  1. This sounds like you need to open the ports on your Router. Check out port forwarding. ShinyGTS is telling you the truth. It did bind to port 80; it does not know however if it can see the outside. You should not need to mess with port 80 if and only if you are trying to do this locally. If you are doing this locally, make sure the DNS you're putting in your DS is the local IP address of your computer. For example, my router assigned my PC the local address of 10.0.0.2; your PC would have something similar or, probably 192.168.1.x, where x is a number between 1 and 255. Do not use the IP that ShinyGTS displays because to use that one, you would probably have to mess with port forwarding. Did any error messages appear on the screen? Are you sure the program was in the right GTS mode?
  2. The only thing I can think of at this point is that maybe a filename is invalid. I don't know why that would be though; the error doesn't get thrown for weird reasons such as a language difference...
  3. Apparently the path being fed to it is invalid for some reason. I don't know why that would be; maybe there's an invalid character in the path somewhere?
  4. Just replied to your thread, but I'll re-answer it here. The new place is configured to use IPv6 which means you will need to use some sort of tunneling service because the DS does not accept IPv6 and probably won't be able to without a firmware update. I don't know what this means for GTS transferring, but the transition to IPv6 will not be an easy one.
  5. The IP address being returned to the fake GTS is an IPv6 one. Hidden within that, though, appears to possibly be an IPv4 one of 192.168.2.8, I don't know though. That looks to be somewhat of a local IP instead.
  6. If you double click the error, it will display the full message. That will give me a bit more information as to what's wrong.
  7. ShinyDTS allows you to send or receive Pokemon on both Generation IV and V and the same time. ShinyGTS is restricted to either or.
  8. You could use a GTS emulator to "upload" all your Pokemon to your computer then send them all to another version.
  9. I have updated the main post with newly compiled versions of ShinyDTS and GTS, containing a few bugfixes that should address any concerns that have been raised in the thread. Thanks to everyone for the feedback.
  10. Sounds like a transmission error...could be a problem with padding maybe, but I doubt it. Try uploading a different Pokemon.
  11. It happens sometimes, there's nothing else we can do about it really. It could be your DS or router, probably the router in how it handles it since it is technically an internal connection.
  12. I was using a program that required it to be unblocked.
  13. A 52100 error still points to a port being blocked. I don't know what else could be blocking it though, are you running any programs like Skype or Teamviewer?
  14. The IP address should not be changed in the DS, that should always be on Auto-Obtain. The only thing that should be changed is your Primary DNS. I was saying you can have your Primary DNS as 192.168.1.33, but it's recommended [by me at least] to use your External IP address for the Primary DNS server, which is what the program gives you in that textbox.
  15. It looks like the DNS port is not blocked, which is good. However, Port 80, which is the GTS server, is blocked. These are some common ailments: 1) Make sure that no programs currently running also use Port 80 (Examples: Skype & Teamviewer) 2) Check to make sure your ports are forwarded to your local IP 3) Make sure your ISP isn't blocking Port 80 The most likely culprit is #2.
  16. Some ISP's will unblock Port 80 for you if you do contact them. I know mine did.
  17. The reason that the program puts that IP in the DNS area is because that is the IP address you should be using. You can use your Internal IP of 192.168.1.33, but I don't recommend it; haven't done much testing on the system with it. As for the 192.168.1.35, that is the IP assigned to your DS. It also sounds like you might have some port problems or conflicts somewhere with either your router or a program on your PC.
  18. Because, when transmitted across the networking, ShinyDTS/GTS resizes the array to 220 bytes.
  19. Your ISP could be blocking port 80? I don't know honestly. Maybe your router needs to have the ports forwarded if you haven't done that already.
  20. Forward your Internal IP to line up with your External. Double check with your ISP to make sure they're still not blocking port 80 if the problem persists.
  21. Then I don't understand why you're having issues. I don't have them myself and several others don't as well...the only thing that I can think of is that your OS is being stupid about incoming connections; that or a firewall of sorts is reacting to the incoming traffic and maybe treating it as a potential DDoS? But then again, that would also happen with, say, IR-GTS. You're one of the weird cases. I'm working on a rewrite that I'm hoping will speed things up, no promises though. @Mike Waggs: That can have plenty of potential sources. Check your firewall, ISP, and be sure that you have no open programs that bind to port 80 or 53.
  22. You might have a fast Internet, but it might not be able to handle multiple queries extremely fast. Who is your ISP and what brand of router do you have? Just because you have fast Internet doesn't necessarily mean you can keep running this, you also have to be able to handle the incoming queries. I've been able to handle multiple connections in a row, upwards of 30 at a time when I was at my all time high.
  23. Double click the icon that is in the tray. @Butterfree; It probably does have to do with the bug fix that I'm currently working on, OR some cleanup issues in the PostSend routine. I'll look into it.
  24. Anything appear in the logs? Did you actually put files in the proper boxes to make sure it would do something?
  25. Neither, the path given is not valid. This usually indicates that the path is blank. Yes.
