This gift was distributed to players via a serial code for purchasing the Pokémon Collecting Guide. Using the Dynamax Crystal would allow the Pokémon to appear at the Watchtower Lair's Den as a max raid. To be able to use the items associated with the event, including injecting items into the save and getting it to work, the player's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period. Alternatively the player must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period. Despite the encounter details being programmed for both versions of the games, this Stonjouner Dynamax Crystal can only be received by Pokémon Shield. In order for the item to functions, players would need to have at least Wild Area Event #12 downloaded into the save. (When collecting a Mystery Gift, a copy of the Wild Area News is downloaded to the save) As of LGPE, wonder cards are no longer stored in saves. As such, players will not be able to inject this event into their save using PKHeX. This event was distributed to players at the New York Pokémon Center: Gotta catch 'em all! Station, and the machine were distribuing various PCNY Pokémon across the period of November 22, 2001 to March 13, 2003. The schedule of Pokemon changes weekly, and players were restricted to collecting one Pokemon per week per visit, and the restriction was enforced by the distribution machine; it checks for data stored in the Gen 2 save itself. It appears that the data stored is the header/title, which is checked against the distribution data. This Ho-Oh has a 0.5% chance of occurring, and was always distributed as shiny. A more comprehensive schedule list can be seen here. The dates for distribution was: November 15 to 21, 2002 December 6 to 12, 2002 A more comprehensive schedule list can be seen here. DUE TO HAVING AN EVENT LOCATION, THIS POKEMON WILL NOT BE LEGAL WITH ANY VIRTUAL CONSOLE RELEASE (AND BY EXTENSION, CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO GEN 7 AND ONWARDS). If you want more Shiny Ho-Oh, or various other PCNY mons, @Deoxyz has compiled a save containing mons received from the PCNY distribution machine here. If you want to learn move information, check out these videos. [1][2][Q&A vid] -

This is a wild area event held by Sword and Shield. This event raid allows players to obtain the Gigantamax Toxtricity that is not obtainable in the base game. This also marks the first time the Kanto Starters and Mewtwo have appeared in raids for Sword and Shield, though Mewtwo was programmed to be uncatchable. Grimmsnarl and Kingler were Sword exclusive raids, and Hatterene and Orbeetle were Shield exclusive raids. Though it is important to note, that the host can invite players of the opposite version to join in the raids. To import these files into your save, use PKHeX's block importing function.
