Out there in the wild, exists a German Language Debugger's/Developer's Edition of Pokemon Ruby Version, which contains many debugging tools, including Mystery Event distribution subroutines. Using the Mimic e-Card option in the Test Menu, the game emulates receiving an Eon Ticket, which is notably different from the standard one players get from an official distribution. [We will not distribute the Debug Ruby Rom, and it is against our rules to ask for it]

This gift was distributed to players who attended the Party of the Decade at Bryant Park, New York, back in 2006, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Pokémon (based on the original Japanese release). While this gift is similar to the Journey Across America version, with the Original Trainer being 10 ANIV, the Trainer ID is 06808 (signifying the event date 2006 August 8.) instead of the TID of 00010.

The Pokémon Battle e are e-Reader cards that utilized the e-Reader compatibility of the main series games, to give players extra content beyond the ones programmed into the games. They can be obtained as promos or from booster packs. Examples of various English e-Reader cards can be seen here. These are the sets that are presently in the set: 1. Pokémon Battle e: Series 1 (08-A001 to 08-A048) 2. Pokémon Battle e: Series 2 (08-B001 to 08-B048) 3. Pokémon Battle e: Series Promo cards 08-N001 to 08-N008 4. Pokémon Battle e: Series Promo cards 08-P001 to 08-P008 Credits to @atrocity3010 for obtaining this rare Promo card 08-P008 These e-Card trainers can be injected using @suloku's tool or @BlackShark's tool.

For Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the paired games had an exclusive feature that allowed them to scan e-Reader Cards and obtain a special berry. Pokémon holding these berries were not allowed to be traded to other main series games. Pokémon holding these berries were also not allowed to be traded to Colosseum or XD, nor transferred to Pokémon Box: Ruby and Sapphire. Once you scanned the e-reader card (or injected the berry card data), you can collect the berry from Norman in Petalburg City Gym. Pokémon holding these berries were allowed to be Pal Parked into Generation IV, however their held item would become the Enigma Berry. In Generation III, there is no legitimate way to acquire the Enigma Berry, as it is merely a placeholder in those games. Additionally, the data for these e-Card Berries do not exist in the ROM data of the Gen III games; the e-Card data is loaded into the save, and the game uses the placeholder Enigma Berry to display the stored data. So in reality, the player is merely holding onto the Enigma Berry, but the player would not know, as the data shown belongs to the e-card Berry scanned. These e-Card berries can be injected using @suloku's tool.

In Pokémon Colosseum, players are given the バトルやま Ho-Oh after they complete the 100 Battle Challenge! Other conditions include snagging and purifying all 48 Shadow Pokémon, and using a team only from the story mode, in the Battle Mode. More Colosseum and XD Pokémon can be found at this page.

In the year 2003, various Pokémon were distributed as eggs with special moves, where in that particular generation or games, they normally have no access to those moves. Additionally, Pichu eggs were distributed with a 5% shiny chance for the trainer directly receiving the event. Anyhow, if the egg was traded to a different trainer before hatching, there is a chance of the resulting Pokémon hatched being shiny (and consequently, a shiny egg could become non-shiny when such a trade occurs, as per any other egg).
