1. Hi! Nice to meet you, dude. I lived in London for 3 years so I have very fond memories of it.
 2.

You know I have no problems with being disgustingly overleveled. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh.png" alt="xD" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And frankly I'm not fond of a lot of the new mons so much oldmon does not bother me, a lot of the new ones look bloody stupid, like the keyring. Seriously, Gamefreak? Seriously? A freaking possessed keychain?

But it's good to know that I can wait. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

No it's fine! I love to hear others' opinions. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hmmm. So it's a meh story but interesting added features. I heard about the exp share thing-- that divides all exp equally across your party, right? (what happened to regular exp share held item?) What if you get a mon that's a lot lower level than everyone else? Does it use Unova's levelling system?

It's not that I'm reluctant... I'm just broke. ^^;;;

 4.

reading that, I'm now beginning to wonder if it's actually worth it to attempt X/Y. How is it so far? And you said the story was sloppier as opposed to Unova? How do the starters handle?

 5.

I'm not sure how to feel on the Fairy type. It seems kind of... Unnecessary. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 6.

Are you expecting any different at this point?

*hysterical giggles*

 7.

Yeah, I need a 3DS as well, but right now I'm broke so I'm gonna hold off and wait till prices drop a little?

 8.

Hey. How goes X/Y? I'm kinda broke so I don't have either. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 9.

Well, I was talking about Gliscor for my current Flying team, which is taking forever to level X_X But I'll certainly take Durant into consideration, I never really thought about it before. I was torn between Ninjask and Technician Scyther though.

I was planning on just using a Guts boost to annihilate everything that didn't have a contact-based ability, while Quiver dance Volcarona can deal with the sarcophagus. The Chandelure is the other reason why I don't like using Physical attackers on Shauntal <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And no Bug learns Surf, sadly.

Yeah, the Dark subtype is the only reason why I'd consider Shiftry. Lawnmower Rotom might be an interesting option, but I haven't found much use for Electric types overall (the only thing I use it for is Lapras and the rest of the team will laugh at it anyway). Venusaur was another option I was considering, but Poison subtype does it no favors...

 10.

Well, my switcher was going to be Gliscor, who carries Aerial Ace....

How is durant broken? *headtilts* I could use Genesect but I'm not entirely sure. X-scissor's not too bad on Scolipede, and Caitlin will run screaming at my Scizor. Shauntal on the other hand won't like Heracross' Night Slash...

Hn, yeah, Grass team is currently Celebi, Breloom, Torterra, Shiftry (never used one before so not sure what to do with it), Ludicolo (though it conflicts with Shiftry). And then I have no idea. Lilligant's movepool is sadly limited <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 11.

I have a Ninjask, actually, which packs U-turn. So Sturdy should not be a problem there. I was debating Scolipede because it's bulky as heck, but I'm not too sure about it. I do have an event Genesect though.

Ludi might be an option, I want something fast and deadly though. Sawsbuck I may consider if only because STAB Return wrecks everything and I have an Adamant Serene Grace one from the Weather Institute. I have no Skymin, sadly D:

 12.

Bug so far is Scizor, Volcarona, Hera, Galvantula, undecided last two.

Poison so far is Nidoking, Tentacruel, Drapion, Gengar, Toxicroak, (possibly Scolipede)

and Grass type so far is Celebi, Sceptile, Venusaur, Shiftry, Breloom, and idk about the last two.

I have just about everything at this point, my dex is nearly complete...

 13.

Hey! What's up? Haven't talked to you in a while. I've been working on those monotype Elite Four challenge medals in Black 2, and so far I've been doing pretty well. Successful types so far are Fire (Houndoom, Arcanine, Blaziken, Charizard, Reshiram), Water (Lanturn, Starmie, Keldeo, Swampert, Kingdra, Sharpedo), Dark (Houndoom, Krookodile, Sharpedo, Scrafty, Darkrai, Hydreigon), Dragon (Garchomp, Hydreigon, Kyurem, Reshiram, Latios, Zekrom), and as of five minutes ago Fighting (Scrafty, Gallade, Keldeo, Heracross, Blaziken, Lucario (who did literally -nothing- in the entire fight)).

I'm having trouble fixing my rosters for Bug, Grass, and Poison though, and I could use your input...

 14. So, for those of you who try to collect medals (like me), no doubt you've seen the medals that are awarded for beating the Elite Four with a mono-_____ team (and the challenge with one Pokemon only). I'm creating this thread as an opportunity for people to discuss their winning mono-type teams here or to get help with their teams. My successful teams: Fire: Houndoom, Blaziken, Charizard, Reshiram, Arcanine, Volcarona Water: Keldeo, Starmie, Kingdra, Sharpedo, Lanturn, Swampert Dragon: Hydreigon, Garchomp, Latios, Zekrom, Kyurem, Reshiram Dark: Houndoom, Hydreigon, Scrafty, Darkrai, Hydreigon, Sharpedo, Krookodile The teams I know I'm going to have the most trouble with are Normal, Grass, Bug and Poison. I have an EVed Rash Serene Grace Togekiss I got from the GTS which has the moves to send -every- Elite Four member screaming into the night (Air Slash, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere), but the other types mentioned above are lacking in options I would consider usable. Thoughts, people?
 15. Perhaps something that was exclusive to Blitz Black? That seems like a fair trade.
 16. Eh, not sure about the Fakemon idea... i don't really like it to be honest, if you want to ramp up the difficulty etc, that's fine, but I'm not keen on the fakemon. That's best saved for a pure fakemn type hack, imho.
 17. Perhaps you could put in an in-game trade for Slugma? I'm not sure I like the idea of version exclusive legends, perhaps they could be prizes given by an NPC for defeating the PWT's tourneys a certain number of times? Other "pixie" legends (Jirachi, Celebi etc) could be programmed as either interactable or like the Azelf/Mesprit/Uxie event in BW2.
 18.

No worries. This kind of thing happens. :3

*nods* Even though I'd prefer DD because of the speed boost too.

 19. You could simply make them interactable Pokemon? I'm not sure how to do that, though. That starter event sounds... Forced, to be honest. Because I'd rather pick my favorite of the starters than be forced to take whatever is pre-set. Perhaps make it so that every season has one region's starters available to choose from? And you can later choose from the starters that you didn't pick. BlazeBlack and SacredGold allowed you to either capture or be given all the starters, which I really enjoyed.
 20. Hi Orromin, I received your PM and although I'm not very good at doing any of the actual editing, but I have played quite a few hacks and I'd like to offer a few ideas and ask a few questions. I'm also willing to serve as a sounding board from the players' point of view, to sort out balance. (I've beaten both SacredGold and BlazeBlack, so I'm not worried about increased difficulty, I -loved- the increased difficulty in those hacks, but BlazeBlack in particular did have some moments of extreme frustration.) My apologies for putting everything into this thread, but your google docs Mailbox doesn't like me... (my computer is also a piece of crap. >.<) First of all, I'm not entirely sure about the version specific abilities. It just seems unnecessarily complicated. Hidden abilities, perhaps you could edit some mons so they have different/better ones. Re Pokemon typing changes, what are you thinking? Also, are you going to be changing Pokemon's movepools? (If so, please give Flareon and Entei Flare Blitz.) I'm assuming you're editing Pokemon available on the routes, so that firstly begs the question of how you intend to include the other legendaries from previous generations. Of the two hacks I've played, SacredGold did this better by far, adding a series of in-game events-- Blazeblack gave them a 1% encounter rate in certain areas. It was certainly more "fair", but a lot more frustrating and didn't feel as good from a player's point of view. Secondly, I do hope you plan to increase the different species available in the early game. For instance, in my normal Black 2 run, I chose Emboar and ended up having to rely on the Psyduck line for ENTIRELY too long until I got fed up and traded for a Lanturn. This could be fixed by giving players the Super Rod early on, so they can pick up what they want. ... And now that I've slammed you with a wall of text, I'll wait for your response >.>
 21.

Not really. I spent a lot of time on the Dream Radar in order to get the Therians, and that was really it... plus DW Porygon goes really well on the GTS >.>

I could put Swords Dance on Jira, but I like her the way she is. Sadly, my Gatr is not a DW Gatr, he's just Jolly natured and I couldn't bring myself to waste that kind of gift.

... Your profile picture is adorable <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 22.

I run Rock Slide, Brick Break, E-speed and Shadow Claw, because Dark Pulse is a tutor move, if I'm correct. Not much uses Double Team this time, you'll more like have to worry about inconvenient poisoning but Lucario doesn't worry about that. Just make sure you have the usual STAB Surf/Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Thunderbolt/Psychic and you'll be fine.

Well, if you want, I have also got a few Dream World mons. Prankster Riolu, Flare Boost Drifloon, Telepathy Munna/Ralts, Analytic Porygon, I forget what Togepi's is, but I have DW Beartic as well if you'd like one of them. Also, someone gave me a Timid Gastly from the GTS <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yeah, that's why they're so deadly. Jira is just ridiculously strong, and I'm hoping I can find something carrying DD to breed her with so I can get a DDTar. I'm working on training a Swords Dancing Feraligatr too. (I finished EVing Froslass and Haunter the other day.)

 23.

Exactly, even with 100% accuracy 5 PP is just way too low... With the sheer amount of Normal/Dark types you'll be seeing in Plasma, never mind at the E4 level, you'll need STAB with plenty of power/accuracy. Brick Break's not too hard to get, thankfully.

Aw... Well, I've got quite a collection of mons, I'm building a national dex again, so if/when you're up for it, let me know and I can get you the goods. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

She is, isn't she? I'm running Crunch/EQ/Rock Slide/Brick Break on her atm. Haxorus (her name is Varanus, I have a ton of girls this run) is DD/Dragon Claw/Brick Break/EQ.

 24.

I didn't even bother with Close Combat because of low PP... Brick Break is reliable and good. And it doesn't take long to get the BP required, I promise.

Hey, actually, I could get you a Heracross. We could set up a trade sometime. >.> I do need a ton of older gen legendaries for dex purposes.

I think I'll go with DD, because my usual approach is one statboost, one or two STAB, and one countering move. And you know I hate Outrage... I'm never going competitive anyway, despite me EVing my Lonely Tyranitar last night out of boredom. (Her name is Jira and she packs a wrecking nearly-300 attack at lv 69).
