Okay. Do you want me to say yes? Because I'm not too... Like... I don't crave these Pokemon.

I suppose reducing the pace in half would be a bit much. Maybe 30% or 25%. I could very easily be eating my own words - but sweeps will be more rewarding, and tanks can actually tank. But there are still plenty of powerful Pokemon that will still dish out major hurt.

I don't know either. All I know is that I don't want the pace to be increased is all. Also, something to consider is that in one of the demo videos, Mega Mewtwo used Thunderbolt on Dragonite and it didn't even do half. If Mega Mewtwo's special attack is higher, much higher than say, Nidoking (with sheer force + life orb), why didn't it do Half? However Psyshock did KO it.

Something to consider. And I'm well aware Dragonite is not frail, but Mega Mewtwo's special attack is not slouchworthy either.

I don't have a Lapras, actually. I may accept the Lapras or Typhlosion - would you want them back at some point? I ask in case you want a way to get them into Gen 5.

Personally I think a slower metagame would be greatly appreciated. Like, not atrociously slow, but just slower so that not everything is One-hitting everything in the tier. It would also make more sense with things becoming Mega as having Megas may actually be more important than not as their power may actually serve quite a purpose. And having 590 attack may actually be very helpful. To be honest, I think slowing down the pace would actually make sense. Everything was too powerful in Gen 5 - like the ridiculous Conkeldurr and the like. Now, we might actually see less power creep... I'm all for that.

I just hope that really, really frail pokemon like Gengar don't survive Choice Band Earthquakes from Rampardos or something...

Also, regarding Sylveon:

For some odd reason, I would be overjoyed if moves dealt less damage, because Gen 5 was a bit too fast paced. Mega Evolutions may also be redundant as there are already a bunch of unstoppable sweepers. But, I highly doubt that. I want that, but I doubt it.

I'm assuming it's just that it's stats are distributed differently or that Politoed wasn't trained properly.

But I would love it if the pace was slowed down. I would cry in sheer joy.

Yeah, that's a big change... But hopefully they do more with the list than just add Fairy... But I doubt that. I don't want to hype it up and be proven wrong, though I did that with a new type overall...

Logic as in effectiveness. Like, I make my teams have this and that but I seldom consider actual weaknesses to the team, for instance I throw this poke because of it's stats but not how it correlates with the other team members.

Are you even allowed to do that? And I go back to school in September... Gah one month of painful waiting ;__;

I see. Well... Hopefully you get a 3DS. We can have some memorable battles IMO in X/Y, as simulators, while good, are to me not as memorable and there are no versus recorders. Like... watching them anyway are dull, and there's no attachment to me.

Speaking of which they better have them. X_X

I got a lonely natured Tepig with Superior Overall Stats and Perfect attack on the first try. Kinda lucky.

I think though, when I'm making a team, I actually want to use what I like but actually put some logic behind it.

I think initially there will be an outcry and people will hate faries and call them OP... But who knows, it may be hype, and there will actually be ways to counter fairies. Aside from potentially having two uncommon weaknesses, Fairies may not be resistant to all that much, and their STAB may be resisted by some things which aren't too uncommon. But we'll have to see, as I excessively say.

It'd make sense... But I don't see it happening. The rumours have been insanely accurate up to this point.

Fairy may just become another water, possibly - weak to certain types which are not on every type of team and good on a slew of things. Yes, I'll be honest, I hate facing water. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep.png" alt="-_-" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

There's no reason why it should raise the actual base stat total. That'd be absurd by all accounts and I do not think Game Freak has gone that far out left field, if that expression makes sense here.

Yeah, he told me his name too. Speaking of which...

If worst comes to worst, we can always wait till Gen 7... Wow. 4/5 years later...

But I see no reason why it should be neutral to ghosts. We're dealing with things that are like fairies. Sure, a lot of them don't have that supernatural quality to them (Dedenne, Swirlix), but it would make sense. Plus Ghost is just so mean spirited and it sounds like the perfect opposite. Well, not mean spirited, but just melancholy.

I also thought it should be weak to fire, but... Hmmmm.

We'll see. But the metagame will change entirely.

He knows more about codes than me so yeah, but I'm pretty certain it's only about making EV training easier, not base stats as a whole. They just refer to them as base stats. Keep in mind whenever you use a protein it would say "base attack raised".

The base stat thing said that they show the natural level of how your Pokemon's stat raises, and then the yellow is the EVs you've given it.

I like Gardevoir, Gallade, things like that. I do like Medicham a little. But not many. If you look at all my favourite Pokemon for each type only one of them is humanoid..

Daniel is Lego's name, but you know that... Why did I mention that... But it looks funny.

Well, it would suck. They should be weak to Ghost IMO, because Fairies are a type of spirit and so are ghosts. One thing to consider about the rumour is that it said that the upside down pokemon would be a cat when it was a squid... Something to consider.

But let's hope Sylveon's BST isn't higher than the others.

I'm hoping for Poison to get some buffs offensively, like super-effective against water or fighting. NERF FIGHTING. that is all I ask.

Okay also buff Ice too.

It's just not what I prefer. I prefer animals on my team than human like creatures, with a few exceptions, like Cofagrigus.

Pangoro looks like my kinda Pokemon. It's a bear, Dark type/Fighting as well, Iron Fist, Difficult to work with but doesn't forgive those who pick on the weak...

Some pokes I want are Chespin's Family, Noivern, Helioptile, and Pangoro. Oh yeah and Clauncher and Noivern. DANG IT TOO MANY

Yeah, there was some deliberate moves going on here. There had to have been.

Still want to see that type chart. But I'm thinking Fairy will just be tagged along, unless they make a few minor changes here and there.

I think Pangoro might be bulkier but with higher power, but not as many speed options. I still look forward to using it. I don't like using too many humanoid fighters.

But they mostly showed us what we know... Aside from Sylveon's potentially ridiculous bulk.

Also, I read your post (which is where I saw the video), and saw that Pangoro did in fact take a critical... It must have tons of HP. Secondly, it could be that some of these Pokemon were not EV trained and some were, like Sylveon... But Sylveon does have ludicrous defences either in HP or Sp. Def. But who knows. Some of these Pokemon seemed too weak I find - they must be withholding something. But we'll see.

on a more positive note I do like how the Pokemon have their own faint animations, though they are brief. Like, it was cool when Pangoro knelt down as it fainted, and I was sad when Noivern was taken out.

Also boomburst hits all enemies like Earthquake.

How did Sylveon take that hit so well and yet dish out so much damage back in return???? And when it attacked it wasn't too weak either... It better not have too high of a BST compared to other eeveelutions, because that would be garbage.... Unless it had a higher BST and they made megas for all the other eevee forms <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep.png" alt="-_-" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

It's ability is cute charm so I don't see how it would affect anything...

As for the rest, Pangoro must be slow as molasses, but it must be very durable as well considering it took a critical hit power whip and took the hit well. Noivern must be more physically oriented then because it didn't hit as hard as it could... But we don't know for sure.

We'll see how things pan out, but if Sylveon is that durable it will be OU regardless.

Hmmm, that's some highly-intelligent analysis right there.

I honestly think Slaking was invented for doubles so that it's ability would be nullified, but people don't like to do that. It's too much work.

But I still love it, regardless of what people say ;(

Yeah, Glaceon is pretty powerful. We just need more fast ice types I think - and maybe more along the lines of potent special attackers, too. Most of them are made to be defensive, and some of the powerful ones are physical, like Mamoswine, Weavile and Beartic. Which is why I hope Froakie is Water/Fighting or Water/ice.

Also Helioptile has Dry Skin. My Suicune counter has come!!
