Well, so it happened to me. I was playing on my GBA SP and the game glitched while saving. I rebooted the game and it loaded the backed up save file, so far so good. When trying to save the game it just froze. There was nothing I could do. Left the console on for over 30 minutes and nothing. I proceeded to reboot the game once more and met with the "The save file has been deleted" message below.

I got a GBFlash and dumped the save file (attached below). Tried opening it with PKHeX and nothing. I am no expert into digging the hex code of the save files myself, but I know there is something still there because I can find a few FEEBAS (C0 BF BF BC BB CD) somewhere in the file.

Is it possible to recover or transplant this save?? Please I am completely desperate here. I had a bit over 40 hours of gameplay and was going ok with my pokédex, even managed to capture that darn Feebas 😫😫😫 There were some meaningful monsters there I wanted to transfer over to my Pokémon HeartGold game.

Since the file loads as a "Japanese" save with 0 played time / OT name, it indicates there was corruption in Block 0 that stores your trainer data.

Seems like the Box/Party data is intact though.

Block 0 is intact at 0xA000 but unfortunately the recovery tool seems to clear it. Block 14 is the real issue it's missing/filled by FF.

Here's the fixed save:

First, thank you both for the help! Really appreciated and it is a relief to at least be able to seem my monsters are still alive in the game.

But before proceeding to upload the save into the cartridge I opened it in an emulator and it looks a bit weird. Idk if I messed up somewhere or if this is some configuration issue. There are a few glitches with both save files you guys provided. The PC and Pokédex do not work for example

I tried two different emulators and both give me the same problem. Tried changing the language flag in the BlockData but since idk which value corresponds to which lamguage it was a bit of blind trial and it didn't work the same.

I suppose it is not safe to put this save file in the original card right?

Nvm, changed the language flag to 1, exported it and ran RecoverSaveGen3 and now it worked.

You guys are amazing! Thank you once again.
