ATEMVEGETA Posted August 18 Posted August 18 (edited) For some reason PKHeX shows some of my (mostly) static Pokemon as illegal with the error shown below: All those shiny Pokemon are caught 100% legit via RNG manipulation. No hacks involved, etc. PKHeX decided to mark some of them as illegal for some reason like my Kyogre and Rayquaza, while Groudon for example has no problems. Makes no sense, all of them share the exact same shiny frame. Another example is the Swampert line (also shown in the pic) which was my starter and also got RNG'd legally to be shiny which appears as illegal again in PKHeX, while later I got shiny Torchic line of the same frame which appears as legal. [for anyone wondering: 1) I got the whole line through the cloning glitch (yes I kept the Starter first form up until Battle Tower). 2) I got Torchic by using Gen3 ACE to re-enable the Birch-Bag event to get another Starter. Again, 100% legit Pokemon, NO reason to be flagged as illegal (Actually the original Starter Mudkip flagged as illegal while Torchic is not go figure..) Edited August 18 by ATEMVEGETA
ATEMVEGETA Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 Not only Static Pokemon but other random Pokemon may have this issue, like this random RNG'd shiny Smeargle. And I just saw this new thing: What the hell is that?
ATEMVEGETA Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 Random non-shiny Rhyhorn from the Safari Zone, with the same issue.

ATEMVEGETA Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 (edited) Check PID to IV Correctly ? What's that? What, you mean to alter its IVs manually? I am not gonna do that I don't want to modify my save file. Edited August 19 by ATEMVEGETA
ATEMVEGETA Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 I can see the difference. The Pokemon that appear as legal have different stats from the others that appear with a PID issue A Legal Pokemon's stats: A flagged Pokemon's stats: They differ at SpA, SpD and Spe! But WHY???? They were caught on the exact same shiny Baseful frame. Groudon and Kyogre's example makes rly no sense at all coz I caught one right after the other.
ATEMVEGETA Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 (edited) Wait ...wait... wait! In RNG Reporter, I can get the Treecko's IVs by using Method 1: BUT.... by using Method H-4 I do indeed get the other set of IVs (Torchic's IVs), if I use a Baseful Synchronizer (which ofc I used my Baseful Natu for all of these hunts) Conclusion: PKHeX probably flags out 100% legal Pokemon and their developers should be alerted for this. Kaphotics Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Emulators that don't emulate the hardware accurately result in incorrect PIDIVs. Not an issue with PKHeX.

Atrius97 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 1 hour ago, Queso123 said: So you have to use a good ROM? And how can you know that? By correctly dumping the game ROM from your legitimate physical copy. That aside, Kurt wasn't talking about the ROM, he was talking about the emulator itself. Some are more accurate than others, and depending on the emulator and settings, it can give you RNG results that would never occur on an actual physical console.
