Desmondcsz Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Trying to make a handful of shinies in Sword, and having issues when it comes to assigning the correct memories to the pokemon. While I've managed to brute force a combination until it marked some "Legal", I'm not keen on doing the same thing for every single pokemon I make in the future, and even less so when I seemingly go through the full list of locations/areas, and they still give me an error of "Can't obtain location on OT version". So was just wondering if there's any guide/doc/etc. specifying the correct memory type/area/intensity/feeling to choose depending on the pokemon and such.

"Proper" is subjective. You can refer to PKHeX's source code for how it verifies memory legality. There are far too many combinations of memories and values, not to mention restrictions or quirks, to be able to "write a guide". It's also not worth the time.

Looked around in Bulbapedia and while they listed places for some specific memories, the SwSh tab was mostly empty. So going to take your word and going to keep brute forcing combinations. Pkhex at least tells me when the intensity should be different so I'll take that. Thanks.
