  1. Would you be able to upload the three Pokemon as .pkm files? It makes it easier to use those for a starting point. Are they in the same state as they were caught? No problem if not, but it would be nice to have the files to keep for them in their original specification (I seem to be amassing a large collection of .pkm files).

For the Hidden Power type, this is dependent on the IV's.

Codes for SS and HG are identical, so the one code can be used in both games.

  2. Not sure who originally created the code, but my thanks goes to them as it proved a useful basis for my investigations into the makeup of the code.

I was trying some more spcific codes for the special routes having been successful with them on my ARDS. For some reason they were somewhat less than successful on the ARDSi. I need to do some more comparitive testing to see if there is a difference between the devices or whether I managed to do something dumb!

  3. An alternative would be to download Pokegen from here...

    http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?6424-Pokemon-Generator-%28Pokesav-replacement-for-Pokemon-editing%29

Load your save into it and left click on the Pokemon you want (you can select the Party or any PC Box). To generate the code click the Generate button at the bottom right.

You can edit a Pokemon by Right Clicking it and selecting "Show in controls" and the Pokemon will appear on the left where you can adjust it. When you have finished right click (over to the right) on the slot you want to place the Pokemon in, either overwriting the existing one, or selecting a new slot in the Party or on the PC by selecting "Set from controls".

  4. Here is a .pkm file of the Celebi (courtesy of Riolu Aura Sphere Now). You can load it into Pokesav and adjust, so that you can create your 4 copies.

I used the Action Replay code on my save, collected the Celebi from the Pokemart and uploaded my HG save to my PC (using NDS Adaptor Plus) so that I could load it into Pokegen (which I much prefer to Pokesav) to save the Celebi to a .pkm file.

  5. If you are new to Pokesave I would suggest ignoring it and downloading Pokegen from here...

Load your .sav file into it and on the right you will see your Party Pokemon. Right Click on one of them and select "Show in controls" and that Pokemon will appear on the left side of the screen where you will be able to change information for it in the five tabs - Main, Met, Stats, Attacks, OT/Misc. When you have finisihed editing the Pokemon you can return it to its place in the Party, by Right Clicking its position and selecting "Set from controls". Using the selector above the party you can select a PC box. Right click on an empty slot in the box and use "Set from controls" to place it there. When you have finished Save the file.

You can create a completely new Pokemon on the left part of the screen and using the "Set from Controls", as above, place it in the Party or a PC Box

  6. Welcome to the forum.

I would like to add my vote for Pokegen. As a save editor it has the advantage of allowing easy access to every Pokemon on your save.

  7. The legality checker seems to have issues with event Pokemon. The Summer 2010 Jirachi comes up as hacked when you run the legality checker against it. If you have a genuine event Pokemon then I would not worry too much about the legality checker.

I suppose it is only of help when you receive Pokemon that you are suspicious of, though it is very easy to make a Pokemon that will pass the checker without any problems.

  8. I was using the Symbols entry so that I could type in the Japanese name of the Swampert Pokemon and had difficulty finding the fourth and fifth characters in the list. The fourth character looks like a minus sign (but presumably isn't). Could see nothing similar to the fifth.

  9. I just checked my Micro SD Card. This contains a .xml file containing all my Action Replay codes (which I exported on the DS) and a directory called MYSAVES which contains the .duc files for my game save backups.

If you have a .xml file of a new code, copy it to the root directory of the Micro SD card. Put the ARDSi (and game) into the DS/DSi and switch it on. When the ARDSi Menu appears go to the Files option. This lists everything on the Micro SD car. Click on the .xml file containing the new code and it will be merged into your main Codelist.

  10. Yes, it was something of a relief to say the least.

Needless to say I will now use the device to do backups of all my current Pokemon saves...

    Diamond

    Pearl

    Platinum

    Soulsilver

    Heartgold - "Proper" save

    Heartgold - AR Test save

Yes, I actually bought another Heartgold because I had done so much playing around with the Action Replay on it! I decided I would at least like to try to complete the game normally, though I did use the AR to add Yellow Forest to my Pokewalker Routes as I got the game after that had finished.

  11. Don't think the PS3 Buffer would have stood up to adding this to my last post.

Despatch date for the NDS Adaptor Plus was 19th or 20th July. It arrived a few minutes ago!! Impressive service to say the least.

Downloaded the save to the PC without a problem. Fired up Pokesav HG/SS and loaded the .sav to it. Looked OK. Did a Save (new file name - as usual!). Put the game in my DSi and it loaded fine. Panic over and my AR Test Save is now back in the land of the living and I can now back up my save to my PC for future peace of mind.

  12. Well, out of desperation I have ordered an NDS Adaptor Plus. Had to shop around a bit as the cheapest place had some very bad press as far as customer service was concerned. Ebay was unfortunately out of the question. The same seller was listing the same item on Amazon UK (unfortunately with postage added) so I ordered it there, which gives a good degree of protection I think. Unfortunately I will probably not get it until the middle of next week.

Looks like I will be doing everything with Pokesav and Platinum for the duration! I'll still use Pokegen to do any creating though, before loading the Pokemon into Pokesav.

  13. It is just the retail cartridge. If I knew someone in the UK with an NDS Adaptor Plus I would try to get them to take the cartridge and try a save to PC and reload to see if the problem could be resolved. If all else fails I may have to try to get myself one to see if I can fix the problem. Looks like I'll only be able to do edits (woudn't use my normal save for AR codes) for the moment.

  14. Just posted an answer on an Introduction Topic to remove it from the main view (until the next appears). We will probably pick up more by morning (UK time). There is not a lot that could be done to prevent them from appearing but it would be good if they could be removed.

I am not sure who the best mod to report it to would be as I have no idea how regularly they drop in.

  15. Action Replay DSi is the one to get, as that is the latest.

Should probably have said Hi before. I can also create some AR codes if you need them. My last one produced me an egg that hatched a Shiny Absol.

And to confirm... some sections of the forum do not count toward your post count.

  16. I see we now have another "seller" (to put it politely) with a topic in the Introductions section. The first one (identical) appeared first thing this morning my (UK) time, so I posted in the Introductions section to at least keep it "invisible" outside. I did use the Contact message here to attract attention to it, but I see that the initial one is still here some 16 hours later. I suppose that is the joys of the staff mostly being based the other side of the "pond", so that with the time difference they are normally unable to react very quickly to undesirable postings that appear in the morning UK time.

  17. I can rush through to a suitable point by using the team from my normal game (modded with the Trainer ID and Secret ID from my restarted game so that I can use them regardless of level - Dragonite Lv 89 and Typhlosion, Feralligatr, Skarmory, Meganium and Mew Lv 70+). Should get through without too much problem with them. Only aggravation is all the decent Pokemon I had been traded for "services rendered" are lost.

That is about my only option unless I get an NDS Adaptor Plus.

  18. I had the dreaded blue "screen of death" on starting up my Heartgold AR Test (etc! save). I had come out fully from Wifi and switched off the DSi last time I used it. I have not erased the file yet though. Is there any hope of retireving the data some way?

If not I will be using some codes to very rapidly level up some Pokemon and rush through the game to a suitable point where I have access to enough to be able to use the save as I had done previously.

  19. If you download Pokegen...

    http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?6424-Pokemon-Generator-%28Pokesav-replacement-for-Pokemon-editing%29

You can generate your Pokemon and tell Pokegen that the Pokemon was met in the Valley Windworks in Platinum on the second tab. When all the information is entered you need to be on the first tab and generate the PID (first item on that screen) by clicking the button. This is based on the Pokemons IV's. Then I would normally use the Save Pokemon (From Tabs) option to put the Pokemon in a .pkm file for future reference.

You can then load this Pokemon's .pkm file into Pokesav or Generate an ARDS Code to get the Pokemon in the game directly.

Edit... you will probably need to download another program...

If Pokesav says it is a storage Pokemon.
