Now that I've hacked my Switch, how can I use pkhex to edit my save file with it?

I followed recently a guide that told me I needed  to hack my Switch in order to use pkhex... Now that this is settled, I am unsure about what to do next. I've searched everywhere and I couldn't find a guide that explained clearly how to modify your Pokémon in Violet/Scarlet with a homebrew system + pkhex. I tried to do it by myself or by looking at some videos from gen 8 though, without any success. JKSV allegedly doesn't work anymore with pkhex so I'm kind of stuck. Am I missing something? Everyone else seems to be able to edit their save file somehow. Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if the answer seems obvious, I just really can't figure it out.

You need a program like jksv or checkpoint to make a backup of your save, extract and edit

Or use the plug in

But I've already done that and it's not compatible unfortunately? Am I doing it wrong? Could you detail a bit more the whole process if you don't mind?

Im gonna explain jksv (wich its the one i use)

Open jksv

Select your profile

Select pokemon SV

make a new save

Send the new save to pc

Open file "main" on pkhex

Edit to your liking

Send back folder to SD

open jksv and select pokemon

Hold Y to restore save

It does exactly that everytime I use the extracted save file with pkhx

Interesting, I did the exact same thing yet... Do you use your SD card to export the file from your switch to your computer?

There is a program called nxmtp to conect your switch as USB.

But i use auto-legallity plug in to edit online, to make it work you need sysbot base

Update your pkhex, thats the problem, look the blue text on the topright corner of pkhex

i use jksv but when i try to copy the backup to my pc it shows a passphrase.bin  only... am i missing out something?

Open jksv, select your profile, pokemon game and new

Once the backup its done. Conect the sd to pc and edit with pkhex the main file

litterly just made my whole day better. I have been struggling to get the save to work and this helped out so much tyt y

Can this be safely done to sysnand saves?

Yes, save editing works for Sysnand saves, just don’t make ridiculous edits (like 0x999 every item) and then going online.

as far as I know, no one got flagged for stuff like that, but you’ll wanna be safe.

Also, remember that cheating against unsuspecting opponents (eg. using mons with significant edits) are against our rules.

So if I just gave myself the pokemon I'm missing to complete the dex, I wouldn't have a problem?
