Hello everyone, back with something else again. For a while many users have requested cheats that allow you to evolve Pokemon that only evolve via trading. Evolution requirements vary from Pokemon to Pokemon, and for a while there didn't seem to be a feasible way to handle them, without directly hacking the ROM images themselves (still a viable approach however). I managed to make codes that bypass the requirement of trading the Pokemon themselves, without having to manipulate the Pokemon trade requirements via the game assets.
Pros:
- Allows the ability to evolve Pokemon that require trading without needing to trade.Cons:
- Does not guarantee that you will learn specific trade evolution related moves. This is due to the fact that when using these codes, you are required to level the Pokemon at least once to initiate the evolution sequence. Such requirements may cause the Pokemon to skip learning moves at specific levels as a result because they aren't evolving at the specified level to learn them.
- Due to the design of evolution via trading, each time a Pokemon levels up, you will be presented with the evolution sequence. It is recommended that you utilize an Everstone if you want to restrict a trade specific evolution at specific levels.Note(s):
While these code(s) offer a way to bypass the trading requirement to evolve specific Pokemon, I still highly suggest performing the trades legitimately. Internet is not a requirement to perform trades legitimately. You can perform trades locally (offline) by using two Nintendo DS systems (doesn't matter the model(s)), or running two Nintendo DS emulation instances on a computer (melonDS allows for trading locally (offline) and or online). You do not need to have two different games or two different save files, you can trade between the exact same save data and exact same game between two official cartridges and or flash cartridges. Trading between an official game cartridge and a flash cartridge is also an option if you lack more than one official copy of a game. If you don't have a flash cartridge and only have one official game cartridge, simply dump your ROM and save data from the game cartridge, then use an emulator (such as melonDS) to run two instances using the same ROM image and save data. Just be sure that you make a secondary, separate, renamed copy of the ROM and save file, that way the second instance doesn't overwrite the data of your primary save.Diamond and Pearl:

I created brand new versions of these codes and updated the main thread post with the new codes. I've tested these extensively with genuine hardware and cartridges and experienced zero issues. I have already added these to my database for a future update, so these will be available in mass eventually.

I find it ironic when some ROM hackers say to use "clean" or "unedited" dumps for the patches, yet absolutely never validates if the base vanilla ROM being utilized is actually a good dump or not, and will proceed to create patches for that bad dump (or on occasions, a modified bad dump that isn't known to exist period). We really need to evolve past these bad habits already, 10+ years of Pokemon DS related hacking, come on now lol.
These patches require a bad dump, this dump to be exact:

Well based on the name, it should be clear what you are supposed to use to make this work, the calculator application in the Pokemon watch.

Included variants for HeartGold and SoulSilver. Meant to do this some time ago but forgot. These titles don't have exclusive wild encounters, however you can still get contest related backdrops and accessories from the woman in Pal Park like you could in the previous titles.

Uploaded a fixed version of v1.2, messed something up on accident that I ended up finding out about while fixing another hack. The game won't be any different with this fix, but I'm not someone who likes sitting leaving stuff as-is if I know there's an issue. Links aren't different, you can grab the fixed versions from the post I made about the update.

Hello everyone, yet another compatibility fix update. The original patch was a bit of a doozy to deal with, but I managed to work up what was needed for it and fixed up the hack. As usual as with most of my other hack updates, this fixes compatibility for solutions capable of running compatible titles in DSi mode.

Hello everyone, did yet another compatibility fix, this time with Blaze Black and Volt White.
v3.2 - May 31, 2023
DeadSkullzJr:
- Made adjustments to the ROM image.
- Restored Nintendo DSi related data in the ROM image.
- Removed the anti-piracy bypass patch. The anti-piracy bypass patch was removed, it's generally a bad practice to apply patches like these to ROM hacks due to the constant changes that occur to the ROM image(s). The other reason is because anti-piracy bypass solutions tend to receive updates from time to time to account for aspects of the game that may have been missed in the past. Lastly, these types of patches should only ever be applied by the end user and not forced, these should only ever be used if by chance the environment you are working with requires a solution like this for the game(s) to run properly, not all environments are guaranteed to operate the same exact way or handle game related data in the same manner.

Hello everyone, I've been working on a project that I started last year, and decided to share my progress with you all. My goal with this project is to extract as much event distribution information as I can from whatever distribution methods that exists to maintain 100% accuracy with said information. Generations IV and V are my current priorities given all the newer generations seem to be accounted for well enough for the time being. The difference between these extractions versus the traditional save extraction variants, they lack date received information, and in some cases, my extractions have encrypted data where some of the save extracted variants are decrypted (not that it's a bad thing of course, but distributions for these generations are always encrypted so, take that as you will). This is of course all work in progress and I will keep updating this for the future.

As a small side project, I decided to invent wonder cards of my own for events that never got distributed (currently only for generation IV), I made sure to keep them in line with official wonder cards to make them as authentic as possible down to the data, making these technically 100% accurate. While some of these events are available in one form or another, this is my attempt at a "clean" distribution as if it was official. I provided PGT and WC4 variants of these wonder cards, that way you can use what you feel for your game(s). Hold L instead of R for the Platinum variant as it says to.
Tested both and they work fine.

Hello everyone, I decided to redo v1.2 as I managed to make some drastic improvements regarding compatibility, rendering my previous v1.2 build obsolete. With this version you can finally play the ROM hack in DSi Mode using solutions like TWiLightMenu.
v1.2 - March 27, 2022

Just wanted to say thanks for this!
platinum code works fine. Diamond and Pearl version doesn’t seem to work at all though.
I just tested, they are working as intended for me, the best way to know for certain is to talk to the woman in the Pal Park on the second floor on the right, she gives backdrops depending on the Game Boy Advance title in slot-2. If she gives you stuff then the code is working, as will the encounters, you just have to deal with the scarce encounter chances.

Hello everyone, today I bring you something new to the table. Years ago I wasn't fortunate enough to own every Pokemon game for the Game Boy Advance, it wasn't until years later when I could finally get my hands on more copies of the games, the drawback however is the absurd price tags that many sellers throw these respective titles up for. At one point I looked down at the copies I owned and wondered if I could somehow replicate or utilize dual-slot mode in the game, without having to require these game cartridges. With enough research and some tinkering, I can now happily say that it is now possible to utilize dual-slot mode in Pokemon - Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Version without requiring the respective Game Boy Advance titles.
Pros:
- Allows the ability to participate in Dual-Slot Mode exclusive Pokemon encounters.
- Able to be switched on the fly without having to reboot the game console.
- Allows the ability to obtain Dual-Slot Mode exclusive items.
- Can be used on any Nintendo DS/3DS system without requiring the Game Boy Advance game cartridges or Slot-2.Cons:
- Does not enable the ability to migrate Pokemon.
Why doesn't this allow the ability to migrate Pokemon?Answer:
Well, it should be pretty obvious, but the reason being is because you cannot mimic an entire game cartridge with save data using cheat codes.

I have the US version of Platinum. I've set the code in correctly and have been pressing select with no success.

Tested, it works on my end, I am unsure why it's not for you.

Hello, the code works, but when I save and open the game again without the Action Replay, I lose the ID number
That's intended, these IDs are not meant to be permanent, this was made to allow you to preserve your original ID.

@DeadSkullzJr If you put in the correct code for all three, can you choose between three of your choosing instead of the original starters?
You can, however it would be completely pointless given you can only choose one in the first place, I made these separate for each starter just to keep it evened out.

Is there any way to make them shiny too? I know I'm real late here lol
You'll have to use a separate code of sorts or use PKHeX (recommended).

Hi, this doesn’t seem to be working for me, and man would I like it to because of the amount of work put into the codes. I am unsure of where to press select, I’ve tried it at every chance possible, tried holding it, tried pressing it with start, tried pressing R and L instead, and can’t seem to bypass the 24 hour limit. I have triple checked to make sure I wrote the code right, renamed the code to the exact name you have written, and still nothing. Is it something I’m doing wrong still?
Sorry for the late reply, for what specific version were you testing this on? I tested each of these and they appeared to be working on my end. I will test them again however just to double check. You can press Select at any given time, doesn't matter where really.

Hi, so I'm a bit new to this whole thing and I'm wondering what the shiny groups mean?
Could I just use one of the codes per game, or do different pokemon fit into different shiny groups?
I would like to encounter more shinies, but I don't want everything I encounter to be shiny if you know what I mean, nor do I only want to be able to find one gender of pokemon.
Sorry for the late reply, the groups are specific to the natures you want depending on gender ratio of your choice. I couldn't cram the nature list in the description so you'll have to rely on the information from the internet regarding the groups. These codes when used are only active when you press and hold the L or R button (varies on the version of the game respectively), once you release the button(s) everything will return to normal.

Do these codes require a master code or something? I have tried different pokemon using Diamond and platinum versions on DraStic emulator and twilight ++ on the 3ds as well but I can't seem to make it work
Nope, they work just fine for me, tested on a few flash cartridges and TWiLightMenu.

Hello everyone, back with another update. v1.3 fixes an evolution oversight from Drayano. Users have mentioned that in-game trades with NPCs do not work, however when testing, I seem to not have any issues with NPC trades.
v1.3 - September 25, 2025
DeadSkullzJr:
- Made adjustments to the ROM image.
- Fixed the inability to evolve Slowpoke into Slowking using a King's Rock.
