yes i believe so but it depends on what version you buy (special editions etc) but iirc the highest firmware sold on a new 3ds was 8.x (not 100% sure)

(by new 3ds i mean a normal 3ds not the new version)

that was from before the 1.2 update for x/y

So i'm wanting to by a cartridge to do this, would it be possible to use a sky3ds? sorry if this is the wrong area. If i am in the wrong place could you please point me in the right direction. thanks

and open the pk3ds.snl in visual studio (there is a free version on the microsoft website if you don't own it) and run it from there

make a folder called pk3ds

put the exefs folder & romfs folder into the pk3ds folder

rename exefs folder to exe

rename the code.bin to .code.bin

drag the pk3ds folder into the program and it should load

make sure u use the latest version

then rebuild rom with the romfs you just remade and install update 1.2 for oras or 1.3 for x/y

i have this wierd problem i was using ohana3ds when i tried to load charmander texture it give me this error ( http://imgur.com/OuMfr6E ) i have never had before and its only with a few pokemon charmander charmeleon and charizard some others i can't remember

if its holding the griseous orb it changes forms so thats prob the problem

I've been working hard at this all day. I managed to decrypt and unpack, extract with Garc and make the edits with RSWE and RSTE, but I don't know how to inject them per se. I recompiled into .cia and installed and it booted OR without any edits, clean dump. How do I overwrite the vanilla game with the edits?
