All updates were removed before I installed the rom. So basically everything related to Pokemon in the 3DS's data. Playing Ruby. I made Onix hold it from level 15 or so till level 20 and it didn't evolve so I gave up. Is there another way to get Steelix?

Thanks for the great romhack. I have a question though. I'm trying to evolve Onix to Steelix but holding the metal coat while levelling doesn't seem to do anything. Is there some other requirement other than what's listed on the front page?
