would be better if you don't message them unless they offer it for trade, as I'm sure they've gotten many trade requests already and consequently deleted their tweets/accounts.

The V Jump / PokeTimes distributions aren't hosted on this site because they don't come from wondercards, they're regular bred/caught in-game Pokemon from official media accounts. The Dedenne is much easier to find, a few of my friends listed in the article as being documented winners trade it out cloned.

  4. I'm not able to test trading it online, but maybe fixing small errors on your file can make it tradeable. Wild shiny Pokemon in SV can only have PIDs with XOR = 0 or XOR = 1, so you might want to change your PID and find a value that fits. Also try using 1 ribbon/mark at a time to see which of those trade and which won't.

  5. What generation are you asking about? This is caused by the marking symbols in the OT/Misc Tab and it happens if you renamed a pk7 to a pk6. Generation 7 introduced pink symbols in the marking tab which gen 6 doesn't have, so if a pk7 had any pink markings it needs to be changed before you rename it to a pk6.

Not able to replicate. They're in the encounter database with fixed OT names and PID types.

I can replicate it. This is a self-obtained egg. Are you loading into a Box save file?

Edit: I found the error. The Encounter Database is loading the wrong moveset order. It's currently loading Tackle and then Growl, but all of my eggs say Growl and then Tackle. Serebii's moveset order says the same thing.

Hello ICanSnake, thank you for the detailed explanation. I appreciate it!

I would like to double check with you on which part of the decimal has to be divisible by 100? The whole number, the beginning of the first three digit, or the last three digit? Let’s keep using the example you provided: (3FA357BC = 1067669436) and (3FA35798 = 1067669400).

Also, if 3FA35798 is 100%, couldn’t we use this as a universal code for both Maushold / Dudunsparce?

The whole number has to be divisible by 100 (Kaphotics explains this as %100 which is modulus 100), but because it's 100 and not any other number, the last 2 numbers of the decimal need to be 00.

Preferably you should be rerolling your Encryption Constant for each gen you make. I haven't tried with Maushold but I don't see why that shouldn't work.

Hello Coolbond, I am trying to figure this out as well for both Maushold / Dudunsparce. Could you please help me out by explaining on how to do the encryption constant divisible by 100? I don't understand how this work and how it will guarantee the 100% evolution.  Thank you in advance!

Would you also know how in the latest update of Pkhex "Fixed: Maushold / Dudunsparce %100 evolution calc fixed (From %25)" works?

The easiest way is to copy your Encryption Constant into a website that converts hexadecimal to decimal. I use this site: https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-decimal.html

You will need to make sure the decimal result is divisible by 100, so add/subtract the correct amount from the decimal to make it 100. For example, my Two-Segment Dudunsparce had a decimal that ended in 302 and its last two hex values were A6, so to get a Three-Segment divisible by 100, I just had to subtract 2 from the hex so my Encryption Constant would end in A4. Another example, a random hex number you could start with as an Encryption Constant 3FA357BC, converting this into decimal makes this end in 436. So you subtract 36 from the decimal (aka subtracting 24 from its hex value), so the new Encryption Constant will be 3FA35798.

  9. The error tells you how to fix it, it's pretty clear as well. Battle Version means that something that doesn't come from that game is allowed to be in ranked battles.

  10. I have the same problem as two posters above with Yungoos caught in Inlet Grotto showing up as unable to match encounter from origin game. My game version is Violet. Changing it to level 3 legalizes it, so it might be a problem with level 2 spawns.

Paldea Tauros with an Intense Mark caught in "East Province (Area One) (1)" and Rolycoly with an Uncommon Mark caught in East Province (Area Three) showing up as invalid marks. It seems like Rolycoly might be getting indexed to East Province (Area Two) which doesn't look like a correct spawn location according to Serebii.

  11. Shin Shinx and the rest of the Shinx were distributed between March 28 to April 3, 2009 as said on Bulbapedia. The met date on the Shinx are all March 17, 2009 because they were all prepared beforehand.

One of my focuses for research are the GTS 2009 events, more information on my research is helped by a friend and posted as an article on his site.

  12. Yep, that is the cloning method I use for BDSP and it works perfectly. The only requirement for banning clones is that it needs to be the only one in your game at the time. If you trade, you don't have it anymore, but you can reload a backup save where you still have it and the backup save hasn't realized it's been traded yet and it's still tradeable. It does count as cloning, but since it's tradeable many people wouldn't know it's cloned.

Thanks. Where's the event gallery ? I checked the encounter database/mystery gift database but couldn't find anything, couldn't find it either on the website. Do you have a link ?

Here are many Cacturnes I donated thanks to the help of one of my contacts.

    https://github.com/projectpokemon/EventsGallery/tree/master/Released/Gen 3/ENG/Pokémon Center New York/Monster Week

In the folder labeled "Post-event redemptions" are Cacturnes that were generated from the official hardware but did not come from the event location/years.

  14. If you're trying to recreate a PCNY event, please don't. Just use the public ones that are hosted on the event gallery.

Normally, to fix incorrectly transferred from previous generation errors, you would click on the Latest (not OT) Handler box to make it green, but it shows you did that in the OP. Remember that anything transferred through Home into gen 8 must have a Home Tracker value, that could be an issue. But from the pictures we can't see if this specific Cacturne has an illegal flag or not, so it could be simply a matter of setting it back into the box.

  15. The second pa8 shows an error flag, you might not have seen it normally but to see this hold Control and Right Click on the Cleffa to see what is causing the error. The normal way of checking the error flag won't work because PKHeX autofixes minor details before determining legality, but Control + Right Click bypasses the autofix. In this case it says the Height and Weight values don't match, so you should just be able to Set it again and resave the pa8 to trade to the bot.

Oh sorry, I missed that part about the trade.

Well the thing is, the upside is that the Shellder matches the correlation of an in-game mon, so it *could* potentially be a Jeremy mon.
But the downside is, given it matches the correlation of an in-game mon, anyone could have caught a Shellder that matches the known details, then just swapped on the correct OT, TID, SID.

So it's usually a good sign if it's a Jeremy mon that matched the details + was on a site/link like, for the past 10-15 years.

I haven't seen this thread before, but I have a question. All the uploads in the OP have a friendship value of 0... Isn't that concerning? Despite the suspicious maximum contest stats in each field for every upload as well, I'm pretty sure all Pokemon are supposed to be caught with their default base happiness/friendship value. I have a feeling these were all modified...

  17. This isn't a valid save file. The file size should be 512 KB, not 512 bytes. I'm not sure what went wrong with the way you extracted it, but are you able to try a different method? Personally I use TWL Save Tool to extract gen 4 saves.

If you find your correct 512 KB size save file and it still doesn't load into PKHeX, I recommend opening them up in a hex editor and finding your main save file (between 0x000000 and 0x00E000) or your backup save file (between 0x00E000 and 0x01C000) and either switching them around or copying them into a known working save file. This will allow you to see if the backup save still works in your current save file, or if you place them into a new save file you can see if either of your saves work.
