Can I get my name changed to EmberQuill? I use that name on most other sites these days.

Yes, I did use Pokecheck because I lost my completed White game so I couldn't use Poke Transfer. I can't believe I missed that, though. I definitely have to remember to take a look at the moveset if this happens again. EDIT: Yep, worked with a valid moveset. Pokegen or Pokecheck messed up the OT though when I was editing the moveset, giving it an invalid trash byte on the end that I didn't notice until the supposedly-fixed Mew still wouldn't go through. Once that issue was resolved, it worked just fine.

I received a Toys R Us Mystery Mew (a 3rd Gen event Pokemon) through a trade a very long while back that wouldn't transfer to the bank. I'm not sure if it's because it was hacked or because it's a really old event Pokemon, but when I examined it in Pokegen I saw that its SID was set to 00000, which is probably the cause. I think other people have had issues with the Mystery Mew as well, and I've seen a lot of identical ones on Pokecheck with the same SID of 00000. So far that's the only Pokemon I've had trouble transferring. Never mind. See next post.

Look up WineBottler. It's free and lightweight and it should run PokeGen just fine on your Mac.

I've actually switched from my EDGE to a different flashcart. They were too slow with firmware updates. I ended up getting a SuperCard DSTWO, but it's pretty expensive as far as flashcarts go. If you're looking for something cheaper, I'd recommend an AceKard 2 or 2i. As far as I've heard, it's one of the best. As for playing Black/White on an EDGE, it works as long as you're okay with major audio glitches. Like...all the music is off-key and the sound-effects sound really odd... I noticed Super Scribblenauts has the same issue.

Sounds like he was asking how to dump a legit cartridge to create a ROM (which is AFAIK not against the rules), rather than asking where to find an illegal ROM (which, yeah, would be grounds for a ban). EDIT: Dang, random beat me to it. Okay, I gotta ask. What names are being used for the three leaders of the first gym? Is it Kone, Koon. or Corn? Podda, Poddo, or Pod? Dento or Dent? AFAIK it's supposed to be Corn, Pod, and Dent, but I've seen all of those variations in the translation files on Github so I'm not sure which names are correct...

Speaking of the github stuff, why are there two separate repositories under projectpokemon? There's a "Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files" and a "Pokemon-Black-White-Story-Translation-Files". Is there a difference?

Dang, I was wrong about Met in Place. However, 86h is still 00 because 00 corresponds with the ball you use in Pal Park. 04 corresponds with a normal Pokeball.
