  1. PK3/WC3: Unreleased Altering Cave Pokémon

In Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen & Emerald, lies a cave named the Altering Cave.
At first glance, all it has are wild Zubat, which makes me people ask "why the heck does this cave even exist to begin with".
As it turns out, there is more to this cave than it meets the eye.
This cave was programmed to make use of special Mystery Gifts, that would allow the wild Pokémon species that appears to be altered.
Sadly, this game feature never had an event to make use of it.

Following it's initial release in Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen, all the Pokémon that could have been caught from here,
could also be encountered in the extended Safari Zone of Pokémon Emerald.
(with the exception of Smeargle: it can be caught in Artisan cave in Battle Frontier)
Despite these Pokémon all being available in Pokémon Emerald, it's not known why this cave was also included for it.
This page hosts the Pokémon that can be encountered in an altered Altering Cave, as well as other means to get them to appear.

    New update!
This page also holds a custom wonder card, that can be used to cycle through the encounters of Altering Cave, whenever you talk to the deliveryman!
Take note: if you toss/remove the wonder card, the encounters in Altering Cave will be stuck at the last species encountered.
Also note: FireRed/LeafGreen & Emerald have their own wonder cards. FRLG cannot use Emerald wonder card and vice versa.

The encounters that get cycled are (and it wraps back to the start):
Zubat, Mareep, Pineco, Houndour, Teddiursa, Aipom, Shuckle, Stantler, Smeargle.
    International
    Wonder Card
    (ENG FRE GER ITA SPA)
    Card is English language,
    but works on the
    languages listed.
    Japanese
Wonder Card (Hint: You'll need the WC3TOOL to inject wonder cards into your save.)

    Also, PKHeX usage:
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen: Event constant 36
    Pokémon Emerald: Event constant 62

Cycling through 0 to 8 in the above given event constant, results in the rotation of the species that appears.

    Also, for cheat code usage:
    Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen:
    Pokémon Emerald Codes:

  2. Pokepark (ポケパーク) Eggs: Featherdance Taillow

In the year 2005, various Pokémon were distributed as eggs with special moves, where in that particular generation or games, they normally have no access to those moves.
Players could receive the wonder card at the PokéPark in Japan via the NDS Download Play feature, receivable by all the Generation III games.
(Though required them to play the games on a NDS)

Additionally, players that had the GBA Wireless Adapter and the respective games (FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald),
could receive the gift on their GBA using the Mystery Gift and Wireless Adapter capabilities to connect to a JOYSPOT,
    at the Market Fantasia.
The distribution ran from March 12 to May 8, 2005.

While this gift is similar to the Journey Across America version, with the Original Trainer being 10 ANIV,

  11. PK5: Uncatchable Legendary Beasts

In Pokémon Black and White, when players bring one of the Fateful Encounter Legendary Beasts to the Lostlorn Forest, an in-game event activates.

In the in-game event, you'll be approached by a camper, who would then growl and start a Pokémon battle.

The Pokémon battle starts with a Raikou/Entei/Suicune, but upon one hit it would be revealed that it was a Zoroark disguised using its Illusion ability.

As it turns out, the Raikou/Entei/Suicune at the start of the battle actually contains fully populated Pokémon data, that was obtained via a RAM dump.
These 'legendaries' are normally shiny locked.

  13. SWSH - Pokédex BG Color Patch

    Original Creator:
    XLuma (blue and green)

    Additional modifications:
theSLAYER (utilized XLuma's work as a basis, to add: red, cyan and white)

    Uses:
To be used as some sort of green screen, easier to make the background transparent, for screenshots or videos.
    Or perhaps as meme templates.
Other colors were added, for reasons such as dealing with transparency, the color existing on the Pokémon's body etc.

    Prerequisites:
You need to have Switch CFW to use this patch. The ability to read and follow instructions closely. (Optional but would do you some good):  Have some sort of understanding (even if it's very little) of how to use LayeredFS.
    Steps:
    1. Dump the game.
    2. Extract the content from RomFS
    3. Go to romfs/bin/appli/pokedex/bin/ to obtain a copy of pokedex_bg.arc (MD-5: 1DCBF031EE67BA2843A51E0BF2808E30)
    4. Select the Pokedex_bg_(color)_patch.xdelta of your choosing, and download it.
    5. Now, use the program Xdelta to apply the patch to the file obtained in step 3. This will give you a patched file.
    6. Now, create a directory like this in your atmosphere/contents/0100ABF008968000 (for Sword) or atmosphere/contents/01008DB008C2C000 (for Shield)
    folder: romfs/bin/appli/pokedex/bin/
    7. Paste the patched file into that directory.
    8. Rename the patched file in the directory to pokedex_bg.arc
    9. Boot your Switch and play the game.

We will not provide any files beyond what we've already provided, as any already patched files would contain content from files from within ROMs, which fall under piracy.

  17. Wild Area Event #2: Snorlax

This wild area event held by Sword and Shield. It made Gigantamax Snorlax the focus of the event.
For base game Pokémon Sword and Shield, without this event, there is no den that will enable players to encounter a Gigantamax Snorlax.

As per the previous events, Drednaw and Sandaconda were Sword exclusive raids, and Corviknight and Centiskorch were Shield exclusive raids. Butterfree and Snorlax can be obtained regardless of game.
Though it is important to note, host can include players of the opposite version to join in the raids.
This event ran globally from December 4th, 2019 to January 9th, 2020.
The running of this event was interrupted twice in favor of other events:
    #3 Christmas 2019 (Index 03 and Index 04)

  24. Gigantamax Bulbasaur

This gift was distributed to players to commemorate the update of Pokémon HOME, where the update to the mobile app adds features like the Catch Calendar.

  25. Wild Area Event #20: July 2020

This is a Wild Area event held by Sword and Shield. It appears to have some kind of mining theme, with all the Pokémon being at least part Steel, Ground or Rock type.
One can find a Gigantamax Copperajah or Gigantamax Coalossal if they are lucky.

The release of this event was fraught with issues, and the servers had to redistribute the Wild Area News multiple times to try to tackle them.

Note that these are to me memory, and do not have them 100% correct. I'll replace them when proof comes along.
Index 27: Initial Release. Has bugged item (0x1604) as part of the rewards. Crashes the game upon receiving it.
Index 28: Bonus_reward still has bugged item. However on normal_encount (rigel and base), reference to the bugged item has been removed, instead referencing a different award.
However it still appears to be bugged, perhaps server side. These raids could not be done online.
Index 29: ??? (I do not have this)
Index 30: Properly Fixed: Armorite Ore reinstated in the bugged slot of bonus_reward, and normal_encount references that slot.
Index 32: Post Sea Pokémon Invasion
To import these files into your save, use PKHeX's block importing function. Our tutorial should guide you through it.
Our first post of this page would contain some data relevant to the importing stage.
